This game is a high octane, accessible FPS - you can choose an easy difficulty if you want squishy enemies or a more hardcore mode for a bloody rollercoaster. The card deck mechanics matched with a genuinely helpful NPC system makes for a good time. The game is incredibly well optimised so it means I can play it on decent quality graphics while streaming on Twitch and have pc resources to spare. Plenty of replayability and a fun storyline too

If you plan to buy, having a full party of 4 you can play with every day will make your experience a lot better. I wouuld've rated the game higher, but I completely disagree with the developers' pricing tactics, and their greedy ass price points. This is the most expensive game I have purchased in years, including preorder of Cyberpunk. With that being said, the difficulty in this game is ridiculously imbalanced. Recruit is WAY too easy until about end of act 3, and then even so, it's not even that hard. So maybe you want to increase the difficulty to veteran? No. The difficulty spike from recruit to veteran is night and day. Don't care to get too much more into it, but after finishing recruit, I felt no desire to play through again.

This game has changed a lot since it came out for the better. I have it on Xbox and bought it for my steam deck and it runs great. The bots teammates work really well and you can solo the game on harder difficulties. This game has a lot of variety for a coop game and the card system adds a lot of replay-ability compared to other coop games which is refreshing and there’s cosmetics and weapon skins to unlock.

Mid game. And it definitely feels like nostalgic left 4 dead.Almost to a T.I’m not the biggest fan of the sensitivity when moving your character, it just feels weird. No story line just like L4D. No character background stories. Just get the mission done, travel here or save this person. Pretty basic. Other than that pretty fun. If you’re looking for a faster paced co op game, you’ll enjoy.
I played Left 4 Dead 1 & 2 and loved them. If you’ve played these games you will be able to pick up quick on gameplay. Story is set out similar as well cut scenes in between important mission progression. Weapons have been improved allowing you to modify them whenever you come across new attachments. Then you have to wait one at a time to access the box. This mechanic only slows down the rate of play. And once a lobby is closed you are sent back to base where you can talk to vendors and spend currencies you would already have access to in the pause menu. Another mechanic I believe inhibits the players ability to immediately select a new lobby. With all that said I highly recommend this game. Regardless if you’ve not played the Left 4 Dead series. It’s a fantastic FPS with PVE PVP and in depth customizations.
An exhilarating co-op shooter! Delivers intense zombie-slaying action, diverse characters, and fast-paced gameplay. Perfect for fans of cooperative survival games looking for a thrilling experience.
Back 4 Blood Standard Edition offers a thrilling and cooperative zombie shooter experience with a modern twist on the genre. Its emphasis on teamwork, customizable gameplay through the card system, and dynamic missions make it an engaging choice for fans of cooperative action games.
If you are a fan of the left 4 dead games then you will be a fan of this. Very similar to the l4d gameplay but modern with new characters, weapons, infected and they have introduced a card system to make every single time you play a different experience. Which I thought was a really cool twist as the game cant get repetitive that way! Youre able to play online and offline either way the attention to detail is amazing and the gameplay is challenging. This is a must have for any l4d or call of duty zombie fans.
Back 4 Blood is far from perfect, but it gets 5 stars from me because of it's solid gameplay. Another reason that sealed the 5 star rating was Best Buys beautiful Back 4 Blood Steel Book. So just to be clear, you get the original blue case with the game disc and the slip cover, plus the separate steel book case. The steel book case is a work of art front and back and it glows in the dark too. So cool and an awesome addition. I love it. Aside from that, ignore the backlash this game is getting from other game players or critics. The gameplay is solid and so are the graphics. Buy it with the steel book. So worth it!
The game was new & unopened. Would not play on my ps4.. I reinstalled it 3 times & then tossed it in the trash. Thanks anyways
