As a mom of two young children under three, I am often plagued with challenges traveling independently. The BabyBjorn enables me to free up my hands for tasks other than carrying my youngest. My daughter absolutely enjoys exploring her surroundings while close to me, and so everybody is happy. We bought the Free carrier back in 2020 when our first baby was born, I gave it to my sibling when they had their baby and we are now using it for our second baby born this year and I cannot recommend this product enough. I came back to the website 3 years later just to write a review for any parents debating between the tons of carriers out there. This carrier is amazing for your back and shoulders as baby gets heavier and the long sessions of using it. It is so easy to get on and off and get baby adjusted. It is even easier to clean and adjust as needed. This product has gone through 3 years and 3 babies and is still in perfect condition. WORTH IT!

I was looking forward to using this carrier but it has too many straps and buckles. Of course it feels very safe and secure, however my daughter (8 weeks) always gets very distressed being places inside, the buckles take too long to fix, and it feels too much like you are squashing her in. If it was so bit simpler I could get her in without her really noticing. It is also difficult to adjust the straps when on your own . Once walking in it she is very happy and loves looking around. Bear in mind you still need to support their head really until they can self support, as the back part of the carrier is a little floppy. Of course you can't fault the Baby Bjorn quality but I'm going to try a fabric carrier now instead!

I initially saw this carrier featured as a great option for petite people since I am 5’2”. I found that many structured carriers were too long, and I found the wraps cumbersome. I needed something that I could easily throw baby in in the back seat of my car as an alternative to the car seat baby carrier that is too heavy for me. This has been perfect! Even though it doesn’t have lumbar support, I’ve found that as a short person, if I make sure the straps in the back cross below my shoulder blades, it acts like lower back support. Perfect for summer, especially in hotter countries (writing from Portugal). Material is soft and super breathable. The only problem I have with it is using it with a newborn the neck support us too soft, so when the baby falls asleep the head goes too much to one side because the material does provide support and his head goes agains the plastic fastening thingy on the side so I had to put some fabric to protect his head/face from the plastic. Wish it had some kind of sturdier material inside the head support part.
Easy and simple to clip in! Baby feels secure and comfortable. Not bulky and easy to pack in diaper bag. We really love it! However I will say that recently approaching 3 months old, it has become too much on my back and shoulders. Once he weighed 12lbs+ I noticed that my back would hurt even after a short walk. And I’m not particularly prone to back pain but also not a body builder either lol. Not sure who can keep a 12 month old in this. I’m purchasing another one with more support now, but if I could go back I would still buy this carrier even if only for the first few weeks/months due to how simple it is.
We have two baby horn carriers and this one our favorite! The material is soft and cozy but firm enough to support our baby’s spine. The design is intuitive and easy to adjust. It took us a second to figure out how to get it to the ideal position but once we got it feeling good we were set. The key is to pull the straps flush with your body. Even though there’s no waist support, weight distribution is comfortable so no undue pressure on the back. I like it because my husband and I have different waist sizes, especially post baby so is much easier to trade back and forth between us without as much effort to recalibrate the carrier.Would highly recommend!
Really good carrier that can adjust to adults size really well however my baby is 4 months old and I find that the top clips annoy my son if he’s awake and they’re not adjustable. I originally had an ergo carrier that didn’t fit me at all but this one fits perfect. Super comfy and lots of back support. I wish the bottom bit was a little wider to make it slightly more comfortable for my son to get his legs into the desired ‘m’ shape. I’m probably being a little too picky but I would definitely use this for my next child. Folds down super small. Easy to get on and off when you’re alone unlike other carriers.

Have been using this carrier for about 3 months, and while my son does feel very secure and safe in the carrier, i have to believe there are better options out there. I don’t find this one to provide much back support, my parents visited and both used it and after one try refused to use it again, because they also had back pain from it. My son is about 15 lbs now and I’m surprised this goes up to 26. Also, I just recently tried facing him outwards and the flap that should fold down under his chin keeps popping up, which for the price, is pretty frustrating. I will keep using this one for short walks, but wouldn’t recommend it to a friend.
