I like this iron. It is sleek, smooth, and makes great shapes. I'm not mindblown, but also have no complaints.Settings are clear. Heat is consistent with good recovery. The wrapped cord with the swivel is great. Not so clunky as a plastic coated cord. Smooth handling.The exterior gets hot hot. I like it, but theres a learning curve. The clip that closes the iron, l bump it with my thumb while styling. That's annoying. It keeps the plates from clamping the section without putting the tool down to move the clip. Part of the learning curve.

Babyliss is normally a great brand. They make the best flat iron....however, I wanted one that made beach waves. After months of looking at different ones, I decided on this one.Terrible. The temperature on the interior plates (much hotter) is not the same as the exterior. I had to turn it up much higher than normal. It still didn't create the beach waves. It kinked the haie where the interior plates connect and that's the only "wave" it created.If using as a flat iron, it works better than using it for beach waves but still not great.Quality (or lack there of) isn't worth the price.Save yourself some tome, money, and frustration. Pass on this one.I'm sending mine back in.

I love the durable, extra long swivel cord. I love the locking function that you can use to lock the plates even when it's hot. It heats up very quickly. I wanted to love this flat iron. Its aesthetically pleasing, has adjustable heat settings which is great for my fine hair and longer than any other flat iron I have ever owned.The downside is the lock latch. I got so frustrated with this product locking with every use. I shoved a piece of foam into the space where the lock is. My hair also got stuck in the plates, causing hair breakage and frequent static. I fee like I shouldnt have to come ip with work-arounds for a product that is almost $200.I tried to use this product for almost 1 year. This is after I tried another BaByliss flat iron for about 6 months. Sticking with Chi from here on out- saving my hair, patience and money.
I have had my eye on this product for quite some time. My stylist has a pair and I love the finish results when used on my hair. The irons are durable as my stylist and others in the beauty parlor have had this brand for quite a while. I love that the irons are corrosion and warp resistant. Many flat irons I’ve purchased previously have had this problem. The irons have surround heat where you have the option to straighten, wave, curl your hair. Kinda like a wand iron if need be. I love this model by Babyliss. It’s a great buy for its quality and durable as a flat iron.
It's the real deal. I ordered one in the past but it was cheap knockoff and I promptly returned. I decided to order again as it said sold by Walmart plus the discount on it was $50 so I had to jump on it. I'm glad I did. It's the real flat iron and I'm excited to use on my clients. Walmart may just give Amazon some serious competition where I'm concerned. If you are considering purchasing please do especially as it's SOLD AND SHIPPED BY WALMART. That's how you know it's authentic. I've added a picture of the 1 inch from Walmart and the 1.25 from be Amazon. Packaging alone let's me know it's real. When I opened it up it has the fabric cord, the finger glove and the manual.

I purchased this flat iron and I noticed immediately it did not maintain the highest temperature. It constantly kept dropping in temperature and I had to restart it. I have course thick curly hair and I can tell immediately when I had to do multiple passes that it wasn't hot. I could even touch the plates with my bare fingers without being burned! One day half way through my style my iron stopped heating up and hasn't even gotten warm since. I reached out to customer service regarding a replacement months ago and haven't heard back! I resubmitted my information today. I have had one of the older models of Babyliss irons for eight years and have had to switch back to that one! The titanium plates are of such great quality that when my old iron started looking a little worse for wear I got the prima to replace it. It is unfortunate that this has happened as Babyliss is one of my holy grail brands but I can't feel comfortable recommending such an expensive iron if it may break so quickly. I will update this review if I hear back from customer service but I cannot say that I am impressed with this new model.
BaByliss was recommended to me by my hair stylist as the brand to go with, and I'm not unhappy with it. I love the plate size as I have thickish and longish hair. It performs perfectly! It is a little heavier than my previous one by L'ange, but that will take just getting used to something different. My only complaint is the slider button where you can lock up the styler for storage (so it stays closed); it's in a place where the hand can, and does, frequently slide it during use, and this is very frustrating. Overall however I am very pleased with the styling iron and would definitely recommend it

I'm also have severe bilateral carpal tunnel, and can't risk having this fall on my neck or shoulder (yes, I've also done this a few times). I have wispy sideburns with a cowlick, and eventually purchased the Babyliss pro titanium mini 1/2" for the hard-to-straighten oddities.
