De'Longhi Ballerina Electric Kettle - 360° Swivel Base - Green, Black

We purchased it to match the De'Longhi four-slot toaster in Green. With both on display in the kitchen, the colours work together with our silver and grey colour scheme. Neighbours and friends cannot believe how classy they look in our kitchen, asking where they can buy one. By the way - they make great tea and toast at Breakfast

Beautiful Design

Kettles can look so uninspiring but this one is really gorgeous. I got it in 'black' which is really a lovely dark grey and fits perfectly in my monochrome kitchen. I love that it has a metal filter as plastic ones always go brittle and that the silver switch illuminates in white. It's quick and easy to fill with the right amount of water as the lid comes off and goes back on very easily eliminating the need for fiddling around trying to fill up through the spout. Altogether, beautiful and practical.

Pros: Nice looking kettle for the price.Cons: It looks very plastic which is okay for the price. It is heavier than expected though so appears solid. There is nowhere to see how full it is without taking the lid off and I seem to refill it more than my old one.

De'Longhi Ballerina Kettle

My old kettle had cost twice as much as this one and eventually needed replacing. This one is really stylish extremely easy to use and really quiet. I would not hesitate to recommend. I will certainly buy other De'Longhi products in future.

Disappointed

Very disappointed with this Kettle.1. The lid is very difficult to remove (2 hands are required to remove the lid, 1 hand on the Kettle handle to steady it and the other to pull the lid off) especially when wanting to refill this Kettle after boiling, drops of boiled water splash onto hands and could cause scalding. A hinged lid would be much safer for everyone especially if disabled.2. There is only a water measure internally showing "MAX" no guidance for how much to boil for 1 cup etc. Therefore too much water is boiled on many occasions especially when everyone is trying to use less water and energy.3. Placing the Kettle on to the Base to boil water is difficult as it doesn't connect first time each time and sometimes 2 hands are needed for balance.4. Lovely kettle but no window to see water level

This kettle and the matching toaster are a beautiful design .. but why isn't there a window in the kettle to show how much water is in it? This means you have to constantly take the lid on and off to check and to fill the kettle. All other kettles seem to have this feature, so not sure why it is missing on this model. Very disappointing.

Nice kettle

Bought in white along with the matching toaster. Very pleased - goes really well in our white and grey kitchen. No issues so far. The only slight drawback is you have to physically remove the lid completely (and either hold this or put it down) in order to fill the kettle up. Obviously a kettle where you press a hinge and the lid just flips up is a bit easier to use overall. Not a major issue and I knew this before buying - decided to go ahead anyway because of the style and look of this kettle which didn't disappoint.

Pros: Love the colour mine is white matching my toaster. Love the protective plastic coating easy to wipe over. Works really well. I do drink alot of tea. Lid easy to remove and replace.Cons: None really unless you come up with a cordless. But that would be difficult!!

Wondrous.

A wonderful kettle!I tolerated a less-expensive, noisy and continually-leaking kettle for one year until I could stand it no longer and bought this. What a contrast!It looks good, is quiet and powerful, boils quickly, is a total pleasure to use and the switch glows attractively when it's on the boil. This kettle enhances the kitchen.In a word, it's wondrous.

great product, it works very well.

the product woks great. i got the white one that looks very sleak. and heats water very fast. the only concern is that if its quite full and heating to max temp the kettle does end up shaking a bit. not in a bad way, it still works fine, but will watch it over time.
