It is a fun gunpla just needs a little panel lining to really make it pop, but all in all a great kit.
Good for beginners. A few design flaws that makes it unsteady. The body to skirt socket doesn't hold the ball joint well and it pops out with little effort. The ankle guards are a little flimsy and I feel that they should have 2 anchor points than just the one. Otherwise it is a nice complement to the RX-78-2 but not as superior to that model kit.
I love this kit. It fixes a lot of the flaws that the RX-78 has such as the unsightly gaps in the elbows and the fragile hips, and poses just as well as that one. The fact I'm able to get this model at mass retail alone is amazing, and I sincerely hope this means a long fruitful relationship between Bandai and Big W.
Excellent gift for 18-year-old cousin with special needs! He absolutely loved putting this together and it was a change from other building kits.
