This is one of the best balm lipstick hybrids I have seen before! It's so opaque and shiny but not drying. It does wear off a bit when I eat, but not that bad honestly. I like how it sort of stains your mouth, giving you that popsicle finish. I got this in my Boxycharm and honestly wouldn't buy it retail, but it's not bad. Has no great scent or anything. Packaging is sort of flower like. Decent product. Benefit either makes absolute hits or misses and this certainly is a hit.

I got wine and it looks really beautiful swatched on the skin, lips, and even on me when I did the online try on thing. Unfortunately it's way too dark. It looks nothing like the swatch at all. Props for the color being so prominent and bright but I wanted it to actually look like the swatch not 4 shades darker. It applies really smoothly but it literally has barely any moisture. For something that's supposed to be a lip balm I expected something more moisturizing. Really dissapointed

I loved loved the original Benefit lip balms...like another reviewer I'm partial to balms - and have tried many. Benefit's were the best. The originals were super silky with great slip, more sheer yet still great pigment that didn't creep into the lines on the outer part of the mouth. Very hard to find. So when they were discontinued I was so bummed. With this new one I was excited to try...however like other mentioned it feels incredibly dry, very little slip. I don't mind the deeper pigment but if you could dab it a bit to mellow it out...however because it's so dry it's not easy to do. Going to return the one purchased... it gets 3 stars because the color choices are great and the pigment is doable if it has more slip to work with.

Not exactly sure why they're trying to market this lipstick as a lip balm. Sure, it's hydrating and did smooth the lines on my 💋 lips and looked pretty enough, but cherry is not sheer at all. It's creamy and highly pigmented. It's crazy bright. I think it would look pretty on very pale skin, perhaps if you are into contrast, bright colors and are very young. Lovely on an adventurous teenager. I'm a 47 year old woman though, so...
I bought this in the shades Berry and Ruby. Berry is a perfect plummy-pink for a "your lips but better" look that is buildable to a darker mauve. Ruby is a classic red that is neither too orange nor too purple. Just a pure red. The formula is so silky, moisturizing, and the finish is shiny without being sticky. The pigmentation is good-not too saturated so if you wanted a sheer look it would work. But buildable if you want more of a lipstick type coverage. It's very long lasting as well. One last thing-it smells great!
Im surprised by the low rating on this product. Ive been obssesed with it since its launch. I find the best way to apply these is to pat on a tiny amount on the lips, blend with finger and then go in with additional layers until you get your desired pigment. The color is pigmented and they are highly moisturizing. I love the shade "poppy" but I also own shades "berry" and "nude pink". I always get compliments when I wear these :)
I was searching for a moisturizing lip balm that would also have a tint of color. The packaging presentation is also super cute, it's not a boring looking tube, it was very unique. I was searching for a darker color, preferably a red or a nice purple tone. Based on the packaging the pomegranate was one of their darker colored tones but after one coat of application it looked like a pink, pretty but a tad too bright for my personal preference. I started warming up to the color though, but what I didn't quite get used to was how sticky it felt. Again this is a personal preference. As far as moisturizing, it didn't really feel moisturized, which was weird because it did feel sticky but somehow not moist, this is the one characteristic i'm using to rate it, for it's ... I have 2 colors of this. I have Pomegranate and Pink Quartz. They both have a consistency difference that I think is noticeable. They are both fairly hydrating, but not like medicated burts bees.First off, we have the color Pomegranate. I like the color, but I don't wear it often. Rookie mistake with this balm: not for the faint of heart! It is SUPER pigmented and will stain your lips. This is like a lip stain. I think it is more creamy than the other color. I dab it on so I lose most of the hydration factor. However it's still a nice color.Second, we have Pink Quartz. I use this one the most often since it is light and super natural. Only problem I have with this color, is it is pretty light so it "spices" your lips up instead of changing the color. This is ... MoreI have 2 colors of this. I have Pomegranate and Pink Quartz. This is more hydrating than the other one I feel. This one is more of the balm consistency than the creamy consistency.Overall, I enjoy them, I think there are better products on the market if you are looking for tinted hydration, but this is more glossy on the lips so I will continue to buy.
I was looking for a berry-ish or deep rose color clean lip balm & came across this profuct in store. I liked the consistency when i applied it in store but had to order the Rosewood online. I'm *OBSESSED* with this. I have super pale neutral peach undertone skin & it seemed like everything either pulled too purple or pink on me. This is a perfect deep rose that doesn't accentuate my lupus butterfly rash. It lasts a decent amount of time on it's own but i pair a similar color lip liner underneath (RIP Becca) & it lasts all day. Would definitely recommend this product to anyone!
I was very excited to finally see a balm that is color heavy like a lipstick. At last! Only problem is that it slides all over the place. It's like it just melts all over your face. It also does not seem very moisturizing and does not last very long. The packaging, while cute, has petal edges that tip outward like a flower which seem like they could catch on things in your purse or pocket and remove the lid easier. I'd hate to have a purse or pocket full of bright red balm. The color ruby is very pretty and close to what I'd been looking for. This balm does not smell bad either. The problem with the balm sliding all over the place without being touched is the reason it is highly unlikely that I will purchase any other colors in this balm.
