Excellent skates; comfortable fit. These skates were an upgrade from my previous skates. The fit and feel of the boot is amazing. I am on the ice 5-6 times a week between coaching and playing. I anticipated a long 'break-in' period and planned to wear them only while coaching until I got used to them. After two skates I am using them every time I am on the ice - and the boots are super comfortable. The blades have a solid grip.

Replaced my 2011 Bauer Vapor APX skates with the Vapor 3X Pro. I've skated in them 6 times now and the advancements that Bauer has made since 2011 are pretty amazing. The shape of the boot is more comfortable and stiffer. The moldable foam padding is great and very comfortable. I feel that I have a more powerful stride and that I am a faster skater. The guys that I skate with even commented that I was skating faster and they don't give out compliments easily. I am 67 years old in a few weeks and I skate twice a week. I feel that these skates have improved my game noticeably. Thanks to Bauer for all the research and innovation that they put into their skates !

I bought these skates for my son who plays travel hockey with typically 3 practices per week and several games on the weekend. Due to travel requirements I have multiple sets of runners in case he loses an edge. I wish these skates would come without runners and you choose your preferred runners from the 3 that are sold by Pure Hockey, as you cannot buy an additional set of the steel that comes with these skates. Other than that I think these are high quality skates. Also thank you to the Amherst, NY Pure Hockey Team - they always provide outstanding customer service!

The website was great!Customer service at store (whitby) and corporate level were fantastic!The fit was TIGHT!! The toe box has not much room in comparison to a vapor 3x which was the only thing I could find locally to try on and reassure the fit was right (sz 11 fit 1)Used them once was not sold wanted to return them, a skate tech from the Whitby store talked me through the issues I was having on the phone and advised that a set of super feet insoles would fix my problems. ( i have really flat feet hence the fit 1)I was HIGHLY skeptical. Went in had a set fit to the skates, re baked I have played 2 games since and WOW!!! night and day difference! very very happy with the skates! very happy with the fit and the performance! its incredible!More impressive then ... Bought these after having the Vapor x5.0 for 12+ years. Got fitted at my local Pure Hockey and found out that I have been skating in skates that were 1.5 sizes too big! Wild. These skates are amazing. Tons of stability; for me there was a slight learning curve - probably more so because I have been skating in the wrong size for a good portion of my life, but these are game changers. The glide, the comfort, the stability, everything. Once I get into my hockey stance I feel these skates come alive. If you’re on the fence - get these. Especially since they’re now on sale. I also think they look cooler than the Hyperlites and feel identical in stiffness. Hope to make these last for years. Couldn’t be happier.
We had vapor model (but not pro) and our son always asks to tie his skates tight. With this model he feels extra stability and right away saw the difference in his skating.If he was a beginner he wouldn't feel the difference between $200 pair and a $60 one, but he plays on a travel team and it's important for us to have a comfortable skates.Also, we noticed that the blade stays sharp longer and doesn't get "dented" at all. I know very little about hockey and equipment, but I feel that we didn't overpay, even though it's the most expensive pair of Youth skates from bauer.
If you’re reading this then I would assume you also pay too much money for hockey equipment. I cringe every time I buy the kids new skates. These were no different but I have to say my midget showed a noticeable increase in performance specifically because of these skates. There are plenty of other factors involved but simply put there was a noticeable increase in the overall ability. My kid wasn’t used to a skate that was this stiff but will never go back, coming from mid level Supremes. I wouldn’t recommend these for newer skaters due to the stiffness but with basic skating skills these will make transferring energy much easier and more quickly. Additionally the skate heat molded very well and broke in within a few weeks. Overall very happy with these skates.
I absolutely love these skates. I am a referee that would skate up to 4-6 hours a day at times, and my old skates would give me bad blisters all of the time. These skates were a bit more expensive than I thought, but I'm so happy I bought them. Super comfortable, Buy the super feet inserts with it too! My only minor issue at the moment (due to one of my feet being a bit longer than the other), is that I feel a slight pinch near my pinky toe. I plan to have that skate widened/stretched at the proshop.
Went to get my 25 year old super tacks sharpened when the Pure Hockey associate noticed the toe cap was cracked in half. I remembered the slap shot but never noticed the damage. Anyway, now time for new skates which was scary because my old skates were so well broken in. The folks at Pure Hockey fit me up well with the Vapor 3x Pro. Modern skates are stiffer so the break in was a little different but the overall fit was good right off the bat. The thing I've noticed most though is how much better my stride produces speed. I always thought that was just marketing but its true, the design of the skate seems to transfer power better to the ice. At my age I will take any advantage I can get.

I have to say out of the box a pretty great fit. I will say I do need to bake them and I believe it will then become a perfect fit. I will say that once on the ice with them I fell more confident, now I'm no Martin Nečas with my skating ability. I feel I've found my skate for the next few years in my beer leagues.
