Bessey's Gear Clamp Transmission Clamps are out of this world What a bright idea, slipping the handle over the rail of the screw clamp, well away from the axis of the spindle. These clamps are in a handy size. The clamping hand grip helps in tight quarters. However, the lower pad can be easily knocked from its mount. Occasionally the clamp release mechanism jams. The clamps are a great idea, but version 2.0 should be better.
Functions adequately. A bit clunky feeling. I use it mostly to hold work pieces against the fences on my router table and drill table.
Could be used same as for heavy duty and precise jobs as well

I didn’t have a great answer for this problem until I discovered these Bessey GearKlamps. They engage solidly and claim to have 450 lbs. of holding power. Fantastic clamps, bought a pair of them. They are great for tight spaces like cabinets.
It's great. Hundreds of pounds of clamping force. 1/2 inch Acme screw for last 3/4 inch. Quick adjust to get within 3/4 inch. Built strong and rugged. Perfect workmanship. Get's into places that no other clamp can match. Unique.
Just used them extensively this week. Very convenient for clamping work to bench, as well as clamping stops and templates for free-hand routing. Easy access for tightening is extremely useful in cramped quarters.
