This chiminea was easy for me to put together because everything is clearly labeled, the directions are clear & in good English with drawings, & everthing fit properly together without requiring any modifications. All I needed were a phillips screwdriver & small crescent wrench.All the parts were packed carefully in the box. I had it shipped to my store & the box wasn't very heavy to carry.The feet are perfectly level with each other & the chiminea stands straight without wobbling. I like that it drafts so well that all the smoke goes straight up & doesn't blow or drift sideways into where people are sitting. I've had 3 fires in it & the fires burn extremely well. We bought this chiminea - a combination of steel and cast iron - because of its' affordable price and its appearance. Assembly, even by one person, was fairly easy. Instructions were easy to read, all parts were present, and they fit like they were supposed to. We use the chiminea indoors by the way, with fake logs and gelled alcohol as fuel. Instant ambience with a small amount of work and expense. The only initial drawback regarding indoor use was a smell that occurred when the painted cast iron portion of the chiminea heated up. This dissipated after using it twice. Real wood burning stoves often do the same thing.

A great product! arriving in good packaging, and right in use out of box. Cast iron upper body feels solid, fire bowl big enough easily fit 10 pounds 5-6 wood logs which can last quite a while. Sliding door good convenient to add logs...Careful though iron body gets really hot only after a while - accidentally touched it while opening the sliding door.

Good chimineaVery easy to assemble and the parts fit together accurately. It can really withstand any wind, and not blow out because of its awesome shape! I like the way it looks and craftsmanship. Great item!
It was easy enough to put together. It looks nice. We had one fire in it so far, worked great. It burns less wood than what we were using before. I used the to store free shipping option.

We've used the unit half a dozen times, are pleased with it and neighbors and family have offered favorable comments about it's appearance. I'm pleased with the value; good price for the quality though that may be skewed by it being on sale at about 35% off.Notes: 1. We're using sixteen to eighteen inch long wood to fit easily in the fire box without pushing up against the steel mesh walls. Stack it too high and flames will shoot out the chimney.
The description of "cast iron" is not really true! Only the upper cone is cast iron. The remainder is formed steel. I expect this product to burn out the lower fire box quickly. Hopefully not too soon. The grates to hold the logs are very light weight steel. Luckily I had kept the old cast ones from a prior unit. I used them instead. I am disappointed that this product was misrepresented. My trust in E Bay has been damaged!
My previous one lasted around 8 years. Every so often I'd wire brush it and paint it with heat resistant paint. But to be honest, I never took care of it as much as I should. It eventually rusted out on the bottom and fell apart. But that's because I never took the time to cover it after using or cleaning the ashes out as often as I should. And it still held up well. This new one is just as sturdy as the old. But I bought a cover this time. And I'm hoping to get at least 8 years or more out of this one.

This product completely rusted out only a few weeks after receiving and using twice; extreme safty hazard. Not worth $2. Complete piece of garbage and unsafe. Because I couldn't get the item back to Lowes they only issued $14 credit. Waste of $. Dissapointed Lowes would carry such a low quality and unsafe item for families.
