Bakery Emulsions Natural & Artificial Flavor 4oz Coconut
This Lorann Coconut Baking & Flavouring Emulsion is a water based flavouring that is great for adding coconut flavours to your cakes, frostings cookies, fondants, fillings and more. Emulsions are formulated to be the same strength as an extract (1 teaspoon emulsion = 1 teaspoon extract), but instead of the flavor being diluted in alcohol, it is suspended in a water-base helping it not bake out. Emulsions are ideal for baking, shakes, beverages and frosting. Not recommended for flavouring chocolate, hard candy, gummies and popcorn. Oil based flavourings are more suitable for flavouring chocolate. Comes in a 4oz (118ml) bottle.

Buttery Vanilla is a good "blender" flavor. Not that great on it's own, but does an amazing job of mellowing out some of the other stronger flavors, like Pumpkin. If you combine it with the Almond flavor, you'lll get macaroons.

The coconut emulsion was good. It gave a good flavor without a lot of overpowering artificial taste. I may use it in the future. Still undecided.

I bought the Coconut oil a couple of days before Valentine's. I wanted to use it for making chocolate dipped strawberries. I realized as I was measuring out the oil, it had an experation date of two years. I am not sure if this particular bottle was an oversight on the stores shelf. I now check for the experation dates on all oils.
As soon as I opened it it smelled like coconut! I made pineapple cake pops with coconut flavored white chocolate. Then sprinkled it with sweetened coconut flakes! Basically pina colada cake pops!! Everyone loved the flavor combinations!!
Purchased this in hopes to add an extra touch to my Swiss meringue buttercream for a wedding carrot cake with a coconut filling, well it was horrible! Note- I added just a bit to start with but that was enough for my son and hubby to also agreed saying it tastes like medicine … so tossed the rest of the bottle away! Waste of $ and buttercream!
Michaels' is the only store in town to stock all the flavors of baking emulsions. No online ordering, no waiting and no shipping costs which makes their % off sale price very competitive.
Awesome! I used it to make some lip balm ! Coffee butter coconut butter and flavor and honey. Lips smackin'
These emulsions are a new thing for me. Have to say that I am really enjoying the flavors I have purchased. They are all good so far. Nice way to enhance flavors in my baking.
I used the coconut oil to make hard candy (sea glass candy) for beach wedding favors and had to throw it all out. I was very disapponted. It didnt taste like coconut at all and had a very strange taste. Maybe it would be ok for baking but not for hard candy. The pineapple flavor tasted fine tbough.
