Benefit Cosmetics Roller Lash Curling Mascara Mini

A couple of months ago or so, I ordered this mascara along with another mascara from Benefit ( ) online from Sephora to be delivered to my house. (No particular reason I ordered online rather than going to a physical Sephora location, other than that I typically don't shop at Sephora in person because I seen to generally have a much easier time if finding good discounts on products they sell in their site or app, as compared to in person/store. Not even a close comparison in my experience, tbh.) Anyhow, I really like this mascara, and would definitely recommend it for someone looking to try a new mascara that will extend/lengthen, separate/define, and add some curl into their lashes (even when I do not use an eyelash curler prior to applying this mascara, I still find it to have some curling effect on my lashes which are genetically flat/straight, to the point of actually sometimes pointing downward!). I purchased the smaller size, which, at $13 seemed fairly reasonable to me for a mascara product of this size that I truly do recommend highly and use regularly. I will mention though, that Benefit, being a larger and relatively more expensive brand of cosmetics does charge $26 for what they consider the "full size" version of this product, which to me seems like a pretty solid chunk of money to be spending in one go on a single tube of mascara, particularly if you have not tried it before and therefore do not know how it is likely to work with your eyelash type. At $13 for the smaller sized tube that I purchased, however, I would say it may well be worth trying if you are looking for a good quality mascara to separate/definite, seriously lengthen, and even to some degree, curl your lashes. As I mentioned earlier, I have been using this mascara almost every day, and sometimes even twice a day ( if I touch up later, or redo my makeup after showering later in the day) and I still have plenty left, without the slightest sign of the product running out on me! A little goes a long way! 😊 Another reason I recommend trying the smaller tube to begin with us because mascaras, as you may also know, tend to dry out over time...and while they can be sometimes revived with pure essential oils - just a drop or two mixed into the tube (hemp seed, olive, castor oil, etc), of course, not everyone prefers to do that, regardless. If you do give this mascara a try or already have, I'd love to hear what you think if it too!

Benefit Cosmetic's Roller Lash Super Curling Lifting Mascara is one of my top 3 favorite mascaras! I've tried SEVERAL mascaras but always end up buying Roller Lash again! First off, I love the packaging. I mean who doesn't love a peachy pink, black combo? The wand handle has a soft textured netted pattern overlayed on top of your standard plastic, but this extra touch and detail gives this mascara a more luxurious and special feel to it. Applies well, but weighs down eyelashes

Here's the tea. I love that the applicator is texturized like shown in the photo. It's also made of this silicone or rubber composition which makes it SUPER easy to use. I normally have all my skincare products on my hands still along with sunscreen when i want to do makeup and its literally the hardest thing to open any products, but I really appreciate that this design takes into account 1) people that have trouble opening things and 2) more grip for when you don't have time to wash hands before putting on makeup. The applicator itself spreads the mascara i'd say pretty evenly so it doesn't leave any clumps which is amazing and the formula allows for multiple layers. If this is also you, I'd say start off with one layer at a time to see how much product you can apply before your eyelashes begin to stop holding their curl. The design of this brush also makes for separating the eyelashes very nicely. Overall this formula and applicator works wonders and really does apply to all lashes. The problem I have is that because I have almost no curl to my eyelashes naturally, I can't apply as much product for a more intense and full look. I thought that because it was designed differently that the applicator would allow for more product without weighing my eyelashes down, but that wasn't the case. I'm not sure if there is any mascara other than waterproof mascara that doesn't weigh down the eyelashes, but this one isn't it. If you have naturally curly eyelashes and are looking for something that gets all your eyelashes without separating them, then this is for you! otherwise, maybe look somewhere else. I applaud Benefit for thinking outside the box and making an applicator that is more inclusive than most.

I hated this, now I can't live without it!

I bought this awhile ago in a three pack of Benefit's top mascaras. I tried it once and absolutely hated the way it made my lashes look. I recently ran out of my Gucci mascara sample and was trying to use up things I hated to get rid of them. I have no idea what happened, but this has become my daily ride or die, can't go without having this mascara. I don't need the curling aspect because I have naturally curly lashes, but it makes my already long lashes look even longer. The best feature, it's not crunchy, it doesn't give me raccoon eyes, and there is minimal transfer. It's not waterproof, but it's very water resistant. I am starting to dislike the feel of waterproof mascara and can't find anything that doesn't go all over my brow bone and under eyes. Lots to Like, but No Curl

My lashes RARELY hold a curl with any mascara, so I honestly wan't surprised when they dropped with this one as well (and yes, I do use an eyelash curler). HIWEVER, this mascara adds volume and A LOT of length. It gives me a beautiful doe-eyed effect I don't get with other mascaras, and the high pigmentation makes my lashes stand out even more. I find it lengthens my outer lashes on its own, giving me a l'm elongated effect. No problems with clumping, flaking, or smudging. I feel really pretty in this mascara. HOWEVER: for curling, separating, and a flluffier effect, I prefer the Maybelline Colossal mascara. Less pigmented, but it actually provides that lift for me when nothing else will, and that's what I'm really looking for at the end of the day. Love, love, love!

Went into the store looking for a new mascara after returning a not so great one from a different brand. One of the workers recommended this to me based on me already having fairly long lashes and just needing a lift. I'm so glad they did because this stuff is awesome! I really don't even have to curl my lashes anymore and it perfectly defines them! Also, I love that it's not water proof but water resistant! I use eye drops a lot and it makes non waterproof mascara run like crazy. Not this stuff! But yet, all I need is water to take it off. I find that a huge plus! It doesn't smudge very much which is great because I rub my eyes a lot too from dry contacts. If you have trouble finding good mascara, give this a shot!

It's a pattern at this point. I finish a tube of Roller Lash, I switch to something more affordable. Then back to Roller Lash, and it repeats. The alternatives fall short every time, which always leads me back to Roller Lash. I just haven't found anything better for my straight, sparse lashes. It lifts, seperates, gives good volume and is super black with two coats. 2 coats is the max with this one; more than 2 and you're asking for chunky lashes. With some finesse and use of the spikey bristled brush in a strategic manner, my lashes never clump during application with two coats. They end up perfectly seperated, lifted, volumized and blacker than black every single time. I love the effect and it's consistent. There is a slight learning curve I think given the unusual texture of the product. It's a tacky formula, not exactly wet, meaning it's malliable to a certain point. There's enough play time with the formula that I'm able to manipulate my lashes with the brush as I apply the mascara in order to get them as seperated and full as I like. But past two coats the formula will begin to work against me, so I stop at two and it is perfect. It doesn't completely set like a typical mascara but it doesn't transfer or remain wet either. It just means the lashes have slight tack when touched after it's set, the formula doesn't flake and lashes stay in place. It's seriously the best mascara, namely for how it makes my lashes look. But equally as important is it does not flake, not even a little, which is a problem I have with almost all concentional mascaras. My one and only gripe is that newer tubes dry up sooner than old tubes did. They may have changed the formula along the way, I'm not sure. But I remember distinctly the formula being a little less thick, which meant it spread a bit easier on lashes and less product went further. I notice I now have to do more wiggling at the base and tips of my lashes to get product to come off from the brush, but once it gets going it's no problem. Just something I've picked up on over the years using this mascara. I'm using Tarte Gifted at the moment and it's pretty good, but I need my Roller Lash back. It simply can't be beat.

This is one of my favorites if not my absolute favorite mascara of all time. And I am generally a harsh mascara critic! This lifts, curls, and separates without clumps and provides length and volume. It is more dramatic looking if you add several layers but it can be more natural with less swipes. And it lasts all day! No smudges or flakes! Looks essentially as good at the end of the day, I’m not exaggerating! My only complaint is it wears almost like a waterproof formula, which is great for how long it lasts - but it takes some tugging and rubbing to remove which I loathe because I’m afraid of ripping eyelashes out. These mascaras are super gentle and you are able to remove them, and this, with some hot water. Super easy and gentle on the lashes. This is what tempted me, as my super waterproof mascara has caused me to lose a lot of lashes as well as made my lashes thin over time. This mascara truly does curl without a curling tool. No clamping means less damage to lashes! I'm all for that. At its best for me, it has held a curl for 16 hours. Fantastic. Even when it does cause lashes to droop, which some days it can, it still looks very natural and pretty. HOWEVER - if you use this mascara and have oily lids or under-eyes (or use a super hydrating eye cream or moisturizer one day, like I did when I learned this) you will 100% need to use a setting powder anywhere your lashes may touch because this mascara transfers like crazy when touching any moisture or oil. Summer usage May be tricky because of this fact. Basically, just make sure that whatever you do, you use a mattifying powder around your eyes where this may touch or come into contact otherwise you will be seeing panda eyes. Other than that? Fantastic.
