Gives a tight grip. Unlike those using a line of interconnecting holes, these have a nice adjustment action without that annoying binding. Set size with release button, or just slide tight. Bought as a gift so I could ask for my own pair back!

First time I've bought Bahco plumbing pliers so, time will tell how good or bad they are. Very narrow jaws, this will definitely see the teeth wear out quicker than say a Channellock or Crescent set would. They're not really designed for heavy work like gripping steel pipes or large onions, more suited to nuts and 15mm and 22mm fittings, definitely not for 28mm stuff. I was surprised and disappointed to discover that the handles when closed can touch each other, that means they'll nip and injure your palms should you lose grip and slip off the workpiece. Not good. But, they're nicely made and handles are decent. The button mechanism is unique and takes a bit of time to get used to. Overall - I'd say they're not bad, but they're not a patch on a set of Knipex Cobra ... MoreFirst time I've bought Bahco plumbing pliers so, time will tell how good or bad they are. What a clever design! Performs the function of several different tools. I was introduced to this device when I found one in my yard a couple years ago. It's been so helpful over the years that I bought this one for my daughter's family as the one tool you keep in the kitchen drawer for quick access.
Whilst more expensive than many other slip joint pipe grips, the additional cost is justified by the excellent quick and easy to use adjustment mechanism. Depressing the lever on the handle allows the jaw to slide freely to a new position and once released locks firmly. The teeth into which this mechanism locks are spaced at 4mm which I believe provides a finer adjustment than conventional designs.
I bought a pair of these as the pin had fallen out on my traditional slip joint pliers and had seen a colleage using this pair of Bahco slipjoint pliers with ease. The best asset these pliers have is that they cannot slip to a different size once you have adjusted them which traditional slip joint pliers sometimes do. You can adjust them with just one hand and be confident enough to apply just as much operating pressure to them on a tight connection as you would a traditional set of slip joint pliers.I have only given three stars for reliability as I have only just purchased these, however given Bahco's prestige I'm sure they will last the test of time.
My last pair of these were working perfectly until lost /stiolen. Bought when my son was 1, he’s now doing his GCSES Used 14 years every day for every kind of job . Electrical , plumbing , mechanics.. favourite tool in the box next to makita and mole grips.. can’t live without them now.. Thin jaws allow retrieval of small infects from tiny spaces. One handed operationGetting another pair today. Pricey but worth it. Will last a lifetime, and never slip a notch a scissor your fingers like cheap wrenches
Bought to replace a set of slip joint pliers I misplaced. Brilliant tool that every good well stocked toolbox should have. A must have tool
Normal Bahco quality. Strong, tough, light weight. And works well.
Excellent tool, exceptional BACHO build quality. Easily adjusted to the required jaw-width without jumping the ratchet. Nice slender design, ideal for accessing confined areas (i.e. under sinks, around boilers, etc.) Worth every penny!
