Aveeno Skin Relief Nourishing Lotion - 500ml

I received this lotion from a friend. The lotion promises to reduce itching and provide moisture. I don't find it particularly impressive in either of those. I have not used it much as I find the fact that it's medicated as a minus, however it could come useful for sun burns, insect bites or skin irritation. The cream has a caution to use max 3-4 times daily and not to use in large quantities, especially over open wounds, raw surfaces or blistered areas or under a bandage, which makes me hesitant to use over a new tattoo as the only reason I'd use the anti-itch treatment. White cream, no scent, I just don't know what I'd use it for so I have not used it much.

Aveeno Skin Relief

I love this cream and keep repurchasing it regularly. The one big downside is that pump becomes useless when 30% is still left in the bottle. It is absolutely impossible to get the remaining cream out through the pump. I have to turn the bottle upside down and remove the pump each time I want to get to the leftover of the product in the bottle. As it got more expensive recently, I don't like leaving even one drop of cream before I recycle the bottle. I strongly advise the manufacturer to change the packaging and to sell this cream in the round jar with a lid. Otherwise would have given it 5 starts.

Excellent for dry and irritable skin

I received this item at the right time. The cold weather arrived and my hands and skin on my legs normally becomes very irritated and inflamed in the cold weather. I used this cream throughout the cold spell and my skin remained soft and smooth with no itchiness or inflamed skin.Buyers should note it does not have a fragrance but in my eyes the job of this cream is to help sensitive skin. The texture is perfect and feels luxurious. The quantity it outstanding as a small amount goes a long way. After four weeks of daily use I still have half a bottle of cream remaining. Excellent for dry hands. Has stopped my hands being chapped and sore throughout winter. Good moisturiser

I have very dry and sensitive skin specially during winter my skin gets very dry. Usually I use very thick moisturiser or cremes. I wasn’t sure if Aveeno will work for me. But after using it for 4 weeks I can say im very impressed. It’s very hydrating and my skin felt so smooth and good. It’s non greasy and fast absorbing. Even though it says non scented, it does smell like burned almonds or so. But the smell doesn’t last long. I would definitely continue to use it and also recommend it.

Great for dry skin

I have been a big fan of aveeno for a long time.However this was my first time using the Skin Relief Moisturising Lotion.As usual aveeno has delivered, I have seen and felt a massive positive difference on my skin since I started using the Moisturising Lotion.I gave birth a few months ago which left my skin feeling dry, rough and slightly itchy. Since I started using aveeno Skin Relief Moisturising Lotion my skin feels hydrated, supple and soft.I really like the light texture of the lotion (not greasy) and that it melts into my skin without leaving residue.

Great for really dry skin

This lotion is a lovely consistency and is absorbed quickly. The pump top is great for avoiding having to dip fingers into the cream also.I have dry/sensitive skin and found that after using the product for just a few days, my skin became really itchy (particularly inner elbows and behind knees). I had to discontinue using the product on my body as a result and the itchiness did then subside.However, I carried on using the product on my hands only, which are always really dry, red and sore and it has really made a difference. The skin on my hands feels a lot less "angry"and the redness has lessened. The skin feels well moisturised and much less fragile than it did before I started using the product.

Improved my skin

My dry skin on legs has visibly improved quickly. It stopped the itch and the skin looks smooth and feels stronger and healthier. There is no scent so much less chemical goes into the skin. It moisturises and contains prebiotic which helps the skin barrier. It doesn't leave the greasy feeling.It easy to use it as it contains a pump as opposed to the squeezy bottles.The only issue is that the bottle is not made of recycled plastic. It is recyclable but not made of recycled plastic.

New formula is awful! Return the previouls one

I used this lotion for 10 years on daily basis. It was perfect for my dry skin. However, you changed the formula now. New formula is much worse than previous one. It is not so smooth, it is not soaking into skin as previous formula. It does not nourish the skin as previous one. So, it was really great product that was used by so many people with dry skin. Now, it is really bad product with new formula implemented. Now need to find another lotion. Please change it back! Why do you break what worked well for many people? Issue your new formula as separate product, but return the previous one

Since the recent reformulation though, the lotion feels thinner and leaves an oily feeling on your skin even after it's soaked in. It still hydrates, but it feels as though it's not quite as effective given the thinner texture. Unfortunately, my skin also seems to have a slight reaction to the new formula.Whereas it used to be a real unicorn product, I can no longer recommend this, especially for the price. I can only hope they bring the old formulation back - luckily I managed to find a few tubes of the older packaging, but they won't last forever.
