To make sure you don't burn your pizza.Only grip, when going from duel heating to single, it should go to top first, not bottom heatingBut this is only a minor thingOverall i happy with purchase, Delivery was not to bad to W.A. Absolutely fantastic machine and so

Absolutely fantastic machine and so easy to use. I have made around 15 pizza's so far and the taste has been very consistent. I make my own base's from the recipe's that came in the small booklet. It was given to me as a gift from my son and just between you and me it is simply the best.

Baccarrat Pizza oven

i got the pizza oven as I had a friend who bought one and loved it. I absolutly love it and it cooks so quickly and gives you a nice crispy base. I love that it how you can change temperature on top and bottom if required and that pizzas cook in a few minutes so quick and easy. much faster than an oven.

Disappointing

Unfortunately this was not as good as I thought it would be. It burns the edges in certain places so I’d have to open it and turn it around. It says to put it up high but I found that burnt the top and didn’t cook the base. After a experimenting a few times I think I’ve worked out how to use it so they come out OK.

It’s ok

Performed ok, works as well as a hot oven and perforated steel tray, our previous technique, but without heating up the house. It does make a crispy base, it seems to depend on the density of the (prepurchased thin) base used, haven’t yet tried fresh dough. Let the edges slightly burn, it does taste a little wood fired, much more than the plain oven.Unfortunately one half of the pizza cooks from above, then it needs to be turned 180 degrees to get the second half brown, as the element protrudes only to the midpoint from the front, no further. I wondered what the little handles were for but they’re handy for turning the pizza mid cook. Also you need to keep the toppings low profile, the protruding element touches and burns otherwise. There is a scorch mark on the glass now, after half a dozen uses, from the element sitting close to it.Don’t damage the stone, Baccarat were unable to tell us how to replace the pizza stone and don’t seem to supply spares - someone stored the paddles (plastic handles) inside the pizza oven, and I didn’t think to check for contents before pre heating, my bad. Some scrubbing, a brûlée torch and a sander have largely done the trick now.

I made bread dough in bread machine, cut the dough into thirdswarmed the pizza oven on 2 topped the puzza with toppings, then cooked pizza on dual setting 3 for 3 minutes, when base is slightly crispy I turn the machine off because it still cooks, I have found this has been the best so far after making 3 failed pizzas turning setting to 5 which was extremely hot 🔥 base of pizza was black. You need to check constantly with the paddle bottoms of pizza so it does burn.You also need to have all your toppings ready to go, this will help with the base of the pizza cooking to fast.It's a good machine, better than shop bough pizza and cheaper.

Takes too much effort

Used this pizza oven twice so far.We had burn’t bases the first time and too much colour on the top of the pizza.The second time we made pizzas we lowered the temperature.The base was the right colour but the top still had too much colour.For future use we have decided that the element on the top shouldn’t be used until the pizza base is cooked.Do we like this pizza oven? No.Would we buy it again? No.

This isn’t a bad unit. It produces brilliant pizzas as long as you are on your toes. Cooking time is very quick so we must concentrate completely. The oven cooks more quickly on one side than the other. Therefore it needs to be opened & the pizza turned 180 degrees at approximately the 2 minute mark. Until we realised this our first pizzas came out burnt on one side. Shame! Appears to be a design fault. However, now that we have mastered this idiosyncrasy, assuming we are concentrating & not enjoying a sip of red, then a 4 rating is applicable because of the quality of pizzas produced.

We bought one for our daughter, she loved it and kept telling us how easy it was to use and how quickly it cooked her pizzas just how she and her family liked them.Based on her enthusiasm, we bought another one for ourselves.We agree with everything she said she liked about it, especially the easy view lid which enables you to check the the pizza as it is cooking, without opening the lid. Such a clever feature.
