I’m 73 and still have acne. I’ve used this moisturizer for years and it is the only one that has ever worked for me. It was out of stock for quite a while so I tried other brands without oil which irritated my skin. I was thrilled when it came back in stock. However the formula has dramatically changed. It doesn’t moisturize as well and my skin feels a irritated. All I can say is that it’s better than the alternatives. I would be so happy if the previous formula could be brought back.

Nothing to say that others haven't -- but, WHY, Juice Beauty, why aren't you addressing this terrible lapse in judgement? Customers are extremely unhappy with the new formula and there's been no indication of JB doing anything to address it. To whom is this product "new and improved?" Because it doesn't seem "improved" to anybody that's actually buying it. I received a sample of the original formula and LOVED it. I have combination skin and have always had issues finding a good moisturizer. This one was light and easy to apply evenly. A little bit went a loooong way too. My makeup blended so much better than with any other one I’ve ever tried, and my cheeks didn’t dry out at all like with every other one I’ve tried. So the old formula was perfect! When I got my new order [it used to take me a while to go through a whole bottle of the old formula so I hadn’t ordered it in a while] and it smelled completely different and felt oily and heavy on my skin. I hate this new formula and I really need you to bring back the old one!! My face has even been red on my cheeks and I have broken out now more than before. There was nothing wrong with the old formula so I’m not sure why you would change a great product!!! Please please please bring back the old moisturizer!

Honestly I am so happy with this moisturizer. The price point is incredible for how long the tube will last because of its thickness. It isn’t the most luxurious texture but I just apply it with wet hands to make it apply well and it doesn’t feel thick or heavy on my skin at all- just fresh and matte! I honestly love the aloe-like texture of it, it doubles as eyebrow gel...for real it works perfect. And my skin has been so much better than with any other product!! I eased into using it because it did feel potent at first and now after a few weeks of using it twice a day my skin texture has improved so much and I haven’t had any blemishes. I loveeed this product and have been using it for years. Since April 2020 I noticed the consistency and smell changed, I thought maybe it was a bad batch but when I bought another bottle, and my sister gifted me one (literally its the only product I use) both of those bottles were thicker and smelly as well. I gave up on the product and had some trial and errors with new natural products, but recently decided to give it a go again, sure enough this bottle is also thicker with an odd smell. Has anyone else noticed this? I used to be able to spread a dime size amount and cover my face and then some but now it is just thick with a yellow tinge and weird smell. So sad.

I might buy this again...

That version of the moisturizer leaves a very slight whitish cast on the face, although if you put on foundation afterwards, you don't see it. I just didn't want to deal with that anymore so I did a little research on an alternative. Generally I would say that this was a good choice for me personally.The major problem I have with this moisturizer is that has a terrible smell. I'm not usually one to really care about smells either way; somethings I can tolerate, somethings I just don't like. This is one of those things I don't like although I will tolerate this because I do like this formula so I'll deal with it. Oddly enough, the version with the SPF 30 did not have the smell. So if I have to choose between a weird smell which dissipates fairly quickly or a whitish cast which still lingers a little longer I'll take the smell.The other thing I did like about this moisturizer is that it does not leave a sticky feel. The other version does leave a sticky feel afterwards. So generally I would recommend this moisturizer. I might have given it five stars but I haven't been using it very long so that's why I only give it four. I'm giving it the benefit of the doubt.

Really good for winter

I particularly like using this in the winter when my skin gets drier. It's a bit heftier than other moisturizers (like Kheil's) without being oily.This SPF version does have a tiny bit more white tint and a sunscreen smell. I personally like that cause it transports me to summer in the middle of January.

Returned after one use

I decided to purchase this product after having it recommended by an Ulta employee. I have oily, acne prone skin. This moisturizer did not absorb well into my skin and felt like it sat on top of my skin. It made my skin feel like it couldn't breathe and was uncomfortable. Didn't even want to give it a second try and returned it right away. I'll never buy or recommend this product to anyone.

Wonderful for my acne and temperamental skin!

I've been using this moisturizer with the blemish serum for a week now and my skin really likes it! I have very sensitive combination skin (on the oily side right now because of summer) that is acne- and texture-prone. My skin is annoying because I'm too oily and sensitive for most regular lotions, but if I do a really light lotion, my texture and dryness come out and I feel like a dried up creek bed.Like other reviews have said, this moisturizer feels a bit thick when applying, but I don't mind that. It makes sense when considering Juice Beauty's first ingredient on all products is juice, not water, so it's healthier for the skin but also isn't as slippy as other lotions. I find it's best applied by putting some on the back of your hand (don't need a lot) and then smoothing it in 3 sections: left side, right side, forehead. It feels weird and kinda waxy at first but then it sinks in after awhile and you don't even feel like you have anything on. This is the first consistent day lotion I've found that doesn't break me out, keeps my oil at bay, and protects my dryness and sensitive areas. And it's all natural! Definitely a win.
