It’s great to be able to size up to the larger option as your baby grows without having to go back to the store. The bottles were easy to use, and fit easily in our existing sterilizer. The set comes with a bottle brush. This brush is awesome. One end is the brush and one end is for cleaning the bottle nipples. The brush cleans up easily in the top rack of the dishwasher and does not have a sponge, so does not collect bacteria as easily.We used the Phillips pacifiers exclusively with both of my children. They are easy for the babies to use, they are easy to clean and sterilize. It would be nice if the newborn set came with two pacifiers instead of one, as we know that it does not take long before one is dropped on the floor.Overall, any parent that intends to use bottles would be happy to receive this set, as it has everything a parent needs to get started with bottle feeding and the nipples are a great shape for baby.

Nursing is hard in general and I think particularly hard with your first born. I personally love the various flow options because I like to use the low flow option, because psychologically it helps me to feel like my son still has to work for the milk and won’t default to wanting only the bottle because it is virtually effortless. I would say that the multiple flow options is my favourite component of the set.My son wasn’t very fond of the pacifier, I think he is used to a soft rubber pacifier so this was not his favourite. The design of the pacifier from my point of was good, however, each kid is so different and my little guy didn’t like this one.The set itself I would say is the perfect set to gift a new parent, it comes with all the necessary components. If I could add anything it would be a drying rack or even a sterilizer to go with it or to make it an even better gift set, either way this set does the trick and is probably an ideal sampler kit for new parents to test on their child(ren).Overall, a great product and set, my son just didn’t like the pacifier (I can live with that).

The nipples really imitates the breast very well as it only releases milk when baby actively sucks. The wide dome shape also provides a good platform for my baby as well to rest her mouth and that creates a good latch and seal. There was practically no leakage ! I found that with other traditional continuous flow bottles out there, she gets nipple confusion, causing milk to spill out of her mouth, sometimes even choking/coughing on the milk when she wants to pause on the sucking. With these, I am happy to see none of that happening, no wasted milk, and no mess!With the large bottle circumference built to immitate the breast does come with some negative drawbacks though. I found that when I took these out travelling and want to heat up my milk on my thermoses, the bottle was too wide for the mouth of the thermoses that I owned. I ended up having to bring an extra mug with me to place the bottle in hot water for warming. Will need to be in search of a wider mouth thermos/tumbler to bring with me travelling. The lid/cover on the bottles sometimes take a couple tries to pop off, making it especially more difficult when holding the baby with one hand and trying to pop the lid off the bottle with the other.My baby doesnt typically use pacifiers but we did give it a try as the kit came with 2 of them. She quite liked them and fell asleep pretty quickly! Impressed as well with the slim design and the soft material!Bottles were easy to clean with minimal parts to wash.Overall, I am impressed with this set. It is a great starter set for my newborn and I will likely be buying more nipples as baby grows.

It also included 2 pacifiers which were actually the same as the ones my son used in the NICU and loved for about 2-3 months until he started to prefer the bulb-type pacifiers, which tended to stay in his mouth easier as he became a stronger sucker (the design of these ones does seem to make them fall out quite easily, which can get annoying when I am then spending the better part of the day popping them back in every time he spits them out).My absolute favourite feature of this set is how easy the bottles are to clean. It's honestly been a game-changer for me, as I was spending SO much time cleaning bottles and bottle parts every single day. The bottles are wide-necked which makes it a lot easier to fit a brush inside, and they are only 4 parts: the bottle, the nipple, the screw cap, and the lid, all of which are super easy to clean. They also work flawlessly with my Philips Avent bottle sterilizer that I had already been using, which was a big plus. I do also love the simplicity of these bottles and how they look, as I don't really tend to love tons of colours or patterns on products like these.There are a few considerations to be made about this set, however. The first is that the bottles are a bit bulky, and I found that they are less comfortable to hold than narrow-necked bottles. However, this isn't a big deal to me and is definitely not a deal-breaker. The second is that, in my experience, they do let in a bit more air, which can create bubbles and consequently lead to more gas which might be an issue for babies with bad reflux. It hasn't seemed to create too many problems for us though, so also not a deal breaker. The third is that while I don't find they leak while in use when the caps are screwed on tightly, the lids are not the greatest for preventing leakage when the bottles are jostled while in transit (i.e. never tip them upside down, even with the lids on). Lastly, the bottle brush is not the best I've used as it's only one sided and the bristles are quite rough, but this isn't a big deal since we have others that are very affordable and work great.All in all, I would definitely recommend this bottle set to new parents, as it offers a lot of variety which is helpful when you can't necessarily predict what your baby will need or prefer. I always do extensive research and critical review before landing on the products I love to use, and after trying it out, this is definitely a product I would repurchase in the future.

However, I believe you could get around this issue with a reliable electric bottle warmer.Overall, I thought this was a good quality set, I feel comfortable using it if my daughter can get the hang of the natural rhythm needed, and I would absolutely gift one of these sets to a new mom!
I received this set to test as part of the Phillips test community. I was impressed from opening the box on delivery. It's s great starter set and would make a nice gift too. It came with 2 larger bottles and 2 smaller bottles both with easy to read measurements for making milk. Also with the teats and tops. A bottle brush for cleaning and a dummy which I didn't notice to start wiyh but this was a great find the other night when I had an unhappy little man and couldn't find his original. The dummy has a nice size teat that was just the right size for his mouth.The bottles are string and hard wearing and have really worked well for my son. A bottle brush for cleaning and a dummy which I didn't notice to start wiyh but this was a great find the other night when I had an unhappy little man and couldn't find his original. The dummy has a nice size teat that was just the right size for his mouth.The bottles are string and hard wearing and have really worked well for my son. With the lid on they stay secure and no leaks in the bag.Very impressed with these products and would definitely recommend to other moms as well as purchasing again for myself. 10 out of 10 for this set

It comes with four bottles in two different sizes and four nipples in different sizes, two pacifiers, 7 caps for storage brush for cleaning.The bottles are a good size and shape, very lite and easy to hold. The nipples are great for my Lo since i mostly breastfeed but at times I pump so my husband can bond with baby over feeding. My baby is 3 months so old enough to avoid nipple or breast due to Confusion but this wasn’t a problem due to the fact that the nipple mimics the breast shape. The pacifiers are small and great but they don't stay in his mouth long without my help. I also purchased the glass bottle and the lids that came with the new born set fits them perfectly. Make sure to take the time out to lock lid onto bottle properly because if not then bottle may leak. Otherwise bottle is perfect and I highly recommend the set to parents who choose to exclusively bottle-feed or switch between breast and bottle and if your baby has colic. After trying out other brands they are my go to every time so I would give the set as a baby shower gift so other parents can avoid spending too much just to find the right bottle.
