If we assume our skin gets darker in the summer, we can completely adjust its tone by mixing & matching with a BE in a different color shade (Light for example - the Light color on my skin is quite dark so I think if Buy a sample and mix it with Golden Fair color to get a color that matches your skin tone if it's dark :D)

I cannot believe Bare Minerals are describing this product as ‘new and improved’. This is nothing like the original formula AT ALL! ‘Performance Wear’ was for me the closest thing to the perfect foundation I have ever found. It was great coverage but felt like you weren’t wearing anything, like an extra layer of skin. Once the fluid set it did not budge or transfer and lasted perfectly from morning into evening. This new formula is completely different. It’s thicker, more of a cream, than a liquid foundation, maybe slightly fuller coverage than before but it just sits on top of your skin rather than melting into it. At first I thought it might be ok but as the day wore on it started wearing off in patches and by the evening it looked a cakey mess. Another problem was that it only has an SPF 20 which isn't great because of my fair complexion. I will continue to use the Complexion Rescue Tinted Moisturizer. I recommend that BareMinerals phases this foundation out quickly and put more effort into a high performance foundation.

I applied it without a primer just to see how well it looked by itself and what kind of coverage it provides. I found the formula difficult to blend, even with the Luxe performance brush that works great with my other liquid foundations. I tried applying it a second time, using a primer on my skin beforehand however it still looked the same. This foundation doesn't feel as lightweight on my skin as some of the other brands that I have and use frequently. I found it difficult to blend the product into my skin without it washing my complexion out or looking a little blotchy. For me, it's just a little too heavy and doesn't compliment my skin. The foundation also has a slightly strange scent which would not be a huge deal if it actually looked nice on me. The scent is probably due to it being a natural product so smell would not be a total deal breaker since I am a big fan of natural and vegan beauty products. I use liquid foundation several times a week and have a few that I truly love that look amazing on my skin so I was excited to have a new brand to try. Unfortunately this BareMinerals liquid foundation formula isn't one that I will continue to use.

This foundation is absolutely gorgeous especially when paired with the Luxe Performance Brush. I like to shake the bottle a few times then dispense 1 or 2 pumps on the back of my hand to warm and then dab it on little areas around my face. Next I take the Luxe Performance Brush and working in small areas begin to blend the foundation inward towards my nose. Sometimes a second application may be needed but a single will do just fine. I think this would also be a superb choice for anyone who enjoys the sun/outdoors but not the way it's treated your skin over time. If course it would suit those with flawless skin too.

So I've been wary of matte foundations that dry me out (like the fenty foundation that I had to throw out bc it made me look like a crusty toe). There is some flakiness on my jaw and near my mouth, but it was there before-- my skin is just too raw and sensitive for me to scrub it off like I usually would. I can go out in public and not have people fixate on my flakey skin like I'm a half-molted snake. And I've received so many compliments for how airbrushed I look! For color, I have light 27, which is perfect for my cool-toned Asian skin. I included a pic of swatches from other foundations I use. From top to bottom: Nars radiant in M2 Santa Fe, this in light 27, Tirtir red mask fit in 23N, & Huda fauxfilter stick in 220N Custard. As you can see, the other 3 are specifically meant to hydrate dry skin, so I was shocked about how similar the texture of this one was. I find it to be a better match than the orangey Nars & Huda, & the pink Tirtir. My sister literally gasped when she saw it melt into my skin. My Asian or yellow/olive undertone girlies out there, take note! Overall, this incredible matte foundation works for even the driest skin. Idk about the other shades, but I was so impressed to find a cool-toned match for my light olive Asian skin. Inclusivity is so important to me!!

So, understandably it is a bit challenging to find a foundation that can work on my skin. My T-zone, especially the nose area did not eat up the foundation, and no sebum was visible, I didn't even need the blotting paper that I usually use. My forehead and cheek areas (which are the driest parts of my skin) did not feel dehydrated, and my fine lines were blurred and no creasing around the mouth. My sister who had oily combination skin also tried my foundation and absolutely loved it as well. We have the same skin tone so it is easy for use the same shade. She is getting her own bottle soon and the Luxe Brush is the perfect complement to the foundation. My skin just looked and felt so much better than compared to when I use my other foundations. I would definitely recommend!
