I am a self declared Apple user. iPad, iPhone, Watch and... AirPods. Since the AirPods came out, I've had two sets. The Gen1 and then Pros. After 18mths, the sound quality would get slowly worse and for the latter as did the Noise Cancelling so....In 2023, I looked for something different and my head was turned to B&O. The look and feel of these EarPods are cracking and IMHO, the sound quality far superior to the Apple Pro. At first glance, they do look a bit bigger than the Pro's but don't be put off as they sit far more securely in the ear.In 2024, they are still working as expected. Brilliant sound quality, eye catching looks - very happy.

These ear phones have the best sound of any I've tried, very impressive clean & full. That, unfortunately is about all that is impressive. As others have mentioned, the ANC is lackluster. I have REPEATEDLY explained the circumstances under which this happens and they ask the same questions and completely ignore my answers. These are the most expensive wireless ANC headphones out there right now and they are NOT ready for prime time nor is their support remotely up to the task. Extremely disappointed and expected a great deal more from B&O.

I am the type that likes a good audio sound for my music, so being B&O and being on the expensive side, i thought I would buy these to replace my Galaxy buds pro. Overall they are very good, but the noise cancelling might as well be non-existent. On my buds pro, noise cancelling got rid of virtually all external noise, but there is hardly any difference between the modes on these. Its hard to tell if noise cancelling is on or off.Sound quality is fantastic, deep bass and clear mids and highs.comfort is amazing, they fit great and even stay in place when running (which is something the galaxy buds pro dont do at all).If noise cancelling is important to you look elsewhere, if not these are great at everything else (but i think too expensive).
Over the past few years I've tried countless different types of wireless earbuds, only to be disappointed by one or more key features from comfort to sound quality or reliability. But finally.. it would seem I have found the best of the best.Matching the ergonomics of the pro's, the noise cancellation of the ultra quite comforts, the B&O Ex's are seemingly in a league of their own when it comes to outright sound quality and audio superbity!Yes, they are pricey but, (if you are somewhat of an audiophile like myself) once you experience the amazing immersive effects of the B&O drivers being plugged into your ear canals.. The cost is by far outweighed buy the consistently brilliant sound they produce. The cost is by far outweighed buy the consistently brilliant sound they produce. From low end to high, you can hear every detail of the artist's recordings.. taking you to new heights and depths they other brands struggle to replicate..The app offers a variety of audio customisation and the call quality performance is also excellent. To top it off you have a very stable balanced piece of kit here, with 4 different sized ear gels ranging from XS to L, plus's a rather nifty M sized alternative set of foam earbuds they you can squeeze into shape.. (not to mention the overall lightweight design) meaning these earbuds are bound to find the sweetest of spots for any shaped ear.The solidly built aluminium wireless case is pretty nifty too.. honestly, if you take the plunge, you will not regret it.I certainly don't
I’m a long time user of B&O, Sennheiser, Sony, Bose, & Apple. B&O are higher build quality with the best sound. Does lack a bit in NC but underrated. I used the EQ on many flights with no issues. Second option that is top sound quality is Sennheiser but still lacks NC. To get the best sound, you have to sacrifice a little NC..Bose definitely has some of the best NC but not sound quality. Sony is a good comparison to Bose. Sony has slightly better sound quality but slightly less NC.Apple is only good if you’re buying the over-ear version.Overall, sound quality is most important for me & by far B&O is winning.
Being an audiophile I was looking for a product with a Sound Quality & Delivery really neutral and balanced with crytal clear details in mids and highs no matter what music was playing on my phone. I had the Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 3 and decided to try these ones. Don't get me wrong Sennheiser Momentum TW3 are really good but are not able to deliver every single details as of some wired Headphones are able to and this is probably due to Sennheiser sound signature and also drivers choices. At the opposite the Beoplay EX are doing it with exceptional results and considering that there is no wire connection at all this is really impressive nowadays. Bass is controlled and sounds really incredible. The separation between instruments in tracks are really noticeable thanks to Bang & Olufsen knowledge. The sound stage delivery is by far the best one I've ever heard from any Bluetooth Earbuds available in the market (thanks to the larger driver implementation). The app is also allowing you to tune in the EQ to have the sound delivery you're looking for WITHOUT sacrificing any details and instruments separation in tracks making the music listening experience even more immersive. To be clearly honest as an audiophile I can definitely confirm that in True Wireless Earbuds category the Beoplay Ex has NO COMPETITION in terms of sound quality and delivery which is basically really rare knowing that they are not wired headphones but are able to deliver as if it was the case!If you consider to get them please keep in mind that if your previous earbuds were really efficient when it comes to ANC delivery then this might be not for you. The Beoplay EX is made for the ones ready to go with an average ANC experience and to get the best sound quality, the most neutral and impressively detailed sound delivery as possible.
I bought is based off of other peoples reviews. I am definitely not impressed like everyone else’s. The controls on these headphones are the worst. You have to be really precise with where you touch to be able to play the song skip this song. Especially when you want to skip a song and have to touch the outside of the headphone more than one time. If you miss any of the area of the headphones the song will pause, and will have you sitting there waiting for it to play not knowing that its paused . It took me while just walking three or four times just to get it to skip a song because it kept pausing . I’ve tried several different headphones, and these are bar far the worst controlling ones I’ve used. Sound quality is good but not as good as I thought it was gonna be these are very expensive I would save my money by buying something cheaper.
So I have had these earbuds for about a month now and I can tell you where they are great and where they can improve. The sound quality is by far the best I have heard in a earbud especially paired with a HiFi music provider like Deezer as an example. I could hear instruments and noises in songs I never heard before. They are amazing in sound quality but the built in equalizer in the app is alright nothing to brag about. If it irks you that much you can find a 3rd party equalizer as well and some music providers also have a equalizer. The comfort in ear is pretty good and I haven’t had them fall out yet. They are pretty sturdy despite the glass because I have dropped them and no scratches!Where these earbuds lack is in the Noise Cancellation. They are not the best for Noise Cancelling but they get the job somewhat done and I listen to my music loud anyways so I can’t hear anything. Bose Quiet Comfort II is the best in Noise Cancellation hands down.Sound Quality: 9/10Build: 9/10Noise Cancellation: 6/10Overall I give 8/10I am more of an audiophile and don’t really care for the noise cancellation. I got these a bit cheaper with a reward and they were discounted a bit as well. Worth the money if you can afford but best paired with an android that runs a stronger Qualcomm chip and a music provider that has HiFi quality
Bang and Olufsen (B&O) changed things up with the Beoplay EX over the Beoplay EQ. They added larger drivers, increased comfort, added stems for better call quality, and improved ANC all while keeping their stellar build quality, feature set, and audio quality.I've gone through so many earbuds that I've lost track. Every time I think I find a pair that works for me, they either experience glitching, won't stay in my ears, or hurt my ears. I've given up on trying to find the absolute best earbud that's the most comfortable with the highest level of ANC and audio quality that I like.Other brands have come close in terms of audio quality, but their earbuds hurt my ears. I'm not sure what B&O has done here, as stem-styled earbuds usually fall out of my ears, but the Beoplay EX are extremely comfortable and stay in my ears. I can walk, eat, jog, exercise, bend over, and lay down without the earbuds budging. That's all with the medium rubber ear tips. The Beoplay EX are easy to pop in and out of your ears with a slight twist. They feature a stem and have improved phone call quality compared to the Beoplay EQ. They still aren't the absolute best but are a viable solution. The EX feature stellar audio quality. B&O added a larger driver in the earbuds and sculpted their sound to be a bit more neutral out of the box. There's still some emphasis on bass, these fit within the standard V-shaped Harmon curve, but they're mostly neutral as-is. B&O offer an EQ in their companion app. I wish it were at least a 3-band EQ, it isn't. B&O went with a more consumer-friendly approach with a circle and a selector you drag around. It works, but I would have preferred a 3-band EQ for more advanced users. It took me about a minute to find the EQ I prefer and, with it enabled, the EX really shine. Bass is booming without being overbearing and bleeding into the mids. Highs are prominent yet not piercing, and vocals are clean. Everything about their audio quality is clean and defining. The EX use Bluetooth 5.2 and you can use each earbud independently. I haven't had any skipping issues with my notebook, desktop, smartphone, tablet, or handheld console. They have a wide sound stage for earbuds, wider than I would have thought. I can place instruments and vocals with audio reaching further away than other earbuds that tend to focus audio in the middle of your head. Still not as wide as open-backed headphones, but better than most.Battery life is acceptable. B&O rates the EX for 6 hours of use with ANC and that fits in my experience. Turning ANC or transparency off results in better battery life (7-8 hours), but I'm fine with 6 hours. That's the norm these days for true wireless earbud battery life.Their case is small and made of the same aluminum as the earbuds. It features both USB-C and Qi charging. B&O's companion app can tell you the battery percentage of the case and earbuds. It's not as small as other earbuds from a fruit-labeled company, but it is smaller than most. There are only two drawbacks with the EX that keep them from getting a perfect score from me: transparency and ANC. Transparency is just OK, not as good as earbuds from said fruit-labeled company. It's serviceable, I just wish it were more natural sounding. Second, the ANC is on par with $100-$150 earbuds. It's fine and, when music is playing, you won't hear outside noise (these do get extremely loud). But, for their price, the ANC should be better.Having said that, the Beoplay EX have become my daily drivers for a few reasons. First, their audio quality is better than every other pair of true wireless earbuds I've tried (over 15 different pairs at this point). Second, I can wear them for hours on end without comfort issues and they stay in. Third, their build quality is as good as their audio quality. I can deal with having subpar transparency and middling ANC if it means having a better fit and sound quality.I highly recommend these for anyone wanting better sound quality out of their earbuds and are willing to have OK ANC.
