This speaker is overall very bad. It has zero low end for a 12" woofer. Just tapping the mic lightly causes the woofer to distort and sound bad. The tweeter is not accurate and sounds harsh and doesn't clearly represent anything. This is what you can expect from such a cheap price. You've probably heard this a lot, but, YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!!!

I got this speaker to be added to our system in a small church. We had two 10" phonic speakers and needed to dedicate one to be a monitor. We play contemporary music.I noticed right away the superior low end sound compared to what we had before. With this speaker we can feel the bass not just hear it.One the highs the speaker is weak. When playing recorded music it sounds a bit muffled. Fortunately I had a Pyle-Pro PAHT4 tweeter system I was not using. It improved the sound significantly, still I wish the speaker was better balanced and I did not had to add the tweeter box.If I had to buy the speaker again I would go for the next model up.

I DJ on the side and ordered these. I am very happy with the purchase! They are light and durable, the handles are super sweet. On the sound quality, I think they are very good (sure, you can spend more and get better quality). But at the price, it's like spending the money for a Honda, but buying a Lexus! they can handle major power and hit pretty hard for some 12s I think. I have only really worked them out a handful of times, so we'll see how they do after a while, but I would definitely recommend them for sure!!

I have a pair of the plastic behringer 15 inch cabinets and then purchased these 12 inch carpeted cabinets. They are both great and I enjoy having them. They are unbeatable for the price as far as I am concerned. we use them for monitors during gigs and use them to practice with. I would even be willing to use my twelves as mains if we needed. Overall, they are a great buy. Don't even think twice about purchasing them.
I would buy again. The only negative is the lack of Speakon connectors. I didn't even check the specs for that as they seem to be included on everything these days.
Eyahhhh get them.I've owned Behringer p.a.s for years. If they arrive working, chances are you can beat the heck out of them and they'll work. The past Behringer speakers I've owned always had a nice tone to them. These sound so flat I wondered if the tweeters were even working. They were, but they're so low you can't hear the crispness.I would pay up a little higher. Also, they are sooooo heavy for the size/performance. Considering nowadays you can get ultralight Peavey's that just pump, for the weight, I felt like I just bought a pair of JBL's from 1975.I highly recommend the 199 Behringer molded speakers. They kick butt and have the best high end.by the way Behgriner works with Mackie on manufacturing.. that's why you might see the resemblance to Mackie in ... MoreEyahhhh get them.I've owned Behringer p.a.s for years. Heavy as heck for the sizeEven though I don't like them, they'll be great for kids on a budget.
I bought a pair of these to downsize from the Behringer B212 molded speakers. They were excellent sounding, but I had issues with them. They tipped over easily, were very clumsy to carry because of the way they were designed with the handles, and heavy for their size. When these came in I was pleased as they lighter, smaller, trapezoidal in size and easier to carry. However, even though they had the same speaker size, they are not as bottom-rich as the B212's. Also, I don't know what kind of tweeter they use, but you really have to crank the high end on the mixer to get any sizzle out of them at all. The B212's had such nice lows and a sizzly high end that made your voice really cut through the mix.The sound of these speakers is dull and lifeless. I want portability, light weight, excellent sound response, and easy transport.Pass on these unless you really are on a budget. By the way, no matter what anyone says, I've owned two Behringer PA's, three Behringer amps, and they've all be rock solid.
Good pair of PA Speakers I got restock ones to save a bit but they looked like New LOL...The front grill of 1 speaker is bent in several spots but the components: driver- 12in., horn, X-over circuit are solidly built and made. It has adapter hole for sitting the On-stage tri-pod Stand. Lovely, setup EZ if you play outdoor for a yard party. All you need is tou have a Power Amp. of about 1000W or a Powered Mixer - I prefer the Yamaha powered one - to extract all the power sound of these 1220 Behringer beast. I bought the 2-yr NEW replacement Warranty too. Just in case I blow these up..ha ha! MF.com's Restock is good to go guys, sell me these great pair of 600W - PA. speakers. Thanks!
I got a pair of these used for our 5 piece rock band because we were getting some outdoor gigs and needed more. We were using a pair of 12" Mackeys for all our gigs. Last night we used these instead of the Mackeys at a medium size club and they were great. I think the bassy quality of these works well with classic rock. It motivated me to write this review.
