I have been an ardent fan of their DT100 headphones since the 1970's, and I own several pairs that I constantly use in my studio today, which goes without saying that the quality of the M90 Pro X microphone stands side-by-side with the superior quality of the DT100s. If it wasn't for the quality of their 'cans', I would not have given this microphone a second glance. Our voices suit a particular style of mic, and even though this has been marketed for the desk user, I am extremely happy with the results (I am a singer, songwriter, engineer and producer - mainly rock music / acoustic songs with both a strong and soft voice), and I am also especially pleased because the M90 Pro X offers a low self-noise at a remarkable 5.6dB. I bought this mic to replace my AudioTechnica AT2020 and i can say this mic is so much better. It requires nowhere near as much gain as other XLR mics in the mix which means it has almost no white noise/background noise when in use, Found this mic to be an excellent upgrade. Only reason for my 4 star review is the shock mount is plastic and the mic itself just sits in a suspended plastic cup in a pretty loose way but the mic itself is a 5/5.
