I searched for years to find a no toxic product that would clean the inside of an oven and the outside of stainless steel appliances. There was a buildup of yellow beads of baked on grease on my oven door that I tried for three years to get rid of. Then I saw an ad for Barkeepers Friend Soft Cleanser used on the inside of an oven door so I gave it a try. I applied it and let it sit for half an hour and the oil beads dissolved and wiped right off. This stuff smells HORRIFIC!! I used to clean my shower pan and it is my mistake for not fully putting on hazmat. I cannot get the smell off my hands or out of my bathroom. What a mistake. The smell is so offensive to me, I can't describe it. I am not bothered by cleaning or chemical smells... but this stuff smells like I put hard boiled eggs in industrial chemicals. I have washed my hands 10 times over and the smell is just as strong as it was when I finished clean. Do not let this stuff touch your hands. Don't bring it in your house. UGH!! Why did I ever let social media influence me to use this crap when comet works just fine and actually smells like cleaner and not this rot?

I think this is the best of the best of this family of scrubbing products. Yes the spray is nice but I think more is wasted. The powder of course works great too. The powder with a little water in a convenient squirt bottle seems to me the ultimate form. Shake well and it's convenient and effective after it sits a minute or two on a pot that looks like it's going to need industrial tools to get it clean. All of the application forms of this cleanser work very well. I just find sprays are nice but pricier, don't hold as much when the squirt bottle does the same thing and doesn't spatter. To each her own, just my take on it. I will add, if you need to clean a grill, the powder made into a thick paste does a heck of a job. Ok, this stuff is amazing. I came across it while watching a video from @cleanthatup answering cleaning questions and this was one of his top recommended products. I bought it and used it to clean my glass stovetop and I was amazed. I used it with a scrub daddy and the burned on mess came off so quick and easily without much effort. So I decided to read other reviews and one person mentioned how it got rid of their hard water stains on their faucets. So I gave it a go and WOW! 10 yr old hard water stains that I have been trying to remove just disappeared! I wish I had taken before and after pictures. This product is definitely going to be a staple in my house from now on.
This is the stinkiest stuff I’ve ever used. I bought to use to remove the stain from my old faucet after my new faucet was installed. There was an outline of my old faucet since the newer faucet was smaller. After reading the directions, I was afraid to use it near my new faucet. I should’ve done more research on this product…..can’t leave on more than one minute, can’t use on painted products, cast iron, etc., etc., etc. I thought I should use it on something to see how good it worked, so I cleaned my stainless steel sink basin with it. It did no better job than Ajax or Comet, plus both those products smell MUCH better. I doubt I will ever use the remainder of the bottle I purchased. Like I said, I should’ve done more research before purchasing.
Whenever our glass range top gets a little krunk we just pour this on, let it sit for a little bit, and then scrub all the grossness off. It makes our stainless steal pots and pans shine like new as well. Very minimal scrubbing required; it's like magic. After three years of normal use, our synthetic quartz countertops were stained. A particularly nasty stain was caused by a metal belt buckle scraping over the kitchen sink countertop while doing dishes. Nothing I tried removed it: vinegar, baking soda and water paste, baking soda and hydrogen peroxide paste, and even Weiman quartz cleaner. The manager of a cultured marble manufacturer suggested using the Bar Keepers Friend Soft Cleanser. I read the product description and it did not mention using on synthetic quartz. But I tried it on an out-of-the-way place in a bathroom. It removed the stain and didn't damage the countertop. So, I got bold and tried it on the kitchen sink. Helps clean the rust off of bathrooms tiles and metal due to hard water in our area. Used a metal brush to help brush it in. Took a few times. But after everything was super shiny and clean.Scent was medium strength not super strong like bleach or Lysol. Didn't Sting my eyes while cleaning either.Liquid could be a little thicker, it was a little too runny. Might try there powdered formula next time. But overall it did its job!
