My son has been using his Bentgo for preschool and has loved it. He loves helping to prepare his snack by putting them in the individual sections. It’s great that the tray comes out and that there is an ice pack. It fits in his backpack well with his water bottle, and because it is slim it doesn’t take over the space. I’ve had some confusion how the ice pack works because there is no liquid in it. It is really light so I’ve wondered if it was damaged and missing the fill. It gets cold in the freezer but I’m not sure how long it lasts. When he is home from school after 3 hours, his snack is not chilled. Other concerns have been that it is not the easiest to close, like it’s bursting at the seams. So I guess it’s moisture from the time it’s prepared and used at school till he gets home that causes it. I still think it is a great product but can’t continue to use with the mold. We have had it about 2 years.

This product is so perfect in so many ways. My husband has fits almost his whole lunch in one container. However, the lid snaps are a disappointment. I bought two of these containers and within five months both lid snaps have broken. We’re trying to use duct tape to secure the lids so we don’t waste fairly new containers but that does not work great. It wouldn’t be so disappointing if there were actual replacement lids or lid snaps to buy but there’s not. I know things wear out but if the company was invested in actual reusable containers they would have replacement parts to reduce people wasting a whole nice container set up for one small broken part.

I bought a set of five (so ten in all) in July to use as meal prep containers. I loved the idea of them but there’s a lot to be desired. All of my food storage containers are glass, none have ever chipped. 6/10 of these bowls have chips, one being unusable now. You need to press down HARD to get them to latch which often results in them breaking off. Most of them can be snapped back into place but it’s still frustrating. They also don’t nest well and take up a lot of space.The different components work well when trying to keep things separate. For one of my bowls the latch snapped and became unfixable, bentgo replaced it for me. However these are not worth the price at all.

We got this box to replace a bentgo brights, which was handed down to the next daycare child. This box went to K+1 with my older child. The cold pack is nice to keep the whole thing slim. I still send it in a lunch bag because while it's great at not leaking, kids aren't always great at properly closing-- despite them being very fully capable of operating the clasp. Kids 🤯I top rack dishwasher the inner tray, it's held up great. The silicone lids of both my bentgo boxes (and the hinges of this one) developed mildew that stained. We have NEVER washed the lunch boxes in the dishwasher, ALWAYS hand wash and when storing them away we would make sure they were completely dry to not trap any moisture. If I could I would give this 4.5 stars, but since I can’t I’m happy enough to round it up to 5 stars. These lunchboxes have been great for our family, we’d recommend them if you’re looking for something to keep food cool for kids on the go. I work 12 hr shifts in the hospital. I was super excited by this container, so excited I bought 2, one for my lunch and one for my dinner. I bought a kids Bentgo box for my son and it's really been great. I liked that this was glass, had the fork and was going to keep me honest about portion sizes. The problem is the top tray does not keep things separated. I've tried my best to keep the container level but they still spill into each other. So if I want to add anything semi-wet or cooked to my salad, i.e. beets and pumpkin seeds, they will be mushed together. One of the snap handles keeps popping off when I close it as well. I'll keep using it but will need to add extra containers to my lunch bag for "wet" items.

I was thrilled to find that there is a glass option, and they were cheaper to buy in a two pack so I went for it. I was skeptical when they arrived because they looked small, and I was certain the dressing cup wasn’t big enough…but I was wrong! These have been a weekday lunch game-changer. Plenty of room for protein and toppings, and the dressing cup is the perfect size. I love that the lid has two closing points, so I can still latch it and shake my salad to incorporate the dressing when the insert is out!! We have used Bentgo boxes for years and were excited this year to find the Bentgo Kids Chill Lunch Box with the ice pack part of the box itself. Our son uses it everyday for school and we hand wash it every day. Unfortunately the rubber seals have been developing mold and no matter how much I try to clean them I can not make them go away. I’ve tried Dawn, I’ve tried white vinegar. I’ve tried soaking it in a mixture of the two and despite our best efforts the mold is starting to spread more and I don’t feel comfortable using this anymore. I am very disappointed because we loved this product and it was perfect for our son’s school lunches and we followed the cleaning instructions and still had issues with mold.
I love this salad container! It's made of glass, not plastic, which is a huge plus for me. It's the one container I use to eat directly from at work, without needing to transfer my salad to another plate or bowl. I initially bought four containers, thinking I could use them for my usual meal prep. However, I had to return two because they didn't all fit in my refrigerator.If they sold only the inserts and lids, I could prepare my entire week's lunches and just fill the salads each night. Unfortunately, one of the lid latches broke after a few weeks of use. Because of this, I would appreciate the option to purchase a replacement lid.
