I got this cream during a big haul of new stash of korean skincare and have been using it already for a month. Packaging: has a very lux feeling, the jar inside the box is wrapped in a sheet of a rice paper and also there is a little plastic spoon for picking up cream. Promises: The Beauty of Joseon Dynasty Cream is a brightening antiaging cream made with natural hanbang (traditional Korean herbal medicine) ingredients for a healthier complexion. At first I was thinking that I am supposed to wait for some miracle from it, but then I understood it is just a good working horse cream. Probably it would even fit better for more of 40+ skin, because the reviews of women of 45-50+ were much more promising than the younger ones. It is brightening so supposed to make your pigment spots lighter - that I did not notice. However cream by itself - is great - it's plenty hydrating, I never got any allergy from it, none of the bad feelings, itchiness or something like this. Skin feels plump, nourished and soft.

A possible new fave?

It smelt fragrant at first, which I dislike in skincare.I began using this by mixing it with my other moisturiser. They worked well together as they are similar in texture.It does pill with other products, even with the boj rice spf which was a shocker. However. Beautiful texture, somewhat disappointing effects

The packaging is beautiful and high quality, and even comes with a little plastic spoon for scooping the cream. The cream itself is a very nice texture, similar to a thick creamy gel. It has no scent, doesn't cause irritation on my sensitive skin. But that's where the benefits end for me. I only use this at night, but I notice that shortly after application, a very thin greasy layer of cream forms and just sits there on top of the skin without fully absorbing. Would be completely unusable during the day for this reason. I also haven't noticed any significant improvement in my skin texture or hydration. It does an okay job, but nothing spectacular. Cosmetically elegant! Effective! Versatile!

I've been meaning to try the Dynasty cream since 2015 and I finally got around to ordering it. Omg, it really is great. It glides on the skin like a dream, sinks in well, and you only need a tiny pea size. No scent, no stinging. I can put it on my eyelids without issues. Soothing, hydrating. Lovely finish (slightly dewy). Great ingredients! What can I say, it's a winner! I'd recommend it to all ages, genders, and all skin types. I like the minimalistic packaging too; quality frosted glass jar, nice lid, long narrow spatula. Zero complaints.

Good moisturiser, not sure if much else

This is a decent moisturiser. Great at hydrating the skin and supporting the skin barrier. The packaging is lovely and gives it a bit of a wow factor, so that’s another plus. As for the purported skin-brightening and (mild) anti-aging benefits, I’m not sure. I think this is the kind of product that requires long term use to make a difference. So with patience, it might cause visible improvements. I just haven’t seen any yet. The results might come too slowly for some people, in which case you’re better off buying someone else. However, this is not a bad product to try out.

Great for Summer, not so good for winter

this is a very light mositurizer. i think it suits well for people with oily skin or its great for the summer/spring months. i have really dry skin in the winter and found that this doesnt provide me with enough moisture and i have to keep reapplying throughout the day. however i think this would be great for summer months as it is not heavy. i love how lightweight it is and doesnt feel like heavy at all. for the winter i paired it with a retinol and found it worked a lottt better!! overall great product, by itself in the winter just didnt suit my needs!

Miracle Cream

This soothes my angry red and bumpy skin. It may sound crazy, but just in a week, not using this product every single day, I’ve noticed big results that I don’t get from the other products I’ve been using. My skin feels hydrated. So hydrated in fact, I can even wash my face and still be a little hydrated without becoming raw, like regular drug store moisturizers. The moisture is so intense and soothing that you don’t have to use a lot. And if you want to use it even more sparingly, no worries, just add more water or apply to a wet/damp face. Let me tell you, this works wonders. In the past throughout my skincare journey, I’ve applied drugstore moisturizers that have burned and inflamed my skin. Really good occlusive cream

The quality is great! This cream is very moisturizing, so I believe anyone with dry skin would appreciate its dense formula. Because it is rather heavy, however, I wouldn't recommend this as a daily cream for anyone who doesn't have super dry skin. It's great for layering, but wasn't ideal for my dehydrated skin alone. The thick texture feels like it sits on top of my skin rather than moisturizing from within. If I don't use retinols or acids, I think this cream alone breaks me out because of its heaviness. Try a lighter gel cream or hydrating serum and then layer this lightly on top. If you get dry patches or peel a lot, I can see this being amazing for you.

a lovely cream

this cream truly is lovely. the texture is light and spreads easily. it's not a thick cream, but similar to a gel cream that is more on the cream than gel side if that makes sense. it absorbs nicely and I didn't find it to pill.it does brighten and give a glow to the skin. unfortunately due to the niacinamide it causes slight break outs on my skin. if it weren't for that I'd repurchase it in a heartbeat. I would say it's one of the best Korean creams I've tried this far. also the glass jar is lovely looking and feels substantial. if you want a cream that hydrates well without the heavy feeling, and brightens the skin then give this a go if you are not prone to breaking out due to either natural extracts or niacinamide. my skin is normal to dry for reference.
