This CD has been in my CD player non stop. When not in the car, Ive been watching the accompanying visual DVD. This has to be one of the most amazing albums I have ever heard/seen. The visual DVD is my favorite. The cinematography, costumes, location etc etc are just amazing and no less than an amazing collaboration of music and art mixed together to make this masterpiece. I was a fan of Beyonce before this CD and it has only made me come to really really appreciate the true talented artist she is. Great job Beyonce. Keep em' coming.

For context: I don't consider myself a Beyonce stan, though I've seen her twice in concert. This is the first CD anywhere near remotely Beyonce related that I've bought (the HBO special made me do it), unless you count a Destiny Child's 'No, No, No' single CD from the 90s.I must say that this Lemonade thoroughly quenches my thirst!! It's a 'grown-folks' CD made by a grown woman that I think shows Bey's talent in amassing a team, in DC we say a 'rack', of amazing producers and collaborators. That chile has been been through some thangs, or knows someone who has, and produced this gem of a CD. And, the DVD is visually amazeballs.

I can't describe how fantastic this piece of work is...I was never a fan of hers but I decided to give it a shot because of how much attention this album got, and the money I brought it was worth it. The album is so easy to listen to, felt a bit short to be quite honest. The production on it is so good and lyrically it's amazing. I love the structure of the songs some are verry unique. I can't believe she did this album it's so different from the things I know from her. This is what I call artistic growth. Now I know why people call her a "Queen".

Okay, so I'm a little bit biased. I do own every English language Beyoncé album.But, I have listened to this virtually on repeat since it came out on Tidal. I even listened to it 5 times in one day. The extraordinary range of genres covered by this album, the honesty, anger and heartbreak of the lyrics, make it quite simply a sublime piece of work.On its own, it's right up there with some of the greatest records of all time. When you watch the video, it becomes a masterpiece.
She is the only female artist popping,' all these other girls are making hits while the Queen is over here making albums. And not just regular albums, complete visuals. I love this album because its unapologetically black and embrace all things that encompass the black woman. it's bold, brave, honest, and true. she displays how she's human just like us and hurt just like us; as her voice cracks during sandcastles. she showcases honesty about how she feels about her relationship. the production and thing writing collaborations are everything and more from Andre 3000 to The Weeknd. oh yeah this is a great breakup/forgiveness album, go get your life!
Beyoncé's last album, her self-titled visual album from 2013, literally stopped the world. It broke the internet, especially as a midnight surprise release, out of nowhere. Who would have EVER thought she could top that? Well, with 'Lemonade' she just might have. Not only is the music on 'Lemonade' great, the visuals and overarching story and message of the project is so powerful and important, and relevant, while still being timeless. It seems Bey only gets better with time and age!
Getting cheated is difficult. Getting cheated when you're Beyoncé is absurd. But when that's what you get, you make Lemonade. This album is making the best out of her bottled up emotions in an object lesson in production and well-rounded musicality. Women will no doubt gravitate towards this "He done me wrong" album but she has earned more of my male admiration with the way she handled it. In addition to the music is the arresting visual album which will put you in Beyoncé 's mind state which is both baffling and beautiful. This Beyoncé at her most vulnerable and powerful!

Somehow this woman has perfected a unique method for making an album (visually-speaking) which suits her perfectly and should become her continued approach for each record hereafter (but she has to do something a bit more grand next time around, and if she were to somehow read this...Girl I have some EPIC ideas). King Bey continues her SLAY on the delectable LEMONADE visual album. HBO was the first place to share LEMONADE in its entirety while viewers watched on in anxious awe. To captivate the public through the comfort of their living rooms, during HBO's free weekend trial was BEYOND. So, to separate the songs from the visual feels insane. Simply because the both of them flow so magically with one another. Especially, when the poems by the impeccable Warsan Shire are brought into play. Here's the thing... the visual album tells a conceptual story, from top to bottom. But, I will do my best. Bey starts off subtle with: melancholic 'Pray You Catch Me' and summery 'Hold Up'. But, when she digs deep into her Hard-Rock/Soul sensibility (who knew she had that up her sleeve) on 'Don't Hurt Yourself' she steps into her most ferocious territory with that song alone. Then keeps up the momentum with: the brilliant flip-off 'Sorry', swaggering purr '6 Inch', country-rock-soul secular hymnal legend of 'Daddy Lessons' and explosive Kendrick Lamar assisted 'Freedom'. But, for all that fire, she shares something cool and delicate with: the splendid (and 2nd personal fave) 'Love Drought', gut-wrenching 'Sandcastles' and hope-driven 'All Night'. So please watch the DVD portion and then enjoy the CD afterwards because King Bey is offering something truly memorable with this one in particular. I ain't lyin'
I appreciate all music and I love when artists challenge themselves and their listening audience. Beyonce who has been in the industry for over 20 years comes back with one of her most personal and amazing albums to date. Though from Destiny's CHild to her beginning solo career, lemonade introduces a culmination of things she briefly sang about prior. What I enjoy is that she knows how much people will consume music and challenges people to enjoy albums again. If she never made another album again, she would go out on a stellar note .
Destiny's Child's "Writings on the Wall" was the first physical CD I ever owned, and since then I've listed to everything Beyoncé has put out without fail. Naturally, I have a lot to say about all her previous work. Aside from one or two songs on this album, her previous work is largely and immeasurably better. But her work is outstanding, so this album is by no means mediocre. It's fantastic. I hear the messages. I understand her platform. I just want her to be a performer like she used to be. But I'm here willing to go with the change. Give it a listen!
