Aveeno Stress Relief Body Wash 354 ml

This body wash was a lifesaver when I was having an allergic reaction to some laundry detergent. I had contact dermatitis and was itching all over, so I couldn't use regular body wash at that time. The fragrances in them would have irritated the rash that I had on my skin, so I knew that I needed to get some Aveeno body wash! (Everybody knows if you get chickenpox or any kind of rash, go to the store and buy everything that says Aveeno on it! LOL That is the truth.) Anyways, this is fragrance free and doesn't have a whole bunch of extra "junk" in it, so it is very gentle on the skin. Found a new version to love right here with this lavender scented edition of this oatmeal lotion that i always get. This is my first time seeing one so big (33fl oz) and my eyes were just as big with amazement. I definitely recommend giving this a try if you were thinking about it. Funny bit: when i was checking out the man who rang me up stopped halfway through scanning my things to tell me how much he loves this very same lotion and that i made a 'good decision' hahaha. He also said rubs some in under his nose before night and it puts him right out. Lavender has different effects for everyone and mine are just a calm smell but it was definitely good to hear that someone was pleased with it.

For the past 9 years I have had intermittent itchy skin that is not season dependent and unrelieved with scratching. It has gotten so bad, I have left scars on my legs from scratching so much. I have tried dozens of lotions and body washes including Cetaphil, Dove, Eucerin, Vaseline, CeraVe, Nivea, Suave, and other Aveeno products. Nothing has consistently kept the itching away until I found the combination of Aveeno Active Naturals Skin Relief Body Wash and Moisturizing Lotion. With daily to every other day use, my legs have improved tremendously. I have chosen many products with no fragrance and oatmeal, but something about this combination has been a lifesaver. I will continue to be repurchasing these again and again.

Absolutely relaxing and de-stressing wash

I tried Aveeno Stress Relief Body Wash for Dry Skin with Colloidal Oatmeal, Ylang Ylang, Chamomile and Lavender this morning and love it. I cannot wait to use this with every shower now. Firstly, the smell is very subtle but very relaxing. There are subtle hints of lavender, chamomile and Ylang Ylang flower. It's just a very relaxing and pleasant scent. It's smells clean and fresh and natural. Used as a body wash, this lathers well and doesn't strip the skin. Rather it moisturizers as it cleans. It's extremely gentle on sensitive skin. It didn't dry my skin and instead of lathering, I recommend just pumping a bit onto the skin and then shaving. I got a nice close shave and my skin smells wonderful. I left my skin soft to the touch. It's very soothing and comes with oats. It is soap free and dye free and therefore perfectly formulated to work with sensitive skin. My skin loves this! I feel good about using this because it is from a brand I know and trust to be gentle on my sensitive skin. I love the addition of the lavender and chamomile scent. Never overwhelming, just relaxing and gentle enough for babies. In fact my two-year-old granddaughter use this today as well. She also has very sensitive baby skin and her skin was left clean and soft afterwards. I think it's perfect for the whole family. It's definitely my new favourite body wash and I highly recommend trying it.

This product was convenient to use. The pump is necessary given the huge volume of the bottle ( wouldn't want to be tipping up and down each use at 975mL). While this product left my skin feeling as moisturized as any other body wash (which I do still put lotion on afterwards in this dry winter-y weather), what it did differently as it triggered my scent allergies, so I won't be using it again, personally. As I said earlier, if you like strong mainly floral scents, this product is for you.

Maybe in a different scent..

I like this soap but the smell is a bit different. It’s really strong, and for me to say that is a big deal because I love scents. I wouldn’t even say it’s lavender maybe the yang ylang is just overpowering.. to be honest I’m a little shocked I don’t see more reviews on the smell. My hubby refused to use it even and he could care less what soap I buy usually. It’s really thick and concentrated which I appreciate because it is on the more expensive side. Aveeno is usually pretty mild but I think the scent causes my eczema to flare up. I’m not sure if I would try again. I like the coconut one much better and I wish that came in the pump bottle!
