This was my first time trying out a cleansing balm and I got this cause I thought my cleanser wasn't doing enough for me. The product includes a little spatula thing in the top lid and it was more convenient than I thought.So what surprised me was that it wasn't oily especially when I tried to rinse it off my hand. I have baby sensitive skin with an oily t-zone.So I rarely wear full face makeup, save for when I go to work, and that's just for a few hours. My go to for daily makeup is mascara, highlighter and often concealer. On makeup days I use this product to double cleanse.Regardless of how often you use it, I've found that it's very gentle and scent less, and a little goes a long way. I have found a slight hitch when I'm removing eye makeup, and it leaves my eyes a little blurry. this is a result of the product disrupting my tear film (the fluid layer on the surface of the eye) and that in time can be damaging, but I don't necessarily think it's the products fault.Being cautious about opening your eyes and completely rinsing off the product before you do so will ... I generally struggle to find a first oil-based cleanser that will not strip out my skin. Although this wasn't perfect for my combination tretinoin dehydrated skin, it came very close. I loved that it had no scent. It was luxuriously buttery and very easy to massage on my face without tugging on my skin and it emulsified and washed off very easily. It completely removed my sunscreen. Everything about it was perfect except for how it very slightly left my skin dry. That wasn't the cleanser's fault tough as dehydration due to tretinoin is a problem very few products can solve. All in all, I liked it.

I'm pleased to say that I have had no troubles! I should note that my allergy is moderate (hives and eczema rather than anaphylactic shock, even to expeller-pressed soybean oil). My face is soft and clean and the balm has no drying effect. I miss the smell of the Commleaf Green balm I had been using before, but this one is doing more for my skin, so it wins. It's also ... But I use this cleansing balm from Beauty of Joseon when I want a cleansing balm (generally for travel since it's easier to carry than an oil). Love that it doesn't have any fragrance, it blends easily in my hands and quickly and gently removes makeup. Does get in my eye sometimes but it doesn't burn or irritate which is good. Again, I prefer my cleansing oil b/c it's easy to measure out the pumps exactly whereas balms require me to guess with the scoop so I feel like I go through the product too quickly. But highly recommend this balm for those who prefer balms! A large amount of fragrance free cleanser for only ... Finally a cleansing balm without a twist-off lid! This is so much faster and more convenient and I wish other brands would follow. The one thing I don't like is that the clear plastic layer the scoop is stored on top of goes underneath the part where the lid actually does twist off, so if you want to use the product by simply flipping the lid up, you have to remove the plastic and can't store the scoop inside the jar - unless you don't mind it being inside the jar with the actual balm. Just a minor design flaw, but a pretty annoying one.As for the product itself, it's very good - no fragrance, no irritation, does it's job and is pleasant to use. Great cleansing balm, makes my skin feel clean and soft at the end of the day. Doesn't dry out or irritate it ever, and it has a very faint, pleasant scent. If you are looking for a cleansing balm to remove heavy makeup however, just be warned that it is advertised as a GENTLE cleansing balm! It struggles to remove my waterproof heroine mascara but is fine for ones like L'Oreal telescopic. And it gets rid of any base or other eye makeup just fine. My only real wish is that it had a separate compartment to store the spatula like the heimish balm has! so its more sanitary and you won't lose it. But the container is otherwise easy to use and very simple/solid packaging. I love it and would still reorder it if I have some other cleansing balm or oil for my strong mascaras.
I'm a fan of BOJ so I was really excited to try this product. The container is lovely and it comes with a sturdy spatula. I don't wear much makeup, but I do wear sunscreen everyday. The balm did a decent job of removing my makeup and sunscreen, and it emulsified beautifully. Unfortunately, however, it made my eyes tear up. I really have no idea why - there was nothing in the ingredient list that would seem to cause that reaction for me. I've read some reviewers saying they could smell a fragrance, but I couldn't smell anything. The other thing that I didn't like is that when I rubbed my hands together to liquify the balm it would clump up a bit and I had to break up the clumps. So, I will not be repurchasing this balm again.

Therefore it's pretty hard to find an oil cleanser to properly remove my makeup without irritating my skin and causing a reaction. This is a very lightweight formula, very clean from irritants. Love this for my first cleanse! It has no fragrance as well. The balm has the perfect consistency to use in its original form, it melts easily and smoothly (no texture), and turns into milky emulsion quickly.
