I do a lot of solo/duo gigs in wineries/breweries and I use a slightly larger PA for the main sound and have used this little guy as a stage monitor and it's been great. The sound is loud and crisp and it's super easy to set up. I have used it as the "main" PA in really small rooms as well (where playing truly acoustic/unplugged would work but you want to have some reinforcement) and it has been suitably loud. It's also incredibly small, so if space is a concern this is a great unit. If you're using this as a monitor, that's not an issue at all. If you're using this as your main PA, you're probably going to want to add a couple pedals to the mix for vox/instruments because while it is loud and it does have 3 band EQ, it is very dry sounding and it's a 6 inch speaker.I've never used the MP3 player. When we put on music between sets we just run it through the house PA. Having MP3 seems unnecessary for my use.The two "flaws" with the unit are as follows:You more or less HAVE to mount it on a mic stand. It will sit on the ground, but there's no real angle to the unit, so it's pointing straight out. If you've got it on the floor the sound is at floor level. It comes with a mic stand adapter for this purpose, and I mount it on a kick drum mic stand so it's angled up and still relatively low to the ground. Frankly, I think it would look weird to have it sitting in front of me on a full size stand, but maybe that's just me.That brings me to the second minor gripe, which is that it comes with a laughably short power cable. If you want it anywhere more than 5 feet from the outlet you'll need an extension of some sort. It's an easy fix, but something you'll want to account for depending on how you use it.

The 3 microphones inputs is ample for me and I set up the unit to what I thought would be about right for the Trad band and it was quite close, the mic stand with 2 mics on (AKG PS3's) was quite close but no feedback, would be better further away but vocals came out clear and banjo sounded good. Have purchased Behringer stuff since 1998 and it is always good I have found. The only thing as a small negative is that there is no in-built echo, chorus or reverb but you could put mics through a mixer with an FX loop and take the sound into the CD / RCA inputs if you do need that. Otherwise I found at 12 o'clock on the main volume it was ok for sound. Vocals came out very well with good projection from the small 6" speaker and clear. Would recommend and it can be used as a monitor too as it has line in on the back.

I have all ways like my 205d but I think this is better. More inputs, bigger speaker, and a mp3 player. The bigger speaker seems to have more bottom end and clarity. They both seem to feed back easily on a mic stand, but I'm hard of hearing after playing almost 45 years. I put mine on a short profile mic stand on the floor because I play sitting down and no feed back problems. Standing up I put it in a chair, again that solves the problem. Would be great for backing tracks for small gigs as a main speaker like rest home or family karaoke.
