Container is bad....customer service is worse

The container does not hold together. The seal between the bottoms and the tops is poor. It requires use of an elastic band that will likely wear out or get lost quickly. You can't just use the bottom tray and the top lid - they don't fit together. Bentgo customer service won't stand behind the product other than to agree to replace broken pieces. If you don't like the product, you can only take it back to Target (which will be difficult, since you've probably removed the shrink wrap to look at the package). The package says "happiness guaranteed". The only happiness is for Bentgo taking your money.

Cracked through normal use

Difficult to snap together. I could get over that but by third use the bottom container had a large crack in it. Now it leaks and must be thrown out. I can't continue to use just the top container because the lid pops off the top easily, and the band is too large to secure only half of the set. Very disappointed.

It's just alright.

We used this all summer before I gave it a review. The compartments are not leak-proof. Therefore the juice from your strawberries or humus will undoubtedly soak whatever else is in there. This defeats the purpose of a lunch box as I had to separate fruit into plastic baggies. Also, I don’t like that it needs the elastic band to keep it together. My daughter lost it at camp for a few days which renders the entire Beto box useless. I would not purchase this again. I would look for a better one that is leak-proof and snaps together.

No latches = grave consequences

To say I am disappointed would be an understatement. I thought it would be the perfect storage option for my lunches. Upon crafting my first lunch in this container, everything seemed to go as planned — but alas, as I tugged on the strap to make sure all was secure, the entire container disassembled and ejected my lunch onto the floor. Four strawberries, two Oreos, and a beautiful quinoa salad, packed with great care, only to end up sullied and desolate on the hardwood. Why the lids do not have latches, I will never know — but until they do, beware the Bentgo.

Shrinks until unusable

I love how cute it is and how much it can hold in such a compact unit. However, it claims to be both microwave safe and dishwasher safe as long as it’s on the top shelf. I don’t believe it should be used in either as I have used mine a total of 5 times, it’s been microwaved 3 times and put in the dishwasher 1 time (I usually hand wash because it’s faster) and it physically cannot be put back together anymore. The bottom has shrunk so much that the top section can no longer sit in it when storing and both lids are way too big for both sections to the point it seems like I’m trying to fit two sets together. If you plan on only using it for cold food, this is definitely a great lunch box, just keep away from all heat.

Slayful

This is great for work. I am a 1 main course and 2 sides kind of person; i don’t spend a lot of time planning what i want to have for lunch, so i like that there’s minimal compartments. But you could make more compartments with a silicone divider. It’s discreet, cute, and washes easily; you can even microwave it. Only downside is that if turned over or upside down, the 2 compartments will leak into each other. Not a big deal if you have solids, but it is a big deal if you don’t like your foods to mix or have liquids. Personally for me this isn’t a big deal because i just make sure to keep it upright in my lunchbox. That being said you would need a lunchbox that stands up and not lays down. I will repurchase it again when my current one gets too old

Terrible buy

Hate this set. I've never spent so much money on tuboware......everrrrr. The container is fairly small, better just for snacks. The elastic strap is the only way for it to stay together. It does not click in place. I'm only giving it two stars because the actual material is fine and hasn't cracked yet even after a couple months. Not practical for my husband's lunch at all.

almost perfect

I really like the functionality of this lunchbox, and I love how it looks as well. It has a large bottom box, a lid that holds the utensils, and a split top box with the top lid. It holds a nice amount of food for a child or adult, and I really like that the utensils can be packed right with the lunch. My biggest problem with this lunchbox is that the lids do NOT snap on. Seriously. Not even the top lid snaps on. The stretchy band that comes with it pretty much holds them all together. I really wish Bentgo would just make this with snap-on lids, because it would be so much easier and make so much more sense. The lids just kinda sit on top of the boxes, but it is definitely not spill proof. Besides this super frustrating part, it's a really nice, cute lunchbox.

makes packing lunch easy

I bought these because I wanted a simple way to keep organized when packing my kids' lunches for school, and they are exactly what I needed. The bottom compartment holds a good amount of food, and I like to use silicone muffin cups to divide it into smaller sections as needed. The top compartment is just right for sliced fruit or other snacks. The boxes look good and are easy to clean.
