I’m 54 and recently had a silly accident at home sliding in a dog toy and snapping my MCL with a grade 3 tear. After being unsuccessfully fitted at the physio twice with a very uncomfortable hinged brace I decided to look online and came across great reviews for your braces. This brace has been wonderful for my safe mobility in a house with three large dogs. Comfortable to wear all day with only minor adjustments needed for comfort due to some large veins on my inner calf. I wear a padded bit under the bottom of the brace and stays in place beautifully and no pressure on the veins. I find due to non muscular thighs the top rolls down a bit but this doesn’t really affect comfort too much. I just completed a deer and elk hunt in the Medicine Bow National Forest. Although I did not fill my tags, this product gave me confidence to hunt with vigor for seventeen days. Not only did the GenuTrain Knee Support keep my knee in line, there was a noticeable difference in how my hip felt.The construction of the brace, including the breathable stretch fabric, never became uncomfortable under challenging conditions.
its the best in all aspects.I've wasted $$ on others Im a Carpenter 27 years building houses prior to that 7 years military parachuting hitting the ground like a sack of potatoes then running around like a loaded pack mule it all caught up to me with my knee complaining the loudest . PT at the VA has helped a little but the brace has done the most good. thanks to it now when I see really old men walking limp free Im not as jealous. oh! one other thing when Im wearing it I'm not even conscious of it ( its that comfortable). when Im not wearing it the knee quickly makes me conscious of that.

Bought a different one from sport chain store, but returned it the day after. The issue was that the knee brace was slipping down my leg, making it very uncomfortable to wear.Decided to spend the "big bucks" on Bauerfeind and I have no regrets. I injured my knee while carrying something heavy upstairs. Afterwards, even the slightest load while bending my knee was painful. This knee brace stabilized my knee very well, and gave me confidence to walk without pain. The improvement to the pain was noticeable in just one day. I was able to stop using this brace in 5 days and the pain is completely gone. I believe this knee brace not only hastened the healing but, also prevented further damage that long-term inflammation could have caused otherwise.
I've torn my meniscus while training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu 6 months ago - I am now 3 months post meniscus tear repair surgery... I was and still am very nervous about returning to full-on training. After intensive online research it was clear to me to order a knee brace from Bauerfeind. I ordered my first brace a few weeks ago for my injured knee. I need to say I'm positively surprised, my knee feels well supported while training. The brace mostly stays in place and is quite comfortable (as far as a knee brace can be). Eventhough I haven't done any grappling and sparring so far, I believe buying a second brace for my "better" knee was a good choice to prevent future injuries.
I have previously used the Genutrain 10 years ago for an advanced knee sprain. The brace was invaluable for me as I recovered independently from the injury (my insurance had run out).10 years later a similar injury (quadricep tendon rupture) occured to my other knee and am now receiving proper PT. This brace has improved retention due to the Velcro straps which help keep the brace in place all day (the Genutrain was prone to sliding after it has worn down from use).Definitely recommend this product and all bauerfiend products to others
