Azzaro pour Homme by @azzaro_parfums is a Aromatic Fougere fragrance for men. Azzaro pour Homme was launched in 1978. Azzaro pour Homme was created by Gerard Anthony and Richard Wirtz. Top notes are Anise, Lavender, Lemon, Caraway, Basil, Bergamot, Clary Sage and iris; middle notes are Vetiver, Sandalwood, Patchouli, Cedar, Juniper Berries and Cardamom; base notes are Oakmoss, Leather, Amber, Musk and Tonka Bean, according to Fragrantica. A true classic treasure. This really is one that you need to try the vintage version of to understand what a masterpiece this used to be. Don't get hooked on the vintage nonsense. The latest formulation is more modern and smoother, and of course a far better value. This is the newest version but I’m finding it very interesting and it’s a classic scent that never goes out of fashion. Azzaro is dark, heady and gloriously off trend. Whilst the lavender is obvious, I pick up the sourness of juniper and the moist skankiness of the wood and moss. The Sandalwood is not dusty or creamy like it usually is in many classics. It's bright, vibrant and at the same time very earthy, probably mixing with Vetiver and Cedar. Very masculine, musky and spicy, yet soft and subtle. Never overpowering, cloying, loud or offensive. The DNA still holds up and is great for that classic barber shop smell. For the price, it is an exceptional value. Longevity is about 5-6 hours on skin and clothes, projection weak to moderate for first 1-2of hours.

Great fragrance from 1978. I wore this in the 80's and enjoyed it a lot. It is a Top 10 Best Fougeres and a Top 10 Best Fragrances for Men as listed by Luca Turin. To me it is absolutely one of The Best Colognes ever created. I revisited this during this pandemic times and it brought me back to the 80's. Azzaro's ads from music superstar Enrique lglesias and tv vampire Ian Somerhalder got me back to this. Good to have fresh ads to remind the "old kids" like me who wore and enjoyed it when it was relatively new. Thus, l have to order from FragranceX. So happy to have Azzaro again in my wardrobe. Fantastic masculine cologne that l should always have in my classic collection!

Azzaro Pour Homme is a fantastic fragrance that deserves to be praised. This fragrance is masculine, bold, and sophisticated all at the same time, making it ideal for any occasion. With hints of cedarwood, musk, and patchouli, the fragrance is meant to evoke confidence and sophistication. I like how the scent has a classic feel to it, but it also has a modern twist that, in my opinion, keeps it fresh and exciting.
Azzarro is a time valued cologne. It's scent is timeless. It was fragrance I frequently wore as a younger man. I remember enjoying the fragrant scent of the mixed subtle spices, with hints of Juniper, Sandalwood, and Sage. It's a great men's cologne and it's scent is as masculine and as fresh as I remember it to be.
If you like fougere, but this. Inexpensive enough for me to take a chance. I am very happy with this purchase. Great scent, great dry down, classy. Shipped safe and secure. Thank you
(Me: 22, Sister: 20) My sister and I are obsessed with this fragrance and I have never smelt anything like it before. Personally, no other scent compares to this one. At first, I thought it was slightly synthetic- but I no longer smell that at all. It's so deep but not overpowering, very addictive and delicious sorta smells a little like grape soda but with a lot more depth. There's not too many notes in here so it's extremely cohesive and blends seamlessly. My sister and I both agree that this is our favourite fragrance of all time.
It's difficult to find most Aramis colognes these days (apart from the original classic) and they tend to be ridiculously expensive if you do. So thought I'd try Azzaro Pour Homme which is reasonably priced and supposed to be a close match to Aramis Tuscany. Well yes it is similar but misses that certain je ne c'est quoi. However I do like this Azzaro and it's great for daily wear although you'll be lucky to get much more than 2 hours staying power.
I've used this since the early 80s. I finished my last bottle I had for over 10 years. Replaced it with this, not even close. There has been some heavy cost cutting in the formula. The old one was still present on my dirty shirts three days latter. This one is gone without a trace two to three hours latter. If Azzaro cannot create the same formula as in the past, they should just discontinue making this.
In October 1980 I celebrated my 16th birthday in New Orleans and I acquired two things on that trip that I still use daily:Addidas running shoes and Azzaro pour homme. This eau de toilette changes as the day goes forward and lasts until the next shower. Its woodsy aroma works well with the wools and flannels of autumn and winter just as its mellowing scent mixes beautifully with the natural glistening of a humid summer day’s exertion. This original is a 365 day fragrance with different notes on the Fourth of July from New Year’s Eve but always leaves one feeling refreshed and on point.
