Belkin 4-Port Mini USB-C Hub

Integration was seamless. The ports and size were according to my needs. I have a small workspace. Occasional error message regarding USB not connected. I like the price. Needed this hub to get a new headset with usb-c connect to my laptop with only usb-a ports.

Belkin Adapters

My new Dell XPS 13 Plus has only two ports, so I bought two Belkin products to expand options: a USB-C 4-Port Mini-Hub and a USB-C to Ethernet + Charge Adapter. With both connected to the laptop, there are now six ports available for three types of connectors. They are small, high quality products that take up little desk space, and they travel well.

Garbage

As others have stated - doesn't say it supports pass-through charging, then again doesnt say it does.I have a usb-c to hdmi converter - that doesnt work with it. The packaging does not state the power that it provides (then again doesnt say that it does provide power) - except in this comments section.My macbook has 2 usb-c ports, wanted this to plug in usb-a keyboard, usbc-hdmi and power. This does not let me do that at all. Will be taking it back for a refundI think it is a blatant deception on Belkins part the non-advertised limitations/capabilities of this product. This does not meet at all the expected standards of a modern usb-c hub.

Good 3.1 Hub, needs option for Power Adapter

The hub does what the description states... allows you to use multiple USB A type and C type devices with an existing USB C type port. It does not have passthorugh charging, and will therefore not charge your latptop / macbook (nor does it state anywhere in the product description that it will). Based on the reviews I am seeing, people did not fully read the product description...As a simple USB hub allowing for USB 3.0 transfer speeds it works great. Good choice for simple add-on connections

Does what is described. Compact so it takes very little desk space and port powered so there is no extra cord to deal with. Took back 1 star only because I would have preferred a jack rather than an attached cord. Recent issues with computer add-on is that any issued turns out to be the cords or their terminations. If this cord goes I loose the device.

Good, but there are a few things to be aware of.

It primarily does as advertised. I find it a shame that there are not any USB-C hubs that offer many many USB-C ports. This one offers only two. So, you're only getting one additional USB-C hub.What is more, there are a lot of external displays that accept USB-C; however, this hub won't transmit to an external display (at least not in my experience with two different external displays touting USB-C connections).The form factor for this hub is good: nice and small

Limited but usable

I had assumed, incorrectly, that the two, built-in USB-C ports on this Belkin hub would accommodate both the Macbook charger and my Mini-Display-Port to USB-C adapter so that I could charge and use my 27 monitor while working on my 2015 Macbook. No such luck. With the hub plugged into the Macbook's single USB-C port, the only thing the hub's own USB-C ports provide is direct connection to a peripheral with a USB-C port. Dual-link monitors like my 27 Cinema Display and adapters that convert VGA, DVI, USB 3, etc to USB-C do NOT get connected with this hub. At $50 I expected more. There are other hubs at half the price that will do what this hub will do. The Belkin is well-made, but not very well thought out. Needed additional ports

Bought a new and powerful laptop. It came with 1 dongle with 1 USB1 port. It was unusable without the4-port mini hub. I had originally ordered a docking station but with the chip shortage, no telling when Dell will deliver. Couldn't us the new laptop with the mini hub which shipped same day.

Works but needs to be more travel-friendly

My laptop only has two USB ports, and I needed two additional ports to connect my wireless mouse & wireless keyboard. I hooked up this hub port via the laptop's USB-C port and it works well. No issues so far. Although it is a bit clunkier & heavier than expected; and does not lay parallel to my laptop very well due to the cord position. Wish it worked more like an attached adapter rather than on a cord dongle. I think that would make it lighter and more streamlined for travel purposes.

short lifespan - DO NOT BUY - garbage

Have one of these - it's probably less than 2 years old (could be 3?) - and it's dead... Is this what we can expect from Belkin products? I've tried it on a Thinkpad (E495) and a MacBook Pro (2020 M1) and it never shows up (e.g. with a Belkin USB ethernet dongle [purchased from Apple Store - "in store"], or a Samsung USB C thumb drive) in the device tree... Dead... Kaput...
