Exceptional sound - the fact that it?s weather proof is phenomenal ! Great for camping and compact for traveling - this will be great to take with me on my future travels - perfect for listening to my audible books out on the beach in private - it absolutely has a great sound to it for other music, like rock or hip hop, as you can set your own specific settings and it has other ones that you can choose from to - it?s not too heavy, it has a strap attached to it that is sewn on to it and it comes with a hook, as an optional attachment, that can be taken on and off - i?m glad I came across this, I will probably purchase another one so I can pair them - I believe you can only pair two at a time anyways, so two will be perfect - Try It ! You won?t be disappointed !

My goal in acquiring a brace of these speakers -- in order to make a stereo pair -- was to allow me to listen to music while sitting in my garden. So far, I'm very pleased with the results; I've listened to some music (which, as various reviews have suggested, defaults to a somewhat bass-heavy roominess, but which can be tuned using the B&O app) and to parts of an Audible book. The final piece of the puzzle is getting Roon to recognize the Bluetooth connection as an audio output option so I can play everything I own over the B&Os; I'm awaiting the arrival of a Bluetooth dongle which, according to online lore, will let Roon 'discover' another option, and solve this problem. Fingers crossed. Overall, I'm very happy with this purchase -- they're very solid in feel, good to look at, and startlingly small. The colour match for the metal body, nylon straps and carabiner is remarkably accurate and gives a sense of attention to detail which I always find satisfying.

We originally purchased a Sonos One .... Omg what a nightmare to set up, hours and hours of trying to connect my music to it.... Gave up and took it back.... (Not everyone wants an app or to have to pay for streaming services). A great chap in JL Bristol (very knowledgeable and helpful) helped us choose this with demos of this, the Sonos Roam and a Bose. This sounds much better than we expected for such a small speaker... So easy to link and play either my music library from my iPad or iPhone or select a radio station.... It looks very cute too. Very pleased.. and this is why I go to JL - great service 😀

I bought this a month ago, and on several occasions, have considered returning it. For a speaker that is portable, water proof, and is between $150 and $200, there are many options. I went with this one as B & O have a reputation for being phenomenal. With this expectation in mind, the speaker falls short. Yes, the highs and vocals are outstanding, but there are very little mids and even less bass. If your looking for something to have by the pool, this will do just fine, but if expecting B&O Phenomenal, then you may want to pass on this one.
This speaker looks fantastic and I love the finish of the green. I like the strap and caribina which means it can be strapped to my backpack for a long hike. Would be ideal for bike rides too. There is an app that can be downloaded that gives you equaliser control which is a nice feature. The sound is clear and has good base and range for its size and its waterproof which means you dont have to worry about sudden downpours or the great british weather when using it out in the garden!

However, the B&O was sadly lacking in the bass department (for me at least) missing that satisfying thump I expected to accompany the songs I listened to. Perhaps it's unfair to expect this from something so small. The accompanying app requires an account to use it. Once you're in, you can change the sound presets. I personally found no benefit to doing this, and preferred the standard out the box sound profile. Other more useful features in the app, included battery %, pairing with other speakers, and firmware upgrade. Overall, I can't help but feel like the speaker is just too nice to live the rugged life it seems to have been built to endure - even though I'm sure its metal construction and waterproofing would see it through just fine. I can genuinely see the 360° sound as a benefit to outdoor listening. I'd like to have seen illuminated controls on the top though as they can be hard to distinguish in low light. I'd just about recommend this, and give 4* on balance, but if it were up to me, I'd probably forego the looks, and go for something a bit more powerful and bassy.

Beautiful design. Great brand name. And that is what persuaded me to buy it. Beautifully packaged and tactile. However, the sound quality was abysmal. I don't understand everyone's reviews stating that the sound quality was great. There is lack of depth and a lack of bass which leads to a very tinny sound. My husband, my son and I, all linked our Spotify accounts to the speaker and tried out a variety of music . To compare, we also swapped between this B&O speaker and a portable Marshall . The Marshall provided much richer sound. So disappointed as we really wanted a beautifully designed speaker . Design over quality sadly. Returning it after 15 mins of use.

It's a little irritating that I can't tell how much power is left in the speaker until it's running out (it bleeps to warn you) and I'm going to guess that that is a feature available in the app but that doesn't justify downloading it to me. It charges fast and lasts ages. It's easy to control from both my phone and the buttons on the speaker. The controls on the top could do with being backlit though. I only have the one so can't comment on how they work in multiples, but the idea of being able to use them like that is great. It is happy being played at a fairly decent volume, the sound is pretty good for a compact, portable speaker. Positioning it on a solid surface and within a few inches of a wall helps it produce a fuller sound, if a little 'boxy' in the lower mids. To be fair to it though, it copes well with a range of musical genres. Vocals and speech are clear and never particularly harsh. From what I've read, the sound settings can be changed in the app too but again, slightly annoying that I need to go to an app to change this. For general use on the move, it's brilliant.

If you do stand it on a surface, even though it fits in your hand, there is a good solid weight to it so doesn't feel like it will fall over. As for it's sound quality I really rate it. Its really small and compact but it does have a punch to it and high end is really crisp. Doesn't matter on the volume you play music on lyrics are always clear. You can also clearly tell the difference if you are playing a track in HIFI quality. For a small speaker it gives you an open surround sound. You can also connect it to another speaker so can get a even better sound by adding more. I'd say this is a compact yet great small speaker that will fill a room or is great for when you are outside, chilling. Much better than the other potable speakers I've had and would definitely recommend
