Love the smell of fresh coffee in the house! It works exactly as expected. The red colour is so perfect. I bought this for 1 person, an Italian friend has recently (firmly) told me I should have bought a 1 or 2 cup pot and save this for gatherings.I wanted something with no plastic and the only thing in it that isn’t metal is the rubber seal between the two segments, which can be replaced.I bought pre ground coffee to use but some grinds end up in the cup, so I still need to strain it through a coffee sock as I pour. I think this would be negated if I bought a coffee grinder and ground my own beans so they’re not so fine.

Quality product from Italy. This is a no muck-around pot for brewing. If brewed correctly, a ruch cup of coffee can be achieved. I learnt alot from the video 'Moka Pot Voodoo: Real Espresso Flavour'.Alternative Brewing online store is the real deal, I have bought several other products since and have learnt from them. Quality service and fast postage, online help, videos, I highly recommend this site.

I'm very pleased with the quality of the coffee brewed in the Moka express, but two things are worth noting. Calling the capacity 6 cups may be confusing. They're 6 espresso cups, each less than 2 oz. If you're adding steamed milk, you'll get 2 mugs of coffee. Also, the aluminum case gets very hot and must be handled with care. A french press yields coffee that's not quite as strong, but is much easier to work with.
I love it. I have used Bialettis for years but switched to a French press in recent years. The press takes two pots:one to boil and one to brew, and I have been unhappy with the taste. So I am back to the Bialetti. Now the gasket is attached to the pot, and I like that. I pour perfect water into the base of the pot and good ground coffee in the sieve above it, turn the heat quite low so as not to boil it, and presto: delicious coffee.
This Moka pot is awesome! Cannot believe we only discovered it now. We were using Keurigs for years before this and didn't know what we were missing. The Bialetti makes a delicious cup of coffee and is easy to use and clean. Knocked one star off because like another reviewer commented, the packaging was really bad. Box dented and crumbly paper inside didn't do much to keep product well intact.
Well made pot. Makes a great cup of coffee. I use it to make Starbucks style drinks for my kids and save a whole bunch of money and I love the espresso too.I heat water in the microwave before putting it in the pot and it reduces the time to make the coffee by a lot . Just make sure to clean it soon after each use to prevent stains and don't put it in the dishwasher. I haven't but I've read that it dulls the finish.
My first Moka Pot and once you have looked at a few Youtubes (James hoffman is good option) you do get the hang of the process and it does produce the 180ml of extract from the 300ml water as per spec on the 6 cup model. The size indication is probably given for Italians who would consider 30ml expresso as a cup, thus 6 cups from this model will only deliver 3 x 180ml cups of Armericano or cappuccino. Great method to have at hand as I can brew very nice coffee off-grid and on gas hob! Did also order the spare units for holder and seal rings
Bought it as an affordable alternative to an espresso machine. It is so light and compact that you'd almost think it was a toy! I bought the 3 cup, which makes the perfect amount of coffee for me. It has a lot of character and is definitely has that iconic Italian charm.It's really easy to use - I do recommend watching some YouTube videos to learn good technique and care :^)The coffee itself tastes comparable to something you'd get at a cafe. Especially with freshly ground beans!Keen to get a big one for sharing in the future!
I have no complaint about the pot itself. I use one and this one is intended as a gift. What I want to say is the shipping packaging is poorly done. Instead of bubble wrap or peanuts, the item is packed with crumpled paper on the bottom of the box, not even around. The manufacturer's box ended up crumbled and broken when it arrived. The shipping is terrible. Fast but terrible.
