Until then, however, Backbone One for Android cannot be used for PS Remote Play pending this change by Sony.

The BackBone App ofiicial built softwate intergades many pkatform in an easy to use and navigator User insterface. Services like Apple Arcades games install on the iPhone, Xbox cloud gaming, PlayStation Remote Play, Nvidia G-Force service are available to use. The zero Lag from controller input since it connects directly to the USB-C port. No dongles needed. I love the feature to record 1080p video gameplay and screenshots to share on social media. i I highly recommend.

Its ikay,but it says 8t works on PlayStation remote,but it doesn't. Some games it says it would work it doesn't, my old Xbox 360 controller works better then this . Its feel comfortable to my large man hands . It doesn't feel cheap. The games it does work, work fine. There still not many android or other third party games that support thiss controller. Is it worth 99.00? No, probably 40.00 dollar. Even , Backbone app when log in is really buggy. I feel the app was just slap together, sloppy! Get a cheap Xbox 360 controller and a tablet, you probably be 0lay more games without any trouble. Backbone lies about all the different platforms it supports.
I'm docking a star because this did not work out of the box with my iPhone 15 Pro. I had to go through and connect it to an Android device first and launch the app. I believe this updates the firmware. But that is absolute nonsense for a product that is literally labeled as the 2nd generation that SUPPORTS the iPhone 15 series. I've read that this impacts a small number of units. But I literally just got this a few days ago.That rant aside, it works really well. It definitely has a Nintendo Switch joy-con feel to it especially with the analog stick placement. I do wish it had some grip to it. It does also have a USB-C passthrough for charging I believe, but I haven't had to use it yet. (iPhone 15 Pro battery is kinda awesome)I don't use a phone case, so I don't know how well it works with one. I've heard it can be hit or miss. I believe there are specific compatible cases you can get that work with this. I'd see the Backbone website for that.As a side note, if you're using a controller on your phone for the first time, try something like Minecraft first. I've noticed that some games require you go through their touch screen tutorial before you can even use a controller which is just silly. Minecraft doesn't. That's not the controller's fault and that might leave you with a false impression that it doesn't work.Overall, it's really cool. A bit expensive. But I think I'm gonna really enjoy having this the next time I have to sit and wait for car repairs. (It's inevitable...)
My son is a Freshman in college. As with most boys his age, he loves to play video games. It is a way for him to relax between his studies and his other activities. The Backbone Mobile Gaming Controller is a game changer when it comes to playing video games on his phone. He was able to quickly add the controller to his existing Android phone and immediately began playing video games. If you are looking for a controller to use with your phone, I would highly recommend this product. It is easy to set up, easy to use, and fits comfortably in his hands.
This thing is pretty cool, the concept is awesome, however, I couldn't find many games that it worked with it (that were good or at least cheap/free). I think I also unknowingly messed up by getting this black one instead of the white Playstation version, because it has issues when it comes to playing remotely from my PS4. Going to see if they let me trade it in and hope the other one is better. The adapters definitely seem like a great add-on too by the way, just a little difficult to change them due to strong magnets.
Only reason this isn't 5 star is the joystick, specifically the left one are kind of trashy and for 105 dollars, they should be much better.Other than the sticks I absolutely love this thing. I really thought it would be a once in a great while type of thing but I use it more often than not. It's simple, clean, and the buttons feel amazing. I do wish it had more. I don't use a turbo button that often but that wouldve been nice. Also a pair of remappable buttons would have also been nice, but honestly it's the one controller where I'm forgiving of it besides the Nintendo switch pro controller. I do feel like the price is steep (also like the Nintendo switch pro) but I somehow have no issue with it if it lasts and keeps doing a great job.
Picked this up during BF for $70. To sum it up, the backbone controller is like attaching Switch Joy Cons to your phone (with slightly larger joy sticks). The experience is great for almost any game that supports a controller. Emulation, SteamLink, Play Store and sideloaded games all work and with a direct USB-C connection there isnt any noticeable input lag. Works well with my Pixel 7 and slim bumper case. Only downside is the backbone doesnt support USB transfer through its secondary USB-C port. So no ability to add additional storage for a larger catalog of local games.
So the problem with most phone controllers was the inability to work with most phone cases other than very slim cases. This one finally fixed that. I have a bulky uag case on my 23 ultra and while I do have to use the controller without one of the magnetic clips, it still works. Buttons are responsive and feel nice to use. Easy to set up and use. I just wish they would include Bluetooth functionality as well for the 100 dollar price tag.
