I’ve been using these for a long time and they’ve never failed me to keep food fresh. I use them primarily for wrapping vegetables, fruit, and cheeses, and covering bowls holding non-meat dishes. They have lasting cling power so they don’t fall off of your food. They are easy to use, easy to clean and last (just follow the instructions that come with them). mine lasted a year before showing signs of less clinginess. These are a no hassle solution to plastic wrap. And they’re good for the environment. Love that they come in different sizes with two happy patterns to choose from

I can’t remember who or how I first heard about your lovely wraps, probably online several years ago. I got excited to have some, still get excited to share it, , and can’t wait for my next batch, not because I’ve worn them out, but because I love my Friends so much, I leave the wraps with them at potlucks and happy to share them. They are the coolest and most wonderful things for gifts. I believe so much in what you’re doing. Yay! Keep up the great work, and I love all the designs… Happy customer in Taos!🐝

I really like these, and reuse them over and over. My family’s only complaint is that they don’t know what’s inside the wrapped food. Is it cheddar cheese? Is it swiss? Is it salami? I personally can make a pretty good guess from the size and, if it isn’t, I just rewrap it. But I’m going to find a way to label them to help the kids and hubby out. Otherwise, pretty handy!

I am overall happy with the product, pack of 3 medium and large wraps. My only regret is that the wrap sometimes transfers the arguably pleasant aroma from the wrap to an unpleasant flavor on the wrapped item, (in my case, cheddar cheese). This may be reduced upon subsequent washes of the wrap, and the effect hasn't occured on all wrapped items such as vegetables (possibly something to do with the fat content of the cheese absorbing oils from the wrap). Regardless, I've combatted this by adding parchment paper inner layer when using new wraps. The product still remains a welcome one in my kitchen.
We actually love these! We have been working to make effective eco and cost minded changes within our household. Due to this, we have researched several things extensively including natural wrappers such as these. I know some folks have seemed to have a hard time with them but, if you understand what they are best used for/ how to care for them/ and their benefits as well as limitations, they are fantastic. I do give extra attention when using them to make sure my hands are warm and I take the time to work my way around all sides of whatever I'm using them on in order to assure a good protective seal. They have done beautifully with bowls, onions, individual cucumbers that have been previously cut, cheese, etc. I clean with cold water and a very mild dish liquid if ... MoreWe actually love these! I do not wash with warm/ hot water as this will melt the wax further therein shortening their life span over time. I also make sure to store them in a way that keeps them away from the warmest areas in the kitchen. You may need to scrub a little bit when cleaning the outside of a container they have been used on but this should be expected considering they contain pine and beeswax. Overall we really like them and are saving up to buy more.
I decided to try these beeswax wraps just to see if I could further reduce plastic usage in my household. I had low expectations, for some reason. But my family and I really love these wraps! They work well to cover a plate or dish, but they work best when wrapping something all the way around, like a piece of cheese or a handful of cut-up vegetables. I use the small one to wrap half a banana in the freezer for my smoothie, and it is just perfect for that! The beeswax will stick best to itself. The different sizes are all useful. The small one is good for wrapping small pieces of fruit or vegetables, or a small wedge of cheese. The medium is good for covering something like a soup dish or wrapping half a squash. The large one is just the right size to cover a 9x9 pan. Plus, the design is adorable and makes me smile when I see them! Something to take note of: because of how these wraps work, I found that trying to stick them to a dish that is still warm can leave a residue on the outside of the dish that can be difficult to remove. This is not a product flaw, it's just the nature of the beeswax.
These work surprisingly well! At first, I didn't think they worked at all; I tried to cover a few bowls, and the wrap didn't hold on to the bowl at all. I did a little research via YouTube, and found out you have to CRUMPLE the wrap first. This sufficiently warms up the wrap, and activates its sticking power. Now these wrap around my bowls like champs! Because these wraps can't touch meat or fish, I still use plastic wrap for some things, but far, far less than I used to. The packaging says that, if treated well (washed by hand with cold water only), the wraps should be effective for at least a year. I hope they hold out longer than that. I ordered these a year ago an no longer have them. I washed them as the instructions said when I first used them and didn't have a problem at first. They wouldn't stay wrapped on my 13x9 glass pan or 2c glass bowls at all, even though the pan has handles that allow to add some tension. The wraps didn't stay molded at all. I had a hard time getting them clean following the cleaning directions provided. I threw away the first one after about two months because the wrap itself started to grow mold on it. I threw away the second shortly after that because it started to get holes in it. The last one I had, which I threw away a few weeks ago, only lasted as long as it did because I barely used it (maybe 4 or 5 times?), but the wax on it was starting to come off and get in ... Great idea, bad execution.
I originally bought an assorted 3-pack just to try them out. I figured I don't use plastic wrap very often, so how often would I really use these? Well the answer is ALL THE TIME and I ended up buying several extras because I was always running out. I use the medium one to wrap my sandwich for lunch every day and the others are great for wrapping fruits/veggies. I haven't tried them in the freezer yet, but once I freeze a non-meat item, I will definitely be trying that out. I feel like my food stays fresher so much longer, and they take up so much less room in the fridge than bulky containers. Plus they're compostable at the end of their life! What's not to love? I've also noticed many other "copy-cat" companies, and although I'm happy to see more sustainable ... MoreI originally bought an assorted 3-pack just to try them out. I have been using Gneiss spice jars, ordering the spice refill packs in composting packages, as well as getting interesting cookbooks, useful kitchen tools, reusable food storage items, and fun little things like fridge magnets and useful things like fruit and vedge bags and tea towels and Swedish washing cloths for nearly 2 years now. (Remove magnets and hand wash separately when fully dry add back into the lid, this will keep your jar dry and clean and your spices fresh and dry.👨🍳any store-bought spice you have when you start out with Gneiss will fit in a large empty Gneiss spice jar, this will allow you to use up what you have rather than throwing them away.🥘🌍 experiment with spices you may have never heard of or used and make new dishes with them to explore foods of the world. You will not regret your exploration of world foods.📝 Personal side noteI have trouble with my digestive system, I do not typically digest nutrients to get the full benefits of the food I consume. Since switching to Gneiss Spice spices my doctor jas even remarked on how my bloodwork around my nutrition has gotten better. Gneiss does not claim to have health benefits, this is 100% my experience alone. (but I stand by it till proven otherwise, yet make NO health claims for you.)I have attached pictures to this review so you can see my “spice rack” in action. I hope all I have stated n this review helps you to make an informed decision about the company and its products from someone who is an actual customer who will never go back to store-bought spices again. Now that you have read to this point, run on over to Gneiss and begin your own fresh spice journey. You won’t regret it.
