We enjoy Azul but wanted something we could play when on the go, on vacation or in areas with smaller table space. This version checks all those boxes! It's just large enough to not feel too small but small enough to fit the bill as a travel game. It's great to be able to take a favorite game with us wherever we go.

One of my favourite abstract, now can be portable and almost resist to environment damage. I will carry this one everywhere

It’s azul but smaller. Almost perfect except plastic player boards are a little opaque making it hard for newer players to see which tile goes where.

This portable version of Azul is better than the original. It has overlays to hold the pieces in place and the overlay has a score marker. If you love Azul, you will love this travel version.
This is a good small rendition of a larger excellent game. You'll get a good experience in such a small box. It plays out the same as the regular game. I have to admit however, I'd rather play the larger version just for the same of being able to move and keep track of all the small pieces better.
Because we travel a lot and enjoy taking games, this version caught our attention.Positives:- Same gameplay as the original large box and supports same number of players- Components are ~50% smaller- Player boards have an acrylic overlay with MUCH better score trackers built in, and spaces for tiles are convex to hold them in place in case of bumps (tiles have a concave space)Negatives- Included bag is good quality, but missed an opportunity for a drawstring or zipper where if included the bag would be able to store all components and make travel even lighter/better. Instead they used a single button that leaves large gaps for the components to fall out- Acrylic overlays are slightly cloudy, likely due to that specific material having more strength and ... MoreBecause we travel a lot and enjoy taking games, this version caught our attention.Positives:- Same gameplay as the original large box and supports same number of players- Components are ~50% smaller- Player boards have an acrylic overlay with MUCH better score trackers built in, and spaces for tiles are convex to hold them in place in case of bumps (tiles have a concave space)Negatives- Included bag is good quality, but missed an opportunity for a drawstring or zipper where if included the bag would be able to store all components and make travel even lighter/better. The game itself is great, but this smaller version, which is supposed to be meant for travel, has score tracks that are too tight, and everything else seems so cheap and fragile as to make it not worth your money. Save up. But Azul. It's great!
I like the pouch and boards and the rest of the setup. I had not played the full-size version but was interested in this mini version as it seemed like a good travel game option. I'm hoping this will go into our camping game catalog going forward.
If you love azul, you will love this. Given the choice between the full version vs mini, I will probably always prefer the full version. The small bits get a little fiddly, but it works great when space is tight.
First time playing Azul, and found the Azul Mini to be very convenient. Great game with an easier way to bring the game places. My only compliant would be how they used a button instead of a draw string. It’s not a big deal, just a preference.
