Beats Solo 4 On-Ear Wireless Headphones

These Beats by Dre are really awesome. I like the cloud pink color and the ear pieces are incredibly soft and comfortable. My favorite thing is that they stay on very well at the gym. For context, I like to lift weights, use the treadmill and do stretching exercises and not once did they slip off on me. Setting up the initial connection was a breeze and they always usually (99% of the time) paired with my phone without issue. The battery life is great and the sound quality is superior. My hair did catch only one time on the sliding part so be mindful of that if you have long hair like I do. The on/off button is slightly hard to find without looking but after a few uses I got the hang of it. Overall, I really enjoy these headphones and do recommend them.

These Beats Solo 4 are amazing! My daughter has been using them to practice her dance recital without having to blast the music in the entire house. The battery has lasted us for days now without having to charge! They are super soft when positioned on the ears. The quality of the volume is perfectly crisp. These Beats are super compact and fit easily into the case provided. The color is beautiful. Only down side is that if your hair is down and you’re taking them off, you’ll probably rip a good few strands of hair out with it. I recommending wearing them only with your hair up. Overall an amazing product that we have been loving!!

Excellent for music and work

Bought these as my other half has a pair and I was impressed at the noise cancellation - I work from home most of the time but occasionally need to work from the office and when I do, I cant concentrate with all the talking going on around me so needed some noise cancellation to help me focus. These are excellent at doing that, but there are additional pros I wasn't expecting; they're super comfortable (usually I get headaches or earache from headphones so usually opt for in-ear Earphones instead), I can wear them for hours with no pain or discomfort. The sound quality is excellent and when in a surround-sound setting, such as playing games, it makes it a really immersive experience. I can also connect them to two devices at once, which means I can listen to music ... MoreBought these as my other half has a pair and I was impressed at the noise cancellation - I work from home most of the time but occasionally need to work from the office and when I do, I cant concentrate with all the talking going on around me so needed some noise cancellation to help me focus. The sound quality is excellent and when in a surround-sound setting, such as playing games, it makes it a really immersive experience. I can also connect them to two devices at once, which means I can listen to music from my phone and also answer Teams calls from my work laptop, all without having to disconnect from one device and to the other. They also look great and fold away into a neat case to keep them safe. The battery life is really good too - I've used them every day since receiving them about a week ago and haven't had to charge them yet. I also like that they have a 'Find My Device' feature so if you set them up on the Beats app and you lose them they will show on a map. My only gripe with them is that when I have my hair down, I sometimes get my hair caught in the little lip on the bits that cover your ears, but I have managed to reduce the risk of that by pushing my hair back. With all the pros that's not a huge issue. I love them and would recommend them!

First impressions

Just arrived via Best Buy same day roadie delivery service. No complaints- tracking made it easy to open the door when the driver arrived. I already have solo 3s and bose quiet comfort. The only bad thing so far is they are tighter on head than the solo 3s. Maybe they’ll break-in. Not a major hit but youve bern warned. The slate blue isn’t vibrant as some pics suggest. It’s muted, flat and matte. You better have the usb-c adapter or you’re not charging these out of the box. Sound is MUCH louder than the solo3. Like two full clicks louder. I often listen to the solo3 on full volume and these i’d say 20% more volume capacity. Spatial audio is nice overall sound is far more accurate and pleasing than the solo3. You get a gray charging cord so its easy to find in the ... MoreJust arrived via Best Buy same day roadie delivery service. You get a gray charging cord so its easy to find in the drawer. The 5 button power lights have been replaced with a single light. I don’t see a L-R stamp for the speakers. Arrived with 60% battery and it fully charged in less than one hour. Better case than the solo3, nice clamshell type box and two stickers instead of just one. The headband feels slightly thinner than the solo3. If these loosen up a tad they are worth 5 stars. I can wear the solo 3s 4 hours before they stick to my ears. Summary: louder, better and evolved. Hopefully the headclamp gets toned down with time. Seamless pairing with iphone 12 pro max.

Get these only for your basic needs

They don’t have active noise cancellation. They don’t have transparency mode. If you need those, get the Beats Studio Pros. I have the Solo 4s and the Pros. I use Pro at home only. The Pros are over-ear and they’re heavier. The Solo 4s are great if you just need to throw on a pair of earphones and go somewhere. They’re lightweight so you don’t feel them as much as the Pros. If you’re playing something at above 50% volume, the sound will leak out and others will be able to hear it if you’re in a quiet environment. They sound nice, but definitely not as bass heavy as the Solo 3s. If that matters to you a lot, don’t get these. Great battery life, and they look nice. Great headphones for the price

The beats solo 4 headphones are great for the price. The sound quality is much improved compared to the last generation with the addition of spatial audio, and the battery life has been relatively improved, which can last through at least a week through regular usage. The bass can be a little bit heavier in my opinion but that’s the only thing that I believe could be refined or improved in my opinion. Sadly, they are not noice cancelling, nor do they have transparency mode, but they do provide enough blockage to make up for the lost of not having the ANC feature. FYI, if you are an audiophile, I think looking at the competition would be a great option to see what suits you best, as these headphones do not offer the best sound quality on the market, and there are ... MoreThe beats solo 4 headphones are great for the price. Not Worth 200

I already own the Airpods Pro 2nd Gen - I got these because I prefer over ear instead of in-ear. I have no idea how this is worth 200+ compared to the pro's. I had max volume on the headphones and my phone - sounded so low you could barely hear it. The quality is awful too - nothing about this screams quality. The color is not true pink, it's close to a gray/white.The buttons feel wonky and cheap and the mic for calls sounds like complete trash. You can hear all background noise not including that the phone call was super low even at max volume. Since Apple bought Beats they have not been the same.

Not as good as the Solo 3 for bass performance

If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. This is what they should have left alone. The sound on the Solo 3 was perfect especially for gym use. Not sure why they needed to change things so much but the bass is quite subdued, as if it cuts off completely at 60 hz.Can’t say they improved midrange or treble clarity as the trade off either.Worst part is there is no beats app for EQ adjustment.Build quality is nice, battery life is probably as advertised as the previous ones lasted forever. But the sound signature sucks for what I listen to at the gym (primarily bass-heavy edm type stuff) so I’m hoping I can return these and have to stick with my big Beats Pro sweat buckets… which also have a lack of bass impact for their size. Come on beats - get it right or get out of the ... MoreIf it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. This is what they should have left alone. The sound on the Solo 3 was perfect especially for gym use. The worst purchase i've ever made.

I got these for my birthday just a week ago and i hate them. I was so excited when i got them, they were cute but they have so many flaws. Whenever i take off the headphones it gets stuck in that stupid little ditch in between where my ears are and the volume button. It pulled out so much of my hair, but thats not it. The headphones were small so it was hard to wear them at all, but wait, thats. not. IT!!! Today i turned on my headphones and it was not working on the right side. No matter what i tried, tutorials, or try to fix myself, it did not work. People from 6 years ago had the same problem! They just wont work, you cant fix them. So expensive but at what cost? My old Soundcore headphones were better smh.

Where's the bass??!!!

I should have listened to the bad reviews. Back story, I have the first Gen Beats Solos, and though they still work perfectly fine, they look a little beat up (scratched up a little and the paint job in some areas is a little faded/smudged from me cleaning them over the years, and i recently had to replace the ear cushions due to them starting to peel). Because of this, I wanted to get a new pair of ones so I can keep my 1st Gen as a backup. I fell in love with the new slate blue color they came out with for these Beats Solo 4, so naturally, I ordered them with a drive up order. When I got home and tested them out, I was very dissapointed. I'll start off by saying, I do like the black case they come in, I hated the one my 1st gen came in (it felt very thin and flimsy), but. . . The sound quality is crap on these Solo 4s! I personally love a good bass (no complaints with my 1st gen. Beats there, the base is great on those), with these new ones, the bass is non existent. These 4th Gen Beats Solos lack the warmth/richness of previous versions and that is a complete deal breaker for me. Going to return them this weekend and take a look at other brands. Beats has definitely gone down in quality. If you're into mediocre sound quality, go for it! But if you aren't. . . Buyer beware!
