Very bad wire. Stops charging automatically after 2 to 3 months of use. Now charges for 10mins and then stops charging. Very Bad quality. The negative reviews are absolutely right. I use wires very carefully too. Paid $40 for this wire at apple.

Bought this in the first week of February as part of my daughter's iPhone 11 gift. As of tonight, it doesn't charge at all. I had to use my husband's car charging cable to charge her phone. I'm annoyed and disappointed that it lasted less than 3 months. Of course I don't have the receipt anywhere handy. I wish I'd read the reviews first.

There are so many negative reviews of this cable and Belkin keeps responding with the same reply- this is just not normal, we use the best materials for our cords! PLEASE DON’t ACT LIKE YOU DON’t KNOW BY NOW THE CORD IS FAULTY- unless you want us all to think you don’t take these comments seriously. It’s time to decide how to remedy this situation and send us all a better cord. I paid over $40 for my cord and I want it to work!!!! This will be my third cable and I hope it doesn’t have the same problem. I bought mine from Apple and I noticed they are selling an updated model of the same cord. You should send me the updated model so i can stop thinking you guys sell bad cords and such.

This is has to be the worst charging cable I’ve ever purchased. I am currently on my way to my 3rd cord in less than ONE year. The cord(s) just magically stop working one day. It makes no sense. Someone needs to go back to the drawing board with this cord and redesign it or something. I HATE THIS CORD. I wish I could give it zero stars.
Got it last November and it stops charging after 6 to 7 months of use. The lighting connector of it just got loose and won't charge. Other negative reviews are absolutely true. I Paid $54.95+tax CAD for it at apple. Save your money and don't purchase this product. It is a waste of money
I bought 3 of these cables last year in May and in November. Reason being is that they looked robust and are reasonably long (3m). However today in less than a year all 3 of them stopped functioning. The lighting connector of the first one just got loose and stayed in the iPhone. The 2nd one stopped working 1 week later and the 3rd keeps going on and of all the time.
I bought this charger on 8/24, a day before I left for college, knowing that it would be useful to have a fast charger with a long cord in my dorm room. At the end of October, roughly 2 months after I purchased it, I noticed that I would wake up and find that my phone was not fully charged. As a broke college student, the fact that I wasted my money on this makes me depressed :( Save your money and your happiness and don't purchase this product.
I got the 10 foot version of this cable from Apple recently but unfortunately disposed of the box so I’m stuck with it. It is WAY too stiff..!! It charges fast and works great if you plug it in and don’t move your phone. The second you pick up your phone the stiffness of the cord moves the lightning adaptor around and the phone switches between charging and not charging. It’s completely useless, I can’t use it while I’m using my phone which completely defeats the purpose of a better quality 10 foot cable. Don’t you guys test these products out before you Bring them to market? Who designed this? The cord is so strong I could tow a car with it, I understand where you are trying to strengthen it but there needs to be some flexibility or it’s just going to keep ... MoreI got the 10 foot version of this cable from Apple recently but unfortunately disposed of the box so I’m stuck with it. The cord is so strong I could tow a car with it, I understand where you are trying to strengthen it but there needs to be some flexibility or it’s just going to keep unplugging the lightning adaptor from the phone and eventually breaking the actual lightning plug itself from the stress, or damaging my phones plug-in. I would give anything to trade this for a cheaper, even 6 foot, version of it because it’s completely useless to me.
The braided cable is AWESOME. However, in less than a month, I’m onto my THIRD one. The USB-C broke on my first cable. I was asleep and my phone was on my nightstand when it happened. I ordered another one right away but also decided to see if Belkin would replace the broken one. They did and it arrived fairly quickly. I was pleased until today when low and behold, the USB-C broke off. $50+ later and less than one month after my first purchase, I’m already looking for a new charger. I’m fuming. Don’t waste your money!
My Belkin cords last a month at the most then they start doing that thing where you have to hold it in a certain position for it to charge 0/10 experience. You’re really paying for the lifetime warranty not the cord lol. The lifetime warranty is cool n all but the whole process starts to get annoying when you have to contact them every month. There must be a dollar store cord under that “DuraTek” fabric warping hahahaI can promise you that I take good care of my cords! there’s no way my luck is that bad. You’re better off buying the apple cables if you can take care of your cords, they truly last the longest.
