The Balconi Troncetto cakes are imported from Italy, and they use better ingredients so they don't have the fake processed taste that American products do. The cake is chiffon -so soft. No wonder the store runs out of them so often!

Ten Balconi cake-bars for a pound is excellent value and wait til you taste them, they're delicious. They taste better than many similar cake-bars that are twice as expensive. Very soft, fresh-tasting and rich in chocolatey taste, they really are yummy, 5 stars.
These are wonderful. Excellent value for money, taste divine [they taste like they have an Italian wine in them but they don't], they are individually wrapped so they don't need to be eaten quickly, [but taste so nice they don't last long in our house], and they are a nice size. I would recommend these to everyone. Go on try them you wont be sorry.
These are flat little sponge cakes covered with a thin layer of chocolate. They're mild in flavour, individually wrapped and a nice wee treat for popping into a lunchbox alongside sandwiches and fruit. Worth a try at a pound for a box.
I used to have these every day at school as part of my lunch, I forgot what these tasted like until I saw them on the shelf. Honestly, they are still one of my favourite cake bars. They are so light and fluffy, and the chocolate filling is incredibly creamy. I love these.
We love these, and they are great for a snack or pudding or with ice cream or custard too. However, if you put them in to a freezer, they are transformed in to something even better. Try it. We were truly overjoyed with the result. So, so tasty, and they don't go solid - they are just very cold - and gorgeous! All of the Balconi cakes freeze excellently too.
I totally agree with the two previous reviews. And... have one with your cappuccino and the taste and smell of them will make you think you were back where they're made -- Italy.But tell me, Asda, what happened to the orange flavoured ones that I haven't seen since you first started selling Ballconi in autumn 2013? Pleeeese try and get them again!
