We brought these boots for our son for Christmas, as he wanted a good pair of boots for work as a apprentice carpenter. They weren't as comfortable as he thought they were going to be, and after a few months wear, the sole cracked in several places which then resulted in wet feet/ not waterproof. We have emailed the company several times about the quality (or lack of) of these boots and never got a reply once. In fact the last email we sent got returned as server error. Awful customer service and total waste of money. He has now brought a pair of Mongrel boots and they are far superior to these.

First off, the sole to these are hard like cement.. secondly, the paint/glue to these was so poorly done it looks like a child made them. Then 2 months after buying them, every day I’d get to work and have to empty white small rocks in my shoes… it was the insides of my shoes deteriorating every day with use!3 months in the fabric cloth to cover the zipper has its stitches coming undone.Only had them for 3 months and I wish I never bought them.(First two photos are fresh out of the box, paint detail is sloppy!)

I really wanted these to be worth bragging about but…- the Velcro came away from the leather shoelace cover which now flaps around- a zipper pull broke off- the shoelaces have shredded quickly. Maybe they were supposed to be decorative.- the zipper lining (which seemed like a great waterproofing feature) fills with debris and jams the zipper- the steel toes aren’t sufficiently lined, they leave marks and bruises near my toe joint- the fit is narrower than other work boots I’ve tried/owned which I don’t mind for me but didn’t expect from my reading the website- I knew they weren’t part of this design but I’d love to have lacer speed hooks in place of the top eyelets. I get the idea I’m in the minority now but I prefer to use my boot laces over the zippers. My ... These are the worst work boots I have owned. They are comfortable, and look good but are not suitable for a working environment. I’m a builder and have been framing a house, so not particularly hard work on boots. Working on a framed floor, and concrete slab.I have had mine 6 weeks and the soles are falling apart. Chunks are coming off the tread, there are massive gouges and cuts through them. I can not see them lasting at all. It’s a shame, now I have broken them in they are comfortable, and they look good. The material the sole is made of just isn’t cut out for everyday wear.
When I needed waterproof safety boots, I trusted the advertisement video of pouring water on this product and bought it. I was walking on the lawn the morning of the first day of wearing it, and the dew made my shoes all wet and even my socks were wet. I had to work with my socks wet all day. I was even angry at the waterproofness that was worse than the K-Mart safety shoes I had worn before. On the second day, I had to work in the morning with my shoes all wet from the dew on the grass and my feet felt sore. When I saw a tag that said it was waterproof on the shoes, I believed it more, but it was a waste of money..
I work in retail/backdock and do lots of steps in a day. I needed some comfortable steel cap shoes to wear Daily, after reading reviews I thought those shoes would be a good choice. They look very good and the build quality is excellent. However the materials inside seem to be harder than I thought. after wearing them for a day my feet were very sore, I thought maybe I could return them, but the policy here is that you can't return shoes that you already wore. But since they are new shoes I thought I will give it a benefit of the doubt wear for another couple weeks. They became slightly better, it's ok to wear them for few hours however for the whole day and 5-days a week it's impossible, feet gets very tired, especially very sore around ankle, needs a few days to ... They became slightly better, it's ok to wear them for few hours however for the whole day and 5-days a week it's impossible, feet gets very tired, especially very sore around ankle, needs a few days to recover. So now I just put them aside and only use them when I desperately need fhem. Maybe these shoes are good but definitely not for everyone, you need to be careful selecting, maybe try first before wearing them on site and removing the tags.
I was worried from the get go about how light they were which ia great for work boots but with that, it's sacrificed durability and leather quality. I've only had my boots 3 weeks now and already the boots have cuts and wear and tear on them. I'm not sure these will last even 6 months. I've previously worn Oliver's, Blundstones, even Kmart brand. Although they all were heavier than the BAD signatures, the leather quality were much better. If you're an office worker who goes onto construction sites sometimes it might be great but as an everyday Work boot for someone who works in construction, these aren't the boots for you. Especially when they cost as much as other leading brands do, there are better options. Very disappointed with the product and not worth the money.
This is the second pair of boots I’ve purchased from Bad. I previously bought the Cyclones. They lasted me about 3 months before they were unwearable which isn’t much time even my Dewalt’s and Kmart boots lasted over 6 months. What I noticed with both boots is the seal around the mid foot cracks and splits from the shoe ridiculously fast (I’ve only had these signature boots for a month) Once this occurs your “water proof” boots are no longer waterproof. Even the slightest puddle will track in water or even a splash.Don’t get me wrong. Bad is a great brand and their shorts are second to none however I wouldn’t waste anymore of my money for boots that aren’t up to standard. Also if you step on a nail neither boot will save you. This is after 6+ months with a pair as my primary shoe for both work and outside work.Took awhile to break them in and the end of the shoe with the steel cap is a bit narrow so it rubs on your big toe pretty bad. The loop in at the back is in a silly position because it can't be used to pull the boot on, as it needs to be higher. The zip on one boot doesn't go down all the way anymore, and the glue between the tread and the boot isn't applied very well and when you're pulling the boot off etc you can see it come apart in places (this was evident pretty early on). They are pretty decently priced though, and a plus for the waterproofing. I'd probably buy them again when these ones die. Just wish they were slightly bigger in the steel cap for the size 12.
When my shoes first arrived the paint on the trimmings was so sloppy that my first thought were “a 5y/o child in China probably made these…” not to mention all the glue seeping out… (first pictures were fresh out of the box)First month of wearing them my heals would ache so I figured I’d just wear two pairs of socks till the break in… nope, they’re still like rocks. 2 months after buying them I thought me leaving me shoes on the front porch meant spiders were laying eggs in them because without a doubt, every day I’d get to work and have to empty white small rocks from my shoes… it was the insides of my shoes deteriorating every day with use. 3 months in the fabric cloth to cover the zipper has its stitches coming undone. And the worst part of it all, I kept telling myself that “oh I’ve had them for a year, that’s a good life pair of shoes!!” NOPE! I’ve only had them for 5/6months and they only lasted a total of 4. I only work 9 days a fortnight inside a clean shed. No water, no hard gravel. And they can’t even last this.. don’t bother, my only regret is that I threw out my last work boots as they we’re getting old and dirty… would rather have dirty old shoes than have to keep wearing there’s till June.
