Avene Tinted Compact SPF 50 Sand 10g

I absolutely love this. I use the OBAGI sunblocks in both Matte and Cool Tone (I have reviewed both on here) and as a result of the tinted I no longer where foundation. Not even in the evening as the coverage and natural look is that good. THIS product takes it to an entirely different level as it applies just like a foundation / powder would. The Obagi tinted goes on shiny so I apply a layer of this on top of it as it is matte. This is also so easy to apply when I am on the golf course or out walking. Be warned, when applying i fyou have dry skin or use Retin A, pat lightly on the flaky areas - do not rub - as it will cake. Otherwise it goes on creamy and leaves a nice coverage to the skin. It does blend well with my skin tone which is light to neutral. I never tan in the sun and am always wearing sunblock and a hat so I would know if it looked really dark on my complexion. I really like this product and consider it very convenient to travel with and use in my every day life.

A sure thing

This is an excellent product for sensitive, acne-prone skin. It feels a little thick on the skin, but is nevertheless suitable for intensive use in summer, holding up well under the heat and despite perspiration. It does, however, transfer to the mask. It leaves a matte finish, which is rare for an alcohol-free sunscreen. As I find it hard to apply 1g of product, I use it as a complement to another sun protection product (the new Intense Protect is not bad as it penetrates quickly and well, even when using the recommended dose, so it's a good base) and as a touch-up during the day, when hiking (ideal size, doesn't melt, practical sponge supplied). In short, it's been my favorite for years, despite its minor flaws.

Foundation alternative

So I wasn't expecting this to replace a foundation - but this amazing Avene compact has stepped in to do just that! I purchased it for the SPF benefits and just thought the tint may be to minimize any white cast. However, I can use just this to cover imperfections of my hyperpigmention/melasma areas and get the amazing SPF benefits too! I am slowly working my way through the AVENE product line and have not been disappointed by anything. It's a solid researched based line with great ingredients for our skin. I purchased both shades ... but I love the "Honey" for summertime best.

Perfect

It's simply perfect !!!!! no reaction, very nice even complexion, matte all day (I have normal to combination skin) the beige color totally matches my skin tone and in the summer if I find the shade too light compared to the rest I put on top a little bronzer and there you go 😉 and personally since I don't respect the1g I apply under the compact an index 50 cream I wait 20 min then compact and there: OPTIMAL PROTECTION. Perfect product

To protect and mask after skin grafting on the nose. But impossible to find at the moment, I despair, fortunately I still have some, but I need a second one: one for the house and one for my travels. Will you be delivering to pharmacies soon, because in the south the sun is starting to sting, and I never go out without it, even in winter.

Pick the right color

I thought I was purchasing a powder, but it is a cream. Unfortunately I purchased the darker one first which is too dark (dore) for me. I have an olive complexion, but have kept my face out of the sun for 30+ years. So then I purchased the lighter (sable) tone which is perfect. It evens out skin imperfections like a foundation and provides 50 spf protection, so a win-win! Im not sure I can return the dore cream which seems like a waste. Hopefully I can find someone who can use it.

Recommended by my dermatologist. This product glides on, covers well without feeling heavy. It looks very natural and compliments a medium to fair complexion. High quality and safe ingredients as well as sun protection is a plus.

The product came packaged very unprofessionally and was out of the box. The compact was also very dirty. I am not having good luck with these 3rd parties Walmart is using for products.The make up it self I love. Melts right in. Nice light coverage and sun protection.

The product is thick but actually gives you great foundation coverage as well as sunscreen--so all you have to do is moisturize a bit before applying. Compact with mirror is useful on the go.
