Beautiful electric range that has great performance. I’ve been impressed by its precise temperature control cooktop, even baking in a high performance oven, and easy clean-up to keep your kitchen looking great. Do get the oven rack roller rails for easy movement of items to/from the oven.

I like the design and have no issues with the oven. It was surprising that there is no oven timer.I have only one major complaint: The heating elements have a sensor that keeps them from getting "too" hot so that even at the highest setting (7), the element will turn off and on periodically. I want there to be a setting where the element is on all the time at full power (boiling water, stir frying in a wok, etc.). Unfortunately, I spoke with tech support and this is not possible. Our previous, "cheap" electric stovetop did not have this "feature"... so honestly did a better job at cooking food that needs high heat (stir fry, etc.). Bummer.

We've had this range cooker for about 7 months now, and regret buying it. It feels like a clear case of form over function. The major problem is that the temperature dials for the two ovens are imprecise: there are no markings for the temperatures between: 50-100; 100-150; 150-200 etc. So, if you want 180C you either need to buy an oven thermometer or guess and hang around the kitchen to keep an eye on your cooking! (Precisely as the previous reviewer commented, which sadly we didn't see before making our purchase). The thermometer on the central dial does NOT measure the oven temperature but the lining of the oven so is completely hopeless. This thermometer dial on our oven is also installed at an angle which is even more infuriating. So there's no correlation between the knob and this thermometer dial, we reported this as a fault to JL, but the engineer said it works as designed, and so JL were not interested in any further action. I'm cooking now, my oven knob says roughly 150 but the thermometer says about 200!!! I like baking and this is not conducive to being able to feel confident leaving something to cook. The ovens are quite noisy too, a low but loud rumble, I find it oppressive at times. The gas rings are very fierce, and will easily burn onions etc even at the lowest setting. We have to use the gas ring dials just past the ignition point to get an appropriately low heat. So, for us, the oven is not fit for purpose, and the JL customer support was woefully lacking. The cooker doesn't work as we would like, and we regret spending so much on something that we were immediately unhappy with. I think the Neff oven we removed was probably better! The review from the previous person is so similar there are clear problems here not being addressed by either JL or Bertazzoni - save your money!

I absolutely love this cooker. Such great quality. I got the black one, really lovely looking and performance is excellent. Food cooks so evenly. Really love the wok stand and the stand for use with small pans in the same material as the hob plates. Always had to position the milk pan just so on the old cooker or it would slip. When not in use the stand fits in the middle and is a great design feature. I haven't found anything not to like about this fabulous cooker. It makes me want to cook and bake. Highly recommend.
I have my range for 4 years now. It got broken under the warranty, took Bertazzoni 4 1/2 months to get the part and fix it. Now, 2 years later same problem and in 5 months theres no sign of having it fixed.when it is working properly the range is amazing, I would give it 5 stars. But if every 2 years it will broke down without perspective of having it fixed and Bertazzoni saying on an email that " this problem is not ours, because it is out of the warranty" I would give than a zero.
I received a broken stove that they are unable to install because the line inside the stove gas a gas leak. This stove was $15,000! AJ Madison is offering to repair it instead of replacing it with a new stove in working condition. This is a nightmare!
We bought this just over a year ago, for a new kitchen (all brushed stainless steel). It is really solid and the adjustable legs meant it would be perfectly flush with our granite work surfaces. It is fairly easy to keep clean, with a monolithic stainless steel surface around the burners. One thing to note - the oven temperature gauge is not very accurate - not really a problem once you get used to the ovens. We added a few internal temperature gauges, that help precisely control the internal oven temperatures. And it is great to have two ovens!! Have had nothing but excellent service from both John Lewis and Bertazzoni. Recommended if you are willing to pay for quality.
This is first induction range I have ever owned or used. Induction, is simply amazing! If you go with an induction range or cooktop, make sure you have the proper cookware that will work with induction. Fortunately, I love cooking with stainless steel, so all my cookware was compatible. You can do a simple test by seeing if a magnet will stick to the bottom. If it doesn't stick, it is not compatible with induction.Induction is commonly used in Europe and is just starting to become popular in the States. The technology behind induction is so simple, we should have been doing this long ago.My wife and so far absolutely LOVE our Berti! The technology behind induction is so simple, we should have been doing this long ago.My wife and so far absolutely LOVE our Berti! The oven is amazing to cook in, just be aware there is a learning curve if you are used to a conventional oven. The induction cooktop is just as easy to control as gas. The cooktop also is so much safer than coils or gas. We have small grandchildren and there is very little burn hazard with induction or risk of fire.Maybe a strange comparison, but we also have an Emeril French Door air fryer/convection countertop oven that we use almost everyday. The Berti oven works exactly the same way and configuration. This reduced the learning curve for us exponentially. When I show off our Berti to guests, I tell them of the comparison and they always get a funny look on their face until I show them the two and how they both work. Then they expression changes to "oh wow, that is so cool."We also purchased additional slides for the internal oven shelves. This is a feature you didn't know you needed until have it.We have not had our Berti for very long, but so far it is AMAZING and we nothing bad to say about it.One last note, if you have a Roomba vacuum, they can fit under the range with the free standing legs. This is another plus. :-)
induction is for sure the way to go. so much better than gas! Bertazonni offers a sophisticated style at a more reasonable price. I have never used anything else so really can't compare the performance to others. But for the looks alone it's worth the money.
The Romans reached their peak 2000 years ago and this appliance shows that. you take your life in you hands in lighting the oven: you have to open the door, light the pilot and hope it ignites. 9 times out of 10 it does not so you have a kitchen full of gas and you have to wait a minute to try and tempt fate again. Even as the oven lights and you close the door, 9 times out of 10 the flame goes out and then again you have gas flowing into your oven to prime like a bomb. Are you kidding me?! in the 21st century you can't design an oven to ignite without the delicacy of a backpacking stove? I would rather have a first century disease like leprosy rather than use this stove
