Aveeno Calm + Restore Redness Relief Foaming Facial Cleanser - 6 fl oz

This cleanser works well for daily facial washing. I like that it is fragrance free, as perfumed products often irritate my skin. This formula is easy to use, foams up easily and washes off well. I will note, however, that if you wear cosmetics, remove that first, as this isn’t designed to remove foundation, mascara, etc. It is best as a facial cleanser and does seem to reduce redness, but my face isn’t often red, but it does feel smooth and less oily after using this. I think this would be best, for me anyway, during winter month, as that is when my skin is drier and having used this for a few weeks, I have noticed that my skin is less rough and still supple. I’d recommend this cleanser based on its effectiveness and the quality ingredients.

I've been using Aveeno Ultra-Calming Foaming Cleanser for years and it was always a well-loved staple in our house! It's getting harder to find though so I've been using this one. It really is extremely similar and works well. I'd say it isn't quite as "light" as the other one but maybe that's because this one seems to be a tiny bit more moisturizing, although still great for my oily, very sensitive and acne-prone skin. There's no scent and it rinses clean. I will say, if you're using it as a makeup remover you may have to double cleanse, use a wash cloth or toner, etc. Otherwise, it really does take the redness out and really calms down my skin! I'm also glad this one doesn't have parabens like the other one, so for that I think it's worth a try. I use an AHA toner and a little retinol for dark spots and acne, also to prevent wrinkles (I'm in my mid 30s) so this does help offset some of the dryness and redness those can sometimes cause. My tween daughter is also starting to get breakouts and uses Differin for those which causes some irritation and dryness, and this cleanser helped her a lot and took the rendess out right away and didn't make her oily at all. Wonderful product for those with sensitive/inflamed skin who have trouble finding cleansers and products that don't irritate or sting.

The first few times i used this it made my face red for a few minutes after washing and my skin broke out that week too. I used a different product for the next week and my skin evened out again, then I decided to give this one more try. My skin is reacting better to it now. Im not sure why i had a bad reaction to it at first but now i have no issues. It leaves my skin clean and soft with a healthy glow. I've used several foam cleansers before and I've always only needed one pump to have an adequate amount for cleaning my entire face. One pump with this cleanser doesn't seem to be enough, i actually have to use 2 - 3 pumps to clean my face properly. I will use it until its gone as long as my skin doesnt start reacting badly to it again.
