All I'm going to say is that these hit my doorstep and a day later they were on my painting desk. They are amazing models to paint and will look good regardless of how simple or complex you make the paint scheme. I would recommend hitting any Catalyst Battletech plastics with a light degreaser and a warm bath in soapy water before painting. Some boxes tend to have a lot of mold release still on them while others seem to be fine. Either way, a quick wash can't hurt. Definitely would recommend.

Overall, it is a good lance. I like that Catalyst is not taking existing miniatures and re-packaging them as "special" lances. A lot of these miniatures have minor to significant differences compared to ones offered in other lances. Some differences I don't notice until I start to paint them and becomes a nice surprise.

The Kell Hounds Striker lance is awesome, including the first plastic sculpt of the Nightsky, a hatchet wielding medium mech to smash clanners who get too close. It also includes a leaping Crusader, which can be mounted on its base too. In addition a new sculpt for the Wolfhound and Griffin, the later of which was only available in the beginner box before. A great box, for a great price.
This package of four mechs is highlighted by the Nightsky, a unique medium mech with a well-designed hatchet arm and an eye-pleasing, strong profile. Also included are the Wolfhound, the Cataphract, and a jumping model for the Crusader - if you're building a force for Battletech, these are fairly easy units to find a place for, and all four designs are well-made and faithful to up-to-date art.
Outside of the Beginner box this is your way of acquiring a Griffin and it is an excellent value that gives you three additional, highly useful mechs in good poses and all of great quality. The jumping Crusader is a highlight, being able to swap it between two poses.
Nice quality miniatures ready to be primed and painted. No assembly required. And it is Battletech one of the most storied and beloved table top miniatures games in history.
CGL has continued to improve their minis with the recent mercenary lance packs. The poses are more dynamic, especially the running Griffin and jumping Crusader. The Crusader can also be posed standing on its base if you don't like the smoke plume from the jump jets, which is a welcome bit of customization. Overall, this a lance pack well worth getting, especially if you like the Kell Hounds or House Steiner.
I am so pleased with these models, and plan on ordering these again. Why you may ask? Not only to field even more (a company of mechs and counting) but the crusader has another option to the jump jet smoke, and I simply must have both because I'm greedy that way!
the CGL miniatures line continues to be high quality and is a really exciting way to expand your BT collections. the new mercenaries lines are great for lore-hounds like me.
