Im a bricklayer, so these shoes dont get abused. The material is already falling apart and has holes in it, the sole is too thin and you can feel every stone underneath your foot and makes you feel as if you are walking very flat-footed, which wears the feet out. Laces snapped pretty quick as they were elasticated and the insoles that came with the shoe are just a cheap one-size-fit-all that was too big for the size 12s i ordered.Other than the zip which makes it a little easier to take on and off, these are one of the most uncomfortable and poor quality shoe ive ever used, unfortunately as I really wanted to like them.

3 months use... Extremely disappointed.

Uncomfortable and not remotely durable. Just general work, boots still look to be in good condition - (yes, they get dirty) but the sole of one boot has completely torn through, is thin where the tear is, as in, the sole is not "worn through" , it's just torn right along a thin part in the tread.Seeing as this would be classed as "general wear and tear", I'm not even able to claim under warranty, and buggered if I'm buying 4 pairs a year to get through...Will not ever buy this brand again.

Awesome boots

The lightest and most comfortable boots I’ve ever had in the past 17 years wearing steel cap boots for work every day. After a couple months the laces turn to **** however cannot fault the rest of the boot ! I have let themKnow about this issue a year ago but the laces still fall apart. I just get some extra laces when they wear out as they are the best boots ever !

Don't waste your money on these boots.

We brought these boots for our son for Christmas, as he wanted a good pair of boots for work as a apprentice carpenter. They weren't as comfortable as he thought they were going to be, and after a few months wear, the sole cracked in several places which then resulted in wet feet/ not waterproof. We have emailed the company several times about the quality (or lack of) of these boots and never got a reply once. In fact the last email we sent got returned as server error. Awful customer service and total waste of money. He has now brought a pair of Mongrel boots and they are far superior to these.

I chose these boots from the raving reviews, but very dissapointed.
23 November 2023

I was looking for work boots that were waterproof/resistant as I was sick of going home every day with wet socks. I was also looking for boots that are comfortable as I have problems with foot pain. I made my decision based on the raving reviews for comfort. I am very dissapointed with the comfort factor of these boots. I have been wearing them for 4 shifts now. Yesterday, my feet were aching 4 hours into my 12 hour shift, and I was on my feet all day, so I was in so much pain yesterday. This morning, my back is aching and I am putting it down to the boots. I do however, very highly rate the waterproof factor of these boots. It's been great coming home with dry feet!! But, I have decided I would rather go home with damp/wet socks every day over being in pain ... MoreI was looking for work boots that were waterproof/resistant as I was sick of going home every day with wet socks. These boots are going on the shelf, and I will be bringing my old boots out until I get new, more comfortable boots.

Look good, not made to last
1 December 2022

These are the worst work boots I have owned. They are comfortable, and look good but are not suitable for a working environment. I’m a builder and have been framing a house, so not particularly hard work on boots. Working on a framed floor, and concrete slab.I have had mine 6 weeks and the soles are falling apart. Chunks are coming off the tread, there are massive gouges and cuts through them. I can not see them lasting at all. It’s a shame, now I have broken them in they are comfortable, and they look good. The material the sole is made of just isn’t cut out for everyday wear.

Not comfortable

I work in retail/backdock and do lots of steps in a day. I needed some comfortable steel cap shoes to wear Daily, after reading reviews I thought those shoes would be a good choice. They look very good and the build quality is excellent. However the materials inside seem to be harder than I thought. after wearing them for a day my feet were very sore, I thought maybe I could return them, but the policy here is that you can't return shoes that you already wore. But since they are new shoes I thought I will give it a benefit of the doubt wear for another couple weeks. They became slightly better, it's ok to wear them for few hours however for the whole day and 5-days a week it's impossible, feet gets very tired, especially very sore around ankle, needs a few days to ... MoreI work in retail/backdock and do lots of steps in a day. So now I just put them aside and only use them when I desperately need fhem. Maybe these shoes are good but definitely not for everyone, you need to be careful selecting, maybe try first before wearing them on site and removing the tags.

Not what we expected for the price
22 September 2024

Boots are very narrow fit, the zip is pretty useless as there is a rubber section inside that makes it hard to get on/off (assuming for waterproofing). The soles are SO THIN that walking on rocky ground is painful, my daughter bought the $99 version of the gel boots and they are better on the sole than what I received. Very unhappy with my purchase. Unfortunately I wore them once so assume I can't return.

The worst quality boot
17 January 2023

When my shoes first arrived the paint on the trimmings was so sloppy that my first thought were “a 5y/o child in China probably made these…” not to mention all the glue seeping out… (first pictures were fresh out of the box)First month of wearing them my heals would ache so I figured I’d just wear two pairs of socks till the break in… nope, they’re still like rocks. 2 months after buying them I thought me leaving me shoes on the front porch meant spiders were laying eggs in them because without a doubt, every day I’d get to work and have to empty white small rocks from my shoes… it was the insides of my shoes deteriorating every day with use. 3 months in the fabric cloth to cover the zipper has its stitches coming undone. And the worst part of it all, I kept telling myself that “oh I’ve had them for a year, that’s a good life pair of shoes!!” NOPE! I’ve only had them for 5/6months and they only lasted a total of 4. I only work 9 days a fortnight inside a clean shed. No water, no hard gravel. And they can’t even last this.. don’t bother, my only regret is that I threw out my last work boots as they we’re getting old and dirty… would rather have dirty old shoes than have to keep wearing there’s till June.

Water proof? More like foot proof
1 August 2024

They are solid boots with great potential! My issues:The stretchy material (to make them water proof) in between the zipper opening is too tight to slip my foot in and out, so every time I need to take them off or put them on I have to tie/untie the lace’s.It just defeats the purpose of the zipper.NextThey aren’t the comfiest boots.I have worn them for 4 weeks now and I’ve only just got used to them.I have been buying Bad Workwear gear for over 3 years and it is fantastic stuff but unfortunately this is not.I do not recommend this style of their boots.
