A monitor that delivers without compromise

I used this monitor for my first PC build, as well as for my console. So far I've had no problems, this monitor has a minimalistic design and gives a good 144hz at an excellent price. I especially like this monitor's ability to extend or turn slightly, which is useful if you want the monitor at eye level or lower. Overall, this monitor has what I'm looking for and does it's job well.

This monitor was purchased for $250 and is a bargain at this price. 144hz on pc at 1080p is great on this monitor. Response time is super fast and the monitor looks very slick. Console at 120hz also makes this amazing playing warzone or fortnite at 120fps. It’s amazing and I won’t be going back to 60hz monitor any time soon.

Bought the EX2780Q after seeing so many positive reviews and finding it can do 1440p @120hz on the Xbox One X. Pictures and online reviews simply cannot do this monitor justice. In real life, it has a incredible image quality. I've tried numerous monitors and this is the first to give me that "wow" feeling. Color reproduction is incredible and it runs all of the games I've tried thus far smooth as silk. For reference I play shooters about 95% of the time so speed is important to me. I have not tried the monitors speakers as I always use a wireless headset. I do see though where some people can have a problem with a few aspects of the monitor that don't bother me. I'm only using a single hdmi and the power cable and I don't really have much room remaining without the cover portion of the stand falling off. If you are intending on using the display port and both hdmi inputs then i honestly don't see how the cover would ever stay on. Then again if you don't care about cable management then its not a issue. I also really like the supplied remote more than I thought I would. Granted I play at a desk but its just convenient to access everything with the remote instead of using the navigation joystick on the back of the monitor. Overall i highly recommended this monitor. Its on instance where I spent over $400 for something game related and have zero issues justifying its price.

Great IPS monitor with useful features
25 August 2021

Got this on sale for $250 (August 2021). The colours are so much better than my old 144Hz VA panel. One thing BenQ does really well is the height adjustable stand and I'd love to see it on every monitor, even if it's just a cheap & basic monitor. The adjustability is definitely worth it since it allows me to sit ergonomically (I'm 6'0). I do wish that it was curved since it's 27'.

Great Monitor for a Great Price!
7 October 2021

I picked this monitor up after doing some research about a larger monitor for my home office. I wanted a monitor that was good for both CAD and some gaming. This monitor does not disappoint! Set-up is easy, and getting the settings adjusted for my computer was simple. The only gripe I have is that the power button is on the back of the monitor, kind of in a weird spot, so that makes turning it on/off a little tricky. Besides that I am very happy with my purchase and would definitely use Micro Center again for computer related purchases.

Great monitor
21 October 2021

I bought 3 of these to replace 22" Dell monitors. I use them for work, such as MS Office and some special software my business uses.(I don't use them for gaming so I can't help you there.)I'm quite happy with the clarity and resolution, plus with larger screens they are much easier to see detail. I would recommend them.I also liked that the monitor could be raised and lowered although after a month I also purchased a 3 monitor stand, which really frees up desk space.

I've been using the Asus VX228H for a couple of years and decided it was time for an upgrade. I started doing my reseach and came across this monitor, number one reason I had my eyes on the BenQ EL2870U was because of its input lag. Most people don't know that buying a 144hz or 240hz monitor won't reduce the input lag on your gaming consoles (PS4 Pro and Switch 60fps), it will only work on a gaming pc. Back on topic, the BenQ EL2870U has an input lag of 8.8ms using 4k 60fps or HDR and 9.7ms using 4k 30fps. Picture quality is great, not IPS panel levels though and HDR is okay, not the best I've seen. Perfect for ps5
14 October 2021

This monitor is the perfect fit for PS5, 120hz is a game changer when playing competitive multiplayer. Watzone, R6 siege and any other game that supports it play like a dream in 120hz, it is night and day. Settings are easy and simple to use and prefer FPS mode with shooters but you can adjust to your own liking on other modes. Make sure HDR is off (i think automatic setting also works) and resolution is set on 1920x1080 on the console for 120hz mode to work. Also the speakers are underrated, the sound is great if you're not on your headset. Grab this when it's on sale if you are looking for a monitor for your console.

This monitor is great. Don't hesitate to buy it. Long review : So I wanted something for gaming on my newly built PC running I7 9700k processor and a 2060 Super. I realized 4k I would love to have but for the price it's not worth it. My graphics card is going to do 1440 just fine and this is the reason I got it. I didn't need a crazy fancy 1ms lag monitor. I just wanted something thats great Refresh and decent 1-10ms. I also wanted dual monitor which is the reason I bought a 24" Dell Gaming Monitor S2417DG. It was TN that had bad viewing angles. Figured do I really care? When am I going to be viewing the monitor from the side. Really not a big deal. Fast response time with 1ms and 165hz Refresh rate and under $300. Awesome Deal. For a casual gamer that does play Call of duty and fast paced games the response time was great. However the picture quality was not. The best way to describe it is that it appears as if the brightness is turned up all the way. It has that haze look. First of all I thought 27" is HUGE no way to run dual monitors so I got 24 dell and I just can't play on it. It runs great but going from Sony 930e TV to Dell monitor the colors are not even close. Every setting I tried changing going online and it look good but it did not look great. I bought a monitor that I want to play on not one that looks okay. So for $150 more I went with the BenQ with all these wonderful reviews. Now if your budget and need a good priced monitor that dell is awesome and you wont find better for the specs. It wasn't horrible. I liked it alot just Im about the best of the best always. BenQ was it worth it? So worth it. I now have not played on my TV a single time since getting this monitor. The colors are great the response time is fast and trust 144hz makes a huge difference coming from 60. Everything feels ridiculously smooth. Just moving windows around in a circle I am just amazed. Its awesome. Color is accurate I loved not having to adjust anything it came out of box looking great. Only thing I changed was color mode to Gamer 2. I like the extra pop of color especially when playing. I can't stress enough you pay for what you get. Also 27" is a perfect size it's not that big and this is coming from someone that's going to run dual monitors. G-sync compatible. Yes confirmed this is. Even if it doesn't specifically say so it is. And also confirmed that I was able to enable it. Response time yes I can barely tell the dell felt a little faster but not at all worth losing all the color quality. I feel like you just can't enjoy a game without it looking amazing. Connections: Big deal for me. I run a TV through hdmi and 2 monitors. So I love that BenQ has all 3 options. Even if I want to play on my ps4 it will work! Which is great. To clear some things up because I heard inaccurate information from YouTube reviews. HDR, Gsync, Refresh rate will WORK on TYPE C, hdmi, and Display. Yes I can confirm it works on all three because I tried on all three. People online said gsync only works on display and HDR only works on HDMI. This is a lie. I confirmed not the case. Of course you need the correct cables. But it will work. Currently using type C and I love it. Also was able to use Type C cable for my gf mac on this monitor and it works great! If your coming from a TV with 50-100ms lag. Going to a 5 ms lag is going to be a huge difference. You will not be disappointed. HDR yea the reviews are right HDR is meh I mean for call of duty it was whatever kinda got darker I like bright so disabled. However what they didn't say is I believe is made better for Videos. Because i downloaded a full quality HDR 4k demo video and WOW HDR looks amazing. It's so nice that I wouldn't be able to tell difference between my TV and monitor it looks that good. So for that I can say HDR works great! For gaming though I would say leave off but it's not bad so try it see if you like it. Also HDR-I is okay but same thing wouldn't use no need to. ALSO Love having a remote to change settings on the fly. Very convinent. Speakers Okay so many people overhyped them :l So are they amazing?! No they're not. They don't get super loud or sound crystal clear. However do they sound good? Yes! There great and work better than any other monitor speakers. Can definitely say I will be using this as my dedicated speakers. There is no more need to buy external speakers. They will work for YouTube and basic needs. But don't think this will be insanely good. I do love the. though. Overall I am so happy with this monitor and I got to say. It's worth the extra money. Save up never settle. Your forever going to say if only I spent a little more I would've got better monitor. Don't find yourself there get the BenQ! I also was skeptical btw because so many reviews said all these people were paid for reviewing on YouTube. I don't doubt it but hey I'm honest reviewer and can tell you the reviews are for the most part accurate. I left this review because I wish I knew that ...

good for 1080p
5 October 2021

Never thought I'd need 144 fps but I'm glad I switched. The panel looks good. The stand is very heavy/sturdy. Somehow the nvidia control panel allows me to turn on g sync even though I don't believe this is "G-Sync Compatible." Not sure that I would be able to tell the difference anyway. Was $300 but got it on sale for $200. Wouldn't recommend 1080p for $300. Just go up to 1440p if your graphics card can handle it. Only criticism is that Zowie is a weird name.
