I absolutely love this tinted moisturizer. I used to use foundation but during covid, switched to something much lighter and haven't looked back. You can see in my before and after pictures one layer of coverage, it evens out my redness and still allows my freckles to shine. The texture is like a moisturizer and it feels like a moisturizer on your face. I recently decided to test a few other things such as Saie Slip Tint (which has a similar texture but is too oily), Tower 28 Sunny Days (this is more like foundation which while beautiful, felt too heavy for me and ended up too dry hours later), and Ilia foundation tint (also like a foundation and beautiful, but doesn't sit well on my skin) and ultimately came running back to BareMinerals Complexion Rescue. I haven't tried the matte version but love their original line. I use 4.5 wheat and am medium light neutral leaning cool depending on the brand. I will say that this product leans heavily yellow on their yellow undertones shades and can be a little too pink on their pink undertones shade ranges.... Show more

Best tinted moisturizer for medium sheer coverage
I've been using this for a few years now and it's perfect for my dry skin, either on its own or over skincare and I've not had pilling issues with it except over one Vitamin C product in the past. This is glowy which can be toned down with a setting powder. It applies like a moisturizer and the shades can be forgiving as it's somewhat sheer. It evens out my skin without covering my freckles and is so smooth and light. I recently tried Saie Slip Tint, Ilia Serum Skin Tint, and Tower 28 Sunny Days and it felt so good coming back to this. Coverage is between Saie and T28. This doesn't stay tacky on the skin for me. This doesn't get dry throughout the day like some of the foundation tints. Saie has the closest texture to BM but unlike Saie, this actually dries down to a ... Just the best
I used to use this product for years but switched to Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer just to try something new. I wish I never did that! In the couple of months that I used the other product, my skin started breaking out more and my makeup didn’t look as great. I switched to another tiny red moisturizer from the same brand and that still didn’t do the trick. Healthy-looking skin depends on so many factors (diet, stress, hormones), of course, so I’m sure my skin thanked me for making a few other changes, but it also benefitted from switching back to this tinted moisturizer. It doesn’t even look like I am wearing any makeup! I get the coverage I need (just evening out my skin tone) without any evidence that I have something on my skin at all, which is exactly what ... My skin breaks out less, it doesn’t look greasy, and it feels great.I blend it into my skin with a beauty blender rather than using my fingers (that’s just my preference) and I don’t use a lot (a little goes a long way). I don’t use primer or setting spray, I just do my skincare routine, let that soak in, and then apply this product. It’s a great product to use for an everyday, natural makeup look. If that’s what you’re going for, this is it!... Show more

Like it so far
Truly, I've only worn this for one day. One of my coworkers looked really good, so I asked her what she was wearing and this product was all she was wearing at the time. I'd been needing an SPF, living in Florida.I tried it on at the store first. A lady was in there, talking with an associate, saying she loved it before, but that it had a formula change and now causes acne. I was hesitant in that moment to buy it, since my skin is currently in the best shape it's ever been, since changing up my skin care routine. 0 pimples in 4 months. So, I guess I'll update my review once I've worn it for a few weeks. So far, my only complaint is that it feels a bit oily and shiny, but my skin still looks good with it on.I got shade 1.5. Tinted moisturizer can be a little forgiving with shade matching. It's the only shade I tried and seemed to match well. I wear 1.5 in Ester Lauder's foundation, so that's why I immediately tried it with this product. Again, I'll update my review if I begin having break outs.... Show more

My new favorite tinted sunscreen!
Im a lightskin latina, my body gets tan during the summer but my face doesnt so i went with the color wheat and its perfect! I use the color cinnamon as a bronzer. It blends nicely on top. I also use cetaphil 50spf sunscreen for extra spf coverage and I noticed bare minerals tinted sunscreen looks better when i take my time to moisturize and let my other spf sink in my face (about 10 mins) before applying. I have combination skin but lately my skin has been on the dry side so if I dont moisturize enough, the bare minerals doesnt look nice. So I recomend waiting about 10 minutes to let your skin care and/or sunscreen to sink in before applying the tinted sunscreen :) I shake first then apply a dime size to my finger and dots on my face, then use the brush to blend ... It eventually sets in. I start off small then add more for coverage as needed so it blends more nicely. Doesnt leave my skin oily, lasts pretty much all day, leaves a nice glow, has not caused me to breakout or itritate my skin and im currently dealing with dermatitis around my nose so its a plus that im able to cover the redness for someone who doesnt wear foundation but wanted some light coverage. Does not feel heavy, very lightweight. Give it a try!... Show more

My one and only!
I'm not one to use regular liquid foundation - I find it too heavy for my personal style. (Years ago I did start with Bare Minerals Mineral Powder, which I love and I still keep some on hand when I want a little more of a finished look.) When I discovered Complexion Rescue around 15 plus years ago, I was forever committed to that particular product... so much more of a natural and casual look that I prefer. I do go back and forth between the mineral powder and the tinted moisturizer but the tinted moisturizer is my definite go to.I've always purchased the "Natural - 05", whether it was thru Bare Minerals directly, or (lately) thru Amazon. When it was time to order again, I was a bit concerned that I couldn't find that particular color formula. I researched the options thru Bare Minerals and decided on "Natural Pecan - 05" which seems pretty much the same to me and I'm happy with it. However, comparing the tubes of makeup, I see some marked differences from the old to the new. I don't think it matters but it does make me wonder if I was actually getting the real product through Amazon, or if there have just been labeling and/or formula changes in the recent past that I wasn't up to date on. Either way, I was happy before and I'm happy still. I love Bare Minerals and I.D. products and will continue to use them as long as you're around!Re: photos - old product on the left, new purchase on the right.... Show more

Not horrible, but...
This stuff feels great applying and working with. Its not watery or too thick. Dare I say it almost feels "whipped." It feels soft and has some staying power, but not a full work day power. I got this to wear without powder and that doesnt really work. My dry skin 55+ ladies, you need to massively moisturize. I worked with the Ulta supervisor woman on color matching. I have wildly discolored skin from years of never wearing sunscreen so its hard to match. However, this is truly awful. The color choices either didnt work for me or the woman wasnt honest with me. Im VERY hesitant about returning makeup because I know they destroy it and not even clean it up to use as a tester item. Pretty glow, but terrible shade range
I have very fair skin and bought this in the lightest shade, 'Opal.' Out of the tube, it looked a little dark, but I thought I might be able to get away with it. Unfortunately, even a small amount on the skin ended up making my face appear much darker and kind of orange. The product itself ads a nice glow and super light coverage - perhaps if you have darker skin, this might be ok. The other thing I noticed, however, is that it clung TERRIBLY to any slightly dry patches (and I don't have dry skin - my skin is usually quite balanced) and it pilled in certain areas (mainly around the nose, chin and temples) - no idea why this kept happening, I tried using a brush, sponge and fingertips and no application method helped. I tried, but just couldn't make it work for me.... Show more

Too drying for my sensitive skin
I was very excited to try this product when my presumed shade came back in stock after being out of stock for months. Unfortunately, after several weeks of wear, I don't think I will be repurchasing.First, the pros: Great colour match for my fair skin with pink undertones; airy, whipped texture that feels lovely on application; a very nice, dewy finish with light coverage that blurs minor imperfections and redness. But, then there are the cons: The product dries out my skin throughout the day (even though I always applied my daily moisturizer beforehand); it stings when I use it under my eyes; the application is tricky (applying with my fingers made for a patchy finish, but using a foundation brush made it streaky. The best application for me happens when I mix ... MoreI was very excited to try this product when my presumed shade came back in stock after being out of stock for months. It's a shame, as I was hoping it might help simplify my makeup routine on "no makeup-makeup" days.... Show more

When You're Ready for a More Natural, Healthy Look
I'm 33 and finally more confident in my natural skin. I've had rounds of acne and rosacea over the years and now have combination skin that sees a few breakouts during the year. I wanted something that would add some coverage but wasn't so thick and wouldn't cake by lunchtime. I love this product. It is my go-to foundation. It takes a few minutes for it to set into the skin (you'll see it on top as you apply it) but after it sets, it's a really nice natural, dewy finish. I've receive a lot of compliments about how fresh my skin looks. It is weightless and I don't find that it melts off or absorbs away during long work days. It is buildable to a degree - some days I wear one layer while others I may do two for a little more coverage, but it's never thick or cakey. I ...
