Baby Einstein 'Magic Touch Piano' Musical Toy
With the delicate touch of her little fingers, Baby Einstein and Hape’s ‘Magic Touch Piano’ will let baby create thousands of different songs. Made from wood, this piano toy features magic touch technology – no buttons or keys needed! Two modes of play give your toddler the ability to make her own music or play along with classic melodies. Giving your baby toys that make music helps her tune into different rhythmic patterns. This musical development toy comes with 3 sheets of music. She’ll practice colour coordination by matching the colour-coded notes on the sheets to the keys on her piano. But this toddler toy isn’t just for kiddos – join her at the piano bench to have just as much fun! And don’t worry about waking little brother or sister. The volume control buttons let you turn the music to low when you need to or crank it up to high for a main-stage piano performance. At either volume, the higher end quality speakers make sure your baby’s sonata sounds just right.

Love this little wooden touch key piano. We got it yesterday, our 4m old immediately gravitated to it. She was able to activate the keys on her own, changing sounds and songs with ease. It conveniently fits on her activity jumper. It also sits perfectly over her legs as she is nestled in my arms and lap, letting her play effortlessly. As a pianist myself. I absolutely love the real sounding notes and it's accompanying music sheets. I do hope they release more sheet music, since it can stand up to baby/toddler wear and tear from chewing and drooling. Also love that I can take the same sheet music that I played for our baby on their piano and play it on my piano. It impressed her older siblings. My 11 and 5 yr old commented on how they wished they had a toy like that. ... MoreLove this little wooden touch key piano. We got it yesterday, our 4m old immediately gravitated to it. I reminded them, that we had the original model with fabric that you had to push down to activate, it was my 11 yr old and 8yr old favorite toy as barbies, the 5yr wasn't too keen on it then. Hands down, Baby Einstein has amazing products for developing kids. We are also huge fans of their show too!

Our 18M has loved this since I bought it @ 6mos. Super durable (he has dropped it from his high chair more times than anyone can count) and fun settings. He’s too young to follow the color-coded musical scores, but he loves it so much I know he’ll use it up through when he is able to play the songs by himself. Educational. Highly recommended for musical babies.

This toy was bought for our grandson for his first birthday. He was quite engaged at first but I think it would suit an older child if the full use is to be appreciated. It has a good tone, a full octave, but no semitones, so the sharps and flats are depicted on the keyboard but not playable. The child can choose from making up their own tune or with the press of a button the piano will play tunes that the child can accompany. In this case the keys the child touches will not be the true sound for each key but will harmonise. As the child gets older he can learn to use the music sheets provided by matching colours. Sound level is adjustable.

At first glance this seems like a simple harmless toy with a nice sounding piano. Wrong! The person who designed this is certainly not a genius. If your baby puts any weight whatsoever on the keys of the piano. The whole toy tips hard sending the large wooden plank directly into your child’s eye/forehead/mouth. We thought it would get better as our daughter got older, but no. After a fat lip, a black eye and knot on her forehead we are throwing this piece of junk away. How it got past even one safety check is beyond me.
Not safe, feet have a poor design that causes the whole piano to tip forward when the baby hit the front. This causes the top part of the piano to pivot right into the head/face. It should be pulled from market until fixed. Could be solved with longer feet. First time my daughter banged on it this happened and left a mark just above her eye.
I bought this for my baby when she was first starting to sit, thinking it would help give her something to support herself with and be motivated by. Her first day playing with it, it flipped over and whacked her in the face, without her doing anything unusual - just playing with it the way it's meant to be played with. Into the closet it went until she was better able to support herself. I took it back out recently now that she's a great sitter, thinking she'd be able to occupy herself with it independently. Within a couple of minutes of play, she had again flipped the piano into her face. I don't want to let her use it until she's aware of exactly how to hold her hands while playing without it hurting her, but I'm pretty sure that by that time she'll be too old for ... I like the way the piano looks and the music it plays. It's a Christmas gift so the child hasn't received it yet. I'm sure it will be loved, though. I am disappointed that the keys aren't true to the note sounds. and last black key didn't seem to work. I'm hoping it was a glitch when I checked it before getting it wrapped. If the note doesn't play, it may be returned.
We received this piano as a gift when we had our baby and I have to say, my daughter took to it immediately. Well...not immediately, she had to learn how to hold her head up first...THEN it was all about this little piano. Even before she could play the individual notes, she loved pushing the auto-play button. Brilliant little feature, by the way. She hasn't yet realized that the 'sheet music' that's included is color coded so she can play the song...which I LOVE because this super solidly constructed piano not only stands the test of time in it's durability, but it's relevance and functionality as well. Every kid on the planet should have one of these. Seriously.
I am a big fan of Hape wooden toys! I’ve bought various Hape toys for my twin boys and have never been disappointed. Their toys are quality built, brightly colored, and creative. I bought this piano for my niece’s 1st birthday and see loves it. Sound is gentle, pleasing, and has volume and mode settings. Not loud like the loud Fisher Price & VTech ones. Price point is reasonable and even better if you catch a Mastermind monthly Tuesday sale!
My 7 month old loves this toy. it makes her giggle and she spends so much time playing with it but it's dangerous and really poorly designed in regard to stability. it was designed to be more pretty than sturdy and it flips over and smacks your baby in the face. it could have been so much better... I wouldn't reorder it even though my baby does love it. it's just not worth her getting smacked in the face by a wood piano
