Babyliss Pro UV Dual Limited Edition Matte Black

After years of shaving with a Gillette twin blade Sensor and their disposals, I switched to this Babyliss Pro UV Dual in the Limited Edition matter black. It shaves as close if not closer than the twin blade shaver. It also doesn’t remove a thin layer of my facial skin and doesn’t irritate my face nor neck.I’m getting a baby smooth face and I’m shaving every other day now. If I go past 3 days then I must use a trimmer first followed by the Babyliss. When I clean it I brush the cutters out, run the cap under very hot water and blow dry the cap dry and I use a drop of Singer Sewing Machine Oil on each cutter and turn it on for about 16-20 seconds to spread the oil from end to end of each cutter and use a square of toilet paper to gently wipe any excess. I then plug it in to charge and replace the UV cap and let it be until my next shave.In hindsight I don’t think it’s absolutely necessary to shave with the dual version because the cutters are staggered in height and the lower cutter rarely touches my face. I believe the single cutter head version will be more than adequate for 99% of the users.The Babyliss Pro UV Shaver is the best shaver I’ve ever used. I’ve had Remington and Panasonic shavers and this is by far the best of these 3 shavers. I considered the Braun but it’s too expensive and I seriously doubt the additional costs are worth it. Most of the other shavers are primarily designed and engineered for the typical consumer user. The Babyliss Pro UV and the rest of the Babyliss products are intended for commercial use and as such they ought to outlast those consumer products. I highly recommend this Babyliss Pro UV Shaver. Here a final word/tip, get a shaver with the matte finish because it won’t show fingerprints and it feels nicer and the aesthetics are awesome!

Close and smooth shave.

I own a Braun 3 shaver, but borrowed a friend's Babylis Pro to shave this morning. No comparison. The Babylis is stable, and results in a real difference in time and a smooth, close shave. I was skeptical, but there is a big difference in shavers. Will ask for a Babylis for my birthday.

It’s “ok” it doesn’t get as close as they use to. Seems like after the pandemic their products are not the same idk if the company has changed hands or what but I’m slowly moving over to different brands as this brand just isn’t the same anymore I also have a brand new pair of clippers I haven’t been able to use because the motor isn’t any good and they never returned the emails about getting them fixed so I just moved over the whals

UVFOIL DOUBLE vs SINGLE REVIEW

For face shaving, the Double is absolutely the better of the two. In fact I see little use for the single foil. I've read reviews that the Double is awkward around the lips/nose area, but I have zero issues with clearance. You can tilt slightly to use the single foil surface as and where detail work is needed.The Double Foil chews right through the toughest stuble and due to the Double action, it is far more efficient and the resulting shave is substantially closer than the Single Foil shaver can produce. As far as closeness of the shave goes, the Double comes in an incredibly close second to a water-shaving cream hot lather shave - which no other shaving method can really beat.I do highly recommend the UVFOIL Double.
