Ben and Jerry's consistently provides a solid product with great tasting ingredients. Their company also does a lot of great work for the community and has long been known for taking care of their employees. Their chocolate chip cookie dough remains a top choice for me. I find some of their flavors to be too sweet, but this one has a good balance with a strong vanilla base. It's delicious but unfortunately on the pricier side. It's definitely more of a treat than a regular buy.

Now this is what non-dairy ice cream needs to taste like! Well done B&J, well done. The original B&J Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough ice cream is my absolute favorite sweet treat. Before switching to a plant based diet, I would consume more than my fair share of the creamy cookie dough awesomeness. Now that I'm not eating dairy, I am in need of an alternative. This product does not disappoint. I taste-tested it side by side with the So Delicious version. B&J killed the competition! No contest. It's rich, creamy, and there are GOBS of cookie dough chunks all throughout. Plus, no aftertaste. Does it taste just like the original? Not quite, but close enough. Now, I can still enjoy my favorite treat without disrespecting my eating preferences.
This used to be a 5 star product in our home. My husband has milk and oats allergies. I order this regularly. I recently heard Ben and Jerry's was changing to oat milk so when I ordered this today I double checked the ingredients. I was so excited that the change hadn't happened yet. After dinner my husband got a few scoops and immediately said it tasted different. We checked the label and sure enough it's the new oat milk recipe. I already let them know but I just want to warn others!
Very surprised to see so many reviews raving about the cookie dough bits... I bought 2 pints of this for the first time and while the flavor and consistency were great, I was disappointed in how itty-botty each of the cookie dough "chunks" were. Smaller than a dime, each and every tinny one. The distribution was relatively fair, but the size of each "chunk" is too economical in my eyes (for the manufacturer, not the consumer). Priced at nearly $5 each, I expected more. Very appreciative of the non-dairy line, but I don't think I'll buy this again when it's largely non-dairy vanilla ice cream.
It’s not good. That’s it. The ice cream itself isn’t good. Only the cookie dough in it. Ben and Jerry’s big miss. The cheesecake nondairy one is good. This one is so gross to me, it’s going into the trash. Not worth the calories.
This ice cream is super creamy, pretty sweet, and has a similar texture to real ice cream! I am pleasantly surprised because most “cookie dough” ice cream has barely any dough pieces but this is PACKED with cookie dough. 2-3 dough bites per spoonful. I love eating cookie dough straight up so this is great. Its very rich, like real ice cream, so I cant eat more than half the carton at a time. Still, its super delicious! I got a great deal on this ice cream which was 2 for $6 and each tub was $6 so that was even better! I highly recommend. If you dont like this ice cream or want to try something new, I also highly recommend SoDelicious Cashew Milk Ice Creams.
Tastes awful. Has no cream flavor, whatsoever. The cookie dough is cheap and tastes synthetic; it's like something out of a cardboard box. Possibly something to be served in a prison. Gave the other two pints to the animals, and they rejected it.
i cannot tell you how excited i am that Ben and Jerrys made this oatmilk based ice cream!! i LOVE that Walmart carries this and i ask you to please continue carrying this product. I have been without milk and dairy for several years now as i have severe reactions to milk. this ice cream is delicious and i can eat it with no problems 😊
